I'm getting up tomorrow and waiting outside Target to be the first inside, they've been keeping to the street date of the 14th despite me showing them the Hasbro press release, I just pray they have something to stock haha

That's the scene I was thinking of! Amazing how a relatively minor scene from a nearly 40 year old cartoon has managed to stick with me all these years.

I finally saw some 6" Joes at my Gamestop today... some lady came in and bought them all too... well, one of each... she seemed really happy about finding them.

The thing for me is... if I ever buy any of these I will most likely never open them since I can just play with all my 3.75" Joes whenever I feel like playing with Joes... and if I never open them I don't even know what the point is of buying them.

I've always felt that leaving toys in the box was pointless. Even if you don't play with them after opening the box, you can still leave them in fun poses around your home. :)

Man after hearing all the bad shit that went down with those target exclusives think I wont even bother trying to get into this line.

What happened? Sorry, I've been out for a while.

Long story short hasbro Gave target a street date, but some targets sold their exclusive gi joes to some people and others disnt. Then hasbro changed streets date to aug first but many targets still wouldn't sell but other people still got em and when said street date hit no targets had any. So so far the initial wave one is still mia at many retail stores, the target exclusives where sold out in seconds thanks to scalpers bots and collectors and fans are pissed. And thats the short version.

Personally i was kinda stoked but after this i really don’t see myself getting into the joe classified line. Have enough grief dealing with marvel legends i don’t wanna have more with a fubared joe line.

Well it's pretty bad now, but I'm sure there will be restocks.

Were you able to get your Joes? I saw a beach head and didn't even realize it was the target exclusive one, which I know was released way before 8/14 street date. I guess I should have grabbed it...That and the Baroness are the only ones that I want from that exclusive line...I was able to grab a Cobra Trooper.

... Except she now has a Calista Flockhartesque head size :eek:

You got the HFC already? I love the Jean Grey Black Queen sculpt. I went with the Retro BW head which is perfect and Silk head as a custom.

Didn't find diddly besides a single Roadblock, they must've put them out the day before. I'm really sick of this shit, Target's exclusives are so spotty and not a word from Hasbro on the situation! I'm probably just gonna cancel my Cobra Commander and PD Destro orders, no use collecting a line where I'll always be unable to obtain the figures I want!

^ I was the exact same way with G.I Joe Kre-Os... it was a TRU exclusive and my TRU literally only ever got one case of wave 1. But then they got tons of wave 2 and 3, but since I missed out on wave 1 and all the main characters I just skipped collecting Joe Kre-0s. I still think they are cool though.

Also the new 3.75" retro Joes are gonna be Walmart exclusives I think... so they basically don't exist to me since I have never even seen a Hasbro Walmart exclusive at any of my Walmarts in the same year that they are supposed to come out.

I know it is hard to say but if we give it some time they will be so deep in these that they will be discounted. They should have planned better, but is that there fault, Hasbro's, or the pandemic? Who knows. It makes me mad as well but I just keep hunting.

Nah dude. They had enough time to figure the logistics of this, and to make an army builder a store exclusive? That is indeed some BS. I know we'll probably get more versions of the trooper down the line, but I'm already soured on this series. Plus, Targets are notorious for being feast or famine with exclusives (Carbonized Mando, Gammorean Guard? Never even saw them in stores. Whatshisnuts Slug Guy from the Solo movie? I could build a house with the unsold boxes of him!) There's way more important shit for me to be dedicating mental bandwidth to besides jonesing for severely under-produced toys by a company just trying to get me in their store to browse :p

It's definitely a gorgeous sculpt, and my absolute favorite Marvel character. Just threw it on the Scarlett figure for fun, but was really impressed by the look. Reminds me of the original o-ring Scarlett, before the figure actually had a sculpted ponytail.

Ebay. With my job and schedule, I've never been able to order any of the SDCC sets when they're released after the cons. So I went ahead and bit the bullet ahead of time for once. Been saving up for it, so it all worked out for the best.

I just thought of something they could add to the G.I. Joe Classified line as a fun nod to the Real American Hero cartoon, but it might be too silly nowadays.

I was thinking maybe the balloons with Cobra Commander's face drawn on them, or some kind of nod to the episode where Cobra attacks a city with giant produce (even leads to Bazooka getting hit by a giant potato and asking "Got any sour cream?").
