4755, so the number is going back up. I'm curious how this week is going to go. Again I look at Galactus do from "Might just barely get backed" to "absolutely obliterating tiers".
I'm thinking a reason nothing is being said by Hasbro is because the real numbers are much higher that the loss of 400 people is nothing or.......they don't want to admit they messed up. Honestly they really should have waited. There's literally a Star Wars series(essentially movie) coming out soon. It would have been beneficial to start this thing while Boba Fett was streaming to hype people up. Like if there is a Rancor like monster in the show I will sign in extreme disappointment. |
Retailer orders will more than account for the loss once added in, and like Galactus there will be a last minute surge of orders.
Anyway Skystriker's in the same position, but by say Thursday I think you'll start to see the numbers rise. |
This will be an interesting one to watch. If I had to guess, I would guess it funds at the last minute. That FOMO is a real thing. But if this thing doesn’t get past 5,000 again real soon….I may have some concern. Which totally stinks for those that want this.
|
If retailers/overseas numbers will make this fund anyway, I don't know why they're not already added to entice people to order if 1 or more of the tiers is already there. It's weird to add them like the last day.
|
Just the nature of it, they want to wait until deadlines are reached and add them in then. They'll add some orders in soon most likely, but generally you're not going to see big gains on any of these HasLabs until the final days.

So.... Malakili at 9k. did this change anyone's mind?

Isn't it Rancor Keeper, Gamorrean Guard, Luke, and Salacious Crumb? Who is the fifth? |

The crying bit was so damn funny to me as a kid.

There is no way this campaign will hit ANY of the Tiers.
That is why Hasbro added Malakili into the base price. The final product is going to be a Rancor and the Malakili. If the campaign ended with no tiers unlocked, and it's just a Rancor, people would be even more pissed than they already are. Likely backing out last minute as it's barely approaching the finish line. Malakili was the number one requested addition to the campaign. With that added they are hoping to at least push people over the finish line. Chances are they will never re-release the Malakili figure to increase its value tremendously. Which adds the necessary monetary compensation most collectors want to justify the cost of a Rancor and one figure for $350. If at some point Malakili is worth at least $100 then the Rancor had a cost of $250. Which is what people said should have been the price to begin with. It's the first smart thing they have done with this campaign. If they thought this all out from the beginning it would have been a great campaign because all the other decisions for tiers would have followed suit. $350 would look like a bargain. Oh, and the Rancor should be smaller, that's just me sayin'... |
The Rancor and Skystriker has been utterly fascinating... like one giant social experiment.

Too little, too late, too expensive. Pass.

Oola (and Slave Leia) will never happen because Lucasfilm is full-on woke now (100% awoken) and views those as "objectification of women"--which, is an entirely separate debate...but they're in the film, just like films that use guns in every scene need to anticipate/respect that people are going to want guns with products of figures of said films...
Tha brainless/careless/idgaf attitude of licensors these days is just shit. Even if someone saw Oola as an accessory and was somehow offended by it... again, it's in the film, so it's really up to Hasbro/Lucas to grow a spine here. Actually, you know what would be hilarious is if we could somehow get Femi Taylor to @ Hasbro on Insstagram or something and ask why there's no figure of her in the set. Granted, Hasbro and Lucas would completely ignore it... which would also be funny... |
Still too much for Rancor or Skystriker. They both need to fail to send a message that collectors aren't willing to spend more than what something is worth. I'm all for paying a fair price for a dream figure, but these Haslabs are getting out of control. Crowd funding is supposed to help the little guys who have a project or idea and don't have the funds to make it happen without us. Hasbro makes billions a year and having us shoulder the cost is ridiculous. And then jacking up the price to make an insane profit off of us just isn't right. I'm voting with my wallet - no sale.

So I guess I just don?t understand the wokist approach to abolishing all history of wrongdoings regardless of the lessons they teach in the present and the context in which they were presented in popular media while still simultaneously harping on about these same injustices at every possible opportunity. If anything, ROTJ teaches us that strip clubs are where nasty people hang out and mistreating a women will get your windpipe crushed. But nah- female character not presented as infallible at all times = bad. Must erase. |

We always shoulder the cost but indirectly. We pay the store that paid Hasbro. Hasbro will spend it's own money with the goal of getting it back and more. When the store is bypassed though the cost of production goes up because they are producing way less units, then the amount Hasbro has to charge goes up. Hasbro is a business and not a charity. These items are no essential for living so it's all a luxury. Charging low prices is not about looking out for us but finding an amount we are comfortable with paying. The crowdfunding model isn't taking away money from smaller companies. If How is backing a crowdfund any different then making a preorder(that's made to order at that) is the case of a Haslab? Product costs aren't low just because Hasbro is a big company. it's because they usually sell a ton of merch. Hasbro makes billions yeah, that again doesn't make production cheaper. They are not trying to be in the negative in these Haslabs nor make a $1 profit. You are absolutely correct to not pay if the product vs price is not acceptable. But understand what Hasbro is doing with the Haslabs isn't insane(or "Greedy") but I personally think they are making poor choices. |
With them including Malakili I'm flipping back and am in now again. I'm glad it's something and they finally listened.

We will ABSOLUTELY see Slave Leia again some day, and Oola as well. I imagine in the next year or two, we will get an Archives Slave Leia, with face printing. They'll change the name to Prisoner or Hutt Slayer. But there is WAY too much money in that character and that iconic outfit. They won't allow wokeness to hurt their bottom line. Oola will come later, when they are hitting more niche characters. People need her to finish their Jabba's palace scenes.

Not sure about everywhere but when slave Leia was out she pegwarmed more than rose did at every target in my area. It might just be she doesn't sell.
