Just about everything revealed looks dope. I’ve wanted a good modern Luke Cage forever (I hate the Hyperion body they used on the last one) and more members of the Astonishing Team are great.

If I had a gripe, it’s that I would’ve preferred the Warbird figure be in the red costume so they could include an alternate Moonstone head. Since it was leaked we’re getting a new Iron Patriot this year and we already have Marvel Boy, Ares and Sentry, it’d be great to start building out the rest of the Dark Avengers.

The Ghost Rider I've wanted an update to for years. Looks great! Rarely do I buy two of the same figure, but I just might with GR. The others looks good as well. Logan's arms seem like they might be a bit too long but have to see how he turns out. I appreciate the sculpted details on his body

Pics of some parts for the Odin figure, (Helmet, Skirt, Boots), recently leaked online.

Id love it if they redid bor and made it a two pack!

Can't wait to see that Ms. Marvel body reused for characters like Psylocke and Elektra.

Same. Maybe we'll see a multi-pack with the rest of the Dark Avengers in need of an update.

Ghost Rider (Ketch version) looks just plain cool, a very nice treatment of the character as rendered by artist Javier Saltares. Nice, nice job.

Tarkin 05-01-2024 07:17 AM

bike looks great. But whats up with the hollowed-out "headlights". That should be a piece of translucent plastic or at least painted.

Fair point. I don't even notice it except in the direct front view. The designers probably decided that a cutaway in dark (black or almost black) plastic surrounded by white brush work would match the stark contrast of black eye sockets (holes) against white skull bone. Make sense? I don't have a problem with it, because I intend to display the bike sideways.

interesting. not a dealbreaker, just curious what the thought process was

Venom - Marvel Legends 85th Anniversary

Wow, a very good sculpt of original, authentic Venom. I especially like his closed-mouth grin -- very reminiscent of Mark Bagley's drawings, IMO!

deecee4 05-08-2024 03:58 AM

An original Venom would be McFarlane not Bagley...including that grinning head. Overdone hanging tongue is-I think-Larsen or maybe Bagley, one of those artists post-McFarlane.

Thatannoyingguy 05-08-2024 04:32 AM

Venom is Walmart exclusive. Just not happy about that. Guess I may be stuck with Venom with two giant holes on his back.

wouldnt mind this head.

WallySparks 05-09-2024 10:27 AM

dunno if you noticed but every and any action figure whether its old G.I. Joe, transformers even the old Toybiz figures they all had holes in the back. never bothered me back then and it doesn't bother me now

So deal with your new Marvel Legends figures having holes on their shoulders or backs

Don't be obtuse. They aren't just a little hole like a GI Joe backpack. They are holes leftover from the shoulder armor used for the Omega Red buck. There's one above each scapula. They're super obvious 5mm ports and ugly as shit. It's a lazy as hell move by Hasbro and a valid complaint.

TENIME_art 05-09-2024 03:12 PM

There's only one shot of his back, and I don't see any holes.

I think Thatannoyingguy was talking about the wing holes from the King in Black 2-pack Venom, since finding a Walmart exclusive is rarely easy (except the A-holes who don't have the problem & can't conceive of anyone else having it either "well, I always find a peg wall full of every store exclusive, so everyone else must be lying!!").

Do you think there will be a link up soon?

WallySparks 05-10-2024 12:41 AM

Deal with it

I’m not talking about the one with little holes in the shoulders, I’m talking about the Knull/Venom two-pack that comes with wings, his back has HUGE circular holes. I like Knull Venom, but I want a Venom that doesn’t have any holes on him, and this new figure is perfect.

Venom is yet another exclusive that will be impossible to get. I'm so sick of this garbage.

Preordered. Will put it next to my HotToys Carnage, recreating the finale when Carnage gets the size of a building. lol

I forgot that movie existed and there's a 3rd one this fall.

I'm 10 superhero movies (and various streaming shows) behind at this point.

Well most of it is garbage nowadays so you don’t miss much. Just check out the ones you know are good. Venom wasn’t too bad. I was lookijg forward to Echo but the first few minutes immediately turned me off. They have to load everything with weird dumb crap that ultimately makes no sense but it’s part of their cult so they have to inject it into everything.
