Just re-write it Ky, but simpler. One syllable words, short sentences. Three to four sentences tops....
|
I feel like once you establish plastic hair, everything kinda needs to be plastic.

Every one if my figures that cam with a hard cape now has soft goods. Punisher has a trench coat made from a Darth Maul cloak with no sleeves, Sentry, Thor, Odin, Dr Doom - all soft goods. Better than those disgusting plastic monstrosities. That reminds me, anyone need any plastic capes? Quote:

I find that I need the plastic capes a lot to help them stand.

Why the hell Hasbro thought to put that crease in Mag's cape really bugs me too. That being said the only soft goods on any of my figures are the coats from Iron Man 2's Nick Fury, and ironically my Punisher is wearing it too. I found the Nick Fury's for under $10 so I picked up two.
EDIT* I forgot that I used soft goods on my Banshee Custom. I still don't know how I would have pulled that off any other way. |

Some need the rigid capes and coats. It helps the figure look more defined like the coat fits and in other cases the capes actually allow the figure to stand by having that random extra support in the back. In other cases though it's a hindrance. When I made Doom 2099 I had to go cloth cape. He couldn't sit on his throne with that big plastic monstrosity behind him. So it's a give and take depending on what you need for the figure. |
do you have pics of Doom 2099? I've been on a 2099 flashback kick lately, I'm even trying to get a hulk 2099 toybiz figure off ebay for spidey 2099 to display with.

I would go either way regarding capes, whatever they come with I stick with. The only ones I can definitely say I prefer being plastic are Doctor Strange's for its shape and design and Adam Warlock's because it has the collar and it needs that metallic sheen. Darth Vader is an example of someone who I absolutely prefer with cloth capes, yeah he's Star Wars but he's just my example.

So as we know, Pilk is doing casting now, and he's got some great heads right now, and the Warlock/SDCC Doom Infinity Gauntlet!
£4 a pop because it's early days, an extra £1.50 for painted, which is far less than Vort or Glassman for painted. Shield Agent, Ultron & Kree army builder heads, unmasked Daken & Bullseye, Dum Dum Dugan. I've put in my first order, and because he's cast loads, he's got a stock in so the order is shipped out within a day or so, so no 6 month waits. Plus, buy 5+ you get them painted for free! I know I'm going to this guy from now on. http://i.imgur.com/RIUX0yv.jpg |

I fear that we are going way too off-topic. You should make a new thread for discussing this stuff. |
