Funny that I forgot that one too, given that I actually own the NECA power loader.

Super 7 TMNT Ultimates Wave 2 Pre-Orders End Soon and Bebop Update - The Toyark - News

Glad they came to their sense with Bebop! MUCH better!

Comedian 02-28-2020 10:11 AM

These look like so much fun. I can’t wait to have them in my hands! With the last masters figures that were released, suoer7 showed they can do these figures justice. I have both sets pre-ordered. Brain also said there are more of our favorites coming....muck-man.....he loves doing the big monster looking characters. The fact these are based on the figures is what does it for me. I’m someone whom usually likes the toy better than the media. The turtles toons are ok, but love was the figures. Making my own world. Plus, unlike the neca stuff....I don’t have to hunt around for these.

ludovicotek 02-28-2020 11:17 AM

Gotta give Super7 props for including the alternate head for Bebop. I liked the pink head that referenced the original figure, but can't deny the brown one looks great.

I’ll tell you what. Brian listens. And all the companies follow these boards.

Nice of them to wait until the day before deadline before unveiling this update.

Everything you said +1

I like the pink face! The brown one looks damn good tho too XD noice.

Way too go Super7!
Im getting insanely excited. Like, I gotta calm down a little ya know? Got the shakes just thinkin' bout gettin' my hands on them OO-WEEE!!

Comedian 02-29-2020 08:24 AM

I think these are the most excited have been since motuc and Batman the animated series from dc direct.

This is what many of us want. Updated figures that are bigger from when we were kids. Motuc hit that nerve. The animated Batman line hit that nerve. The power rangers are working....they need big zords though.Even the 6” Star Wars hits the mark. These are what we had as a kid but bigger and better. That’s what hasbro missed on ghostbusters. They should have done the real ghostbusters in six inch scale with more articulation. Like what diamond did.....look at those prices now...holy crap. Instead they re-issue the same exact figures we had from 35 years ago. Total fail. Then Mattel does he-man origins which look worst than the figures 40 years ago, you have to work real hard to screw up the nostalgic mood sweeping the 25-45 year olds going on now.

No offense, but a lot of people are happy with the reissue of the Kenner Real Ghostbusters figures. Not a fail at all in my book. And this is just the beginning, there's nothing that precludes Hasbro making highly articulated 6 inch Real Ghostbusters in the future.

Comedian 03-01-2020 04:48 AM

They are doing six. The same six they did 35 years ago.Exclusive to Walmart. Their movie figures look like the Mattel versions....in fact many comments I’ve read say many prefer the Mattel versions. The missed the boat with both of those lines. They had a chance to do something new and totally failed. The kids $9.99 line however is creating more of a buzz. Those feel like what we had as kids. Funky ghosts, cartoon looking figures and a vehicle. That line wins, because it’s different yet captures the spirit of the ghostbusters figures from the 80s. The odds of any new collectors finding the retro at Walmart is next to zero. Total fail.

Now super7 gets it. They listen to fans.....because they are fans.

Edit:
Please don’t take this as a jab at you wonderful toys. I just feel hasbro should have wowed us more. But like you said many are happy with this, I just feel they missed a chance to really wow us.

lots of people talking about articulation. me, personally, i really hope there's as little articulation as possible. here's why - i want to display these. they're beautiful sculptures. i want them to be almost like kaiju sofubi, or statues, without the visual interruptions of articulation seams. i personally don't need to pose them or play with them. i just want them to look as good as possible.

as for what i'm hoping for, mostly the weird mutants. here's my list of characters i'd like to be in the line, ranked:

(ideal)
Ray Fillet
Wingnut & Screwloose
Scumbug
Antrax
Mondo Gecko
Slash
Leatherhead
Metalhead
Triceraton
Sergeant Bananas
Doctor El
Chromedome
Wyrm

(nice to have)
Half court
Merdude
Hothead
Scaletail
Pizza face
Dirtbag
Groundchuck
Scratch
Sandstorm
Fugitoid

EvilMonkeyPope 03-16-2020 10:53 PM

Then why not just stick with the originals?

Better sculpts, better paint, bigger size. An upgraded homage to the originals.
