The Target in Apex had the older GI Joes, including Renegades, on clearance for $5 something yesterday (on an end cap) and a pretty good assortment of the Retaliation stuff on the main action figure aisle.
|
Hey, if anyone's interested, the heads on the 3 3/4-inch Batman figures pop off (kind of like the 25th anniversary GI Joes and some of the other toy lines). I took the head off the pajama-time Bruce Wayne and put it on a basic black Batman body and made a pretty cool Batman unmasked figure.

Finally found 2 Iron Man and 2 Captain America Walmart Exclusive 7" Avengers Movie figures at the Walmart at Brier Creek, got 1 of each. Found The biggest display of Spider-Man movie figures at the Walmart on Glenwood at Duraleigh. Picked up the Ultra Poseable (New Movie Costume), Capture Trap (Ben Reilly Costume), Web Cannon (Miles Morelas Ultimate SM (Close)) and the movie series Reptile Blast Lizard all 4". Also found the new 1/50 scale Hot Wheels Batman Vehicles at the Target on Lynn Road. Picked up the 60's Bat Copter to go with the 60's Batmobile and Bat Boat.

The TRU in Cary had the TRU exclusive Batman Dark Knight Rises QuickTech comic book 2-packs this weekend. There are two...they're basically just repaints of Banes and Batmans but the blue Batman repaint was cool enough for me to pick up. The comic book that came with it was actually pretty substantial. It was almost like a trade paperback. But that's probably fair considering the price point was $21.

I have called around to about every Walmart that i can and have given them the UPC numbers, but none are in stock. I did give the UPC # for Hawkeye and the lady said that she thought that they would get a shipment in by mid-June. I was pretty lucky on the Captain America/Thor Walmart Exclusives. Found all pretty quick, but the Bearded/Comic Thor took a little longer. BTW, the Dark Knight Rises comics 2-packs, are they 6"/7" or the smaller ones? If the smaller ones had more articulation i would have gotten them, just done like figs that don't bend at the elbows AND knees. Also, have you seen the Catwoman Movie Master figure, i have all the other 3, but saw online about the Catwoman. |
The comic book 2-packs are 3 3/4-inch but they also had the adult collector series Batman versus Bane Movie Master set. Yeah, the articulation on the smaller figures is pretty minimal. The knees bend (on the Batman figures) but other than that it's pretty much just the 5 basic joints.

Spotted 2 7" Captain America's and 1 Iron Man Avengers Walmart Exclusives at the Holly Springs Walmart today.

Toysru in Durham was carrying the Hotwheels 3-Pack Batman Vehicles. All were the 1:50 scale vehicles. Retro pack had the 1960's TV Batmobile in Chrome, Super Friends Batmobile and Comic Book batmobile. Pack 2 had the Batman Begins Batmobile, The Dark Knight Batpod and the Dark Knight Batmobile. Pack 3 had the 1989 Batman Movie Batmobile, Batboat and Batwing. Also they were carrying the TRU exclusive Series 46 minimates for the Amazing Spider-Man Movie Gwen Stacy/Dr. Curt Connors, Vigilante Spidey/Capt. Stacy. Scifi Genre had the "Expendables" minimates.

NCCollector great meeting you at Walmart today in Holly Springs. Always cool to meet a fellow collector in the aisles. And thanks for seeing the Alfred figure for me today!
I'll keep an eye out for the 6" Avengers for you. |
Great meeting you too, Supes. And I will keep an eye out for Loki. Just let me know if there is anything else that you are looking for in particular.

Well, the Walmart Exclusive Avengers Figures should start showing up in alot more place now.....I broke down and got the other four i needed from local ebay seller. Probably came out about the same with all the running around i was doing. Anyhow, ya'll are welcome, because i have always said that patience is the best thing to have when hunting and i got too frustrated, so now they should be popping up everywhere.

I saw some of the Walmart Avengers figures at the Greensboro toy show a week ago. They were marked up, but not too bad ( $20). I found a $10 Ghost Rider Transformer to be the bike for my MU figure. And the Marvel Select Hulk at the regular price from SSalefish there. There is a toy show this weekend in Raleigh too.

Told Ya!
Yesterday saw a Thor and Loki Walmart Avengers Exclusives at the Walmart in Brier Creek (look behind the wrestling figs for Loki) Today, saw both Loki and Thor (along with a crap load of Caps and Iron Man) at the Walmart in Apex and the Walmart in Fuquay. |
the only Wal-Mart Avengers I ever see are Captain America and Iron Man. We already have a dozen Iron Man figures.

Hey guys.
I'm new to this site, but I've been on hiss tank and tfw. Anyway, glad to be a part of the collecting community here. To stay on topic though, I mainly hunt for Transformers and GI Joe figures. I don't bother with Star Wars much lately because it seems like the pegs are full of the same stuff all the time. The newest thing in my area (I live near the VA border) has been the wave 3 of Prime, but of course the Vehicon figure is always gone. :) |
Went to Heroes Con for Saturday. Didn't meet Stan Lee this time, but the place was way crowded this year. Seemed like double of previous years. Most toys were way marked up including the new Walmart Avengers series, and the new Catwoman at $65. Found a few toys at good prices, $40 DC BAFs, $20 JLU 6-pack sets. I was surprised to find more toys I wanted at the Raleigh toy show. Picked up a Jumbo PRiSpace Megazord for $30 in great shape. One seller had the new Mattel DC Signature series for sell, including Metron w/chair for $80.

pacozord, when did you go the Raleigh show this weekend? Sunday? I went Saturday and found a Mustang from the Robocop series I'd been wanting for a while! |
Went to the Raleigh toy show last Sunday, and I'm looking forward to the show in September. Good find! I haven't seen the Robocop toys before.
Just saw the Bumblebee Shadowstriker RID at Walmart Brier Creek yesterday. |
Good!! I have been looking for a bumblebee toy.
