i agree w you. trust me, i thought about picking em up for others, especially for the homie LORD MARVEL who has constantly hooked me up. the issue was my budget. i try to be strict with it once i have imposed limits... and it was literally the day after i shelled out for BAF GM - a heavy purchase.

while im not opposed to it, buying them for others requires time and materials to pack/ship, pay for postage, transfer paypal $ to my bank acct, etc etc.

unfortunately, i dont have time for that right now... but who am i kidding, LORD MARVEL has EVERYTHING!! :)

Pete is also a hoarder lolol , if anyone is new to the MU, just go on both of there BST and bam! Your caught up. I mean I don't need to catch up, but I go on there BST just to spend money, I quit hunting, full of disapoinTments, so I just got to the "market place" section of this forum.

Btw seen some avengers figs at wallys and TRU today, and I gotta say, I think they have learnt not to buy 20 cases of the first wave each. Cuz I only say about 10 figs in each store$ let's hope the pegs aren't cloGged wit Avengers stuff for a whole year Like IM2.

You are definitely a much stronger man than I. Symptoms of being a shopaholic make a lot of sense when it comes to my feelings about these toys, though I'd much rather chalk it up to OCD. I want to buy everything, if I get to keep it or not! I salute anyone who has the self-discipline to stay on a budget, especially if it is self-imposed.

My Treasures! I pile them to the ceiling!

Lol. I just can't pass up anything I think is cool in the handful of lines I collect. It's a problem, believe me. 12-steps may be in my future. ;)

That's a really good point about one case per store. It's nice to see them ease into it a bit this time. I wasn't around for the start of Thor or Cap, but I hope this approach is quite different.

It's true. I can honestly say that being able to provide stuff to people who can't get to it, or get to it reasonably is extremely rewarding.

And the majority of the collection I have is purely due to trades with fellow Arkers. It's amazing what a community can build!

Didn't you make your own? From what I re-call it was identical to this one. Unless you want him MOC...then that's different ;).

yeah but I more less want the box and card.

Tiberius 03-01-2012 07:50 PM

Fair enough man, hope you get it! You ever think about trying to make the LEGIT Secret Wars version of Doom?

What?! But yours is BETTER.
You could probably make a better custom card with the help of an arker, or you could do it yourself!
Did I mention yours had a removeable mask?

Hell you should! It'd probably turn out perfect.

Amen bro, thanks for all the love, Lord Marvel, and everyone else. Even those of us on budgets and with smaller spending scales can get in on the action.

It took long enough to assemble the hydra soldiers. They don't stand well...There's a lot back there but most are hidden.

They use the SDCC Cap legs so you'll need to do the ol' "superglue trick" to tighten them up, but they are the best articulated and sculpted figs in that line....only captain Britian comes close because for no reason I can fathom, he has rocker ankles!

Darkhawk and falcon are perfect examples of how wings on a figure should be done- they look great without them on and fantastic with them on!

Damn. I just can't justify paying for that Doom if he's going to come out later this year at half the price. I WANT IT THOUGH!

Jason Abbadon 03-01-2012 10:08 PM

That Steve Rogers head looks exactly nothing like Doom though! Just look at the damn box!
They did not even make it with the Secret Wars armor! Crappy repaint is NOT worth $70 plus dollars.
I'd skip it on a peg at retail, frankly.

Tiberius 03-01-2012 10:12 PM

I would too. I was hyped about it at the beginning but it has died down. The lack of MU on shelves around here is leaving me less and less interested in the line, even though the new 2012 figures look AMAZING.

agree with you i do.... lol "yoda voice"

NoodleChow 03-01-2012 10:24 PM

yeah might as well spend 20 bucks for a rogers, doom, and brown paint. granted he comes with the infinity gauntlet but still =\

but i can see why people would want it MOC. just needs to have a newly sculpted head at least to really be worth it to me.
