Man... i love looking at your marvel bloks guys, before... i always ignore those release when they hit the shelves, never thought that there's already been a great improvement on the sets and the figures themselves. Now i'm currently backtracking with the figures that came out from the earlier packages. If any of you guys have the figures from spiderman 3 movie or hulk and willing to sell them please let me know. Thanks in advance :D

Btw, just wanna share my series 1,2 and 3

http://i977.photobucket.com/albums/a...R/P1050055.jpg

also looking for Battle Damaged Ironman MKVI and Armored Spiderman.

Thanks in advance

I bought it at a local japanese thrift shop here in the philippines, where you can buy everything at 88php or 2usd each. What's better is that they are stackable.

iLegends73 01-07-2012 03:29 AM

real nice. i saw the ones u have for your marvel universe figs too.

Yeah, that is a cool display. I might have to find one down the road.

Just a heads up that I have created a new checklist thread for the whole series here:

Marvel MegaBloks Minifigs Checklist - Toy Discussion at Toyark.com

I also wanted to mention that there is a 5th revision for Series 1 (which still does not include Armored Spidey or BD Iron Man).

I have personally confirmed every number in this new revision. Turns out somebody had opened 3 of them and left them on the shelf which told me who IM and WM were. Then by feeling the packaging I confirmed which ones were Venom (longer torso) and Green Goblin (glider). With the Spidey figures, there were more in the box of one versus the other, and since I still needed Black Spidey I bought the one that was less common. Turns out I was right on that as well.

Now to work on Series Two and Three....

itMFtis 01-17-2012 12:25 PM

Now that I finally got my hands on series 3, I'll comment >: ) I really liked the base bodies for each one as well as the paint. Only disappoint is the accessories for a few of them, namely Cyclops and Magneto. They really couldn't come up with some optical blast accessory? The figure I was surprised about was Mr. Fantastic because I originally didn't care for him, but his accessory made up for that by a mile.

I'm crossing my fingers that they release some more of these guys. They blow the Lego ones away. Hope to see them reuse the Venom mold because we've only received normal-sized dudes in the last 2 waves.

Assuming they're able to keep going in spite of Lego's licensing deal, I have no doubt that they could use the Venom torso to make a lot of the larger characters like Colossus, Apocalypse and Juggernaut.

or they could at least release those early figures like Hulk and Abomination and spiderman 3 characters etc in blind packs. man... i can't forgive myself for ignoring those before when they were released.

Didn't Mega Bloks get hit recently with a request to stop exporting to America by LEGO, and they're trying to fight it in court? I really want the older Hulk/Abomination ones, and I'd love to pick up a Lizard from Spiderman. A few of the Spidey sets can be found at TJ Maxx and Marshalls, just so you know.

Yeah, they're great. I'd keep buying new ones if there were more characters, I mean, you can pick one up with loose change, and that is very appealing to a collector.

Yes, and MegaBloks is suing Lego in response. See here for an article about it.

Somewhat ironic, since MegaBloks has been sued by Lego numerous times in several different countries since the early 90's (when MB first entered the small-block format market). Mostly the suits were for apparent trademark infringement (AFAIK, Lego has lost every time). And in this case, I believe it is just another feeble attempt by Lego to regain their monopoly on the building-block market. MegaBloks has been doing business in the US for over 20 years now. It's time to let it go, Lego. I realise that it's something you're not used to doing, but give it a try once.

And TBH, I would love to see Lego try to sue Hasbro over the Kre-O brand. Hasbro's pockets are a hell of a lot deeper than MegaBloks, and their legal team is nothing to sneeze at, either.

itMFtis 01-18-2012 10:42 AM

Any recommended sets, either from Lego or Mega Bloks, that go well with all these new Marvel figs? For example, now that we have a Magneto, I'd be interested in picking something up with a lot of metal or gray looking blocks. Another example is Iceman and some clear looking blocks like the one his included stand uses.

I still can't find series 3 in stores anywhere. Seen it once over xmas and passed, now just 1 and 2 everywhere.. bah

itMFtis 01-27-2012 11:04 AM

I saw that Mega Bloks is doing mini figures for the new Spider-Man movie coming out. At least there is hope that we might get other villains besides Lizard.

I wish I could find the little Lizard figure they already released, it looks really cool.

quinten182 01-27-2012 12:49 PM

I was just going to grab the whole line once I seen them again. It's cool, I'm sure they're around, just not at any of the stores I'm hitting up!
