LOL. He's the only figure I haven't unboxed even though he's one of the first figures I ever bought. Every now and then, I take him out of the box and sniff him for a while and then put him back. I sure hope it isn't toxic...

Tiberius 03-11-2012 10:25 AM

All these figures are way to cool for my own good. Goodbye extra cash.

Tiberius 03-11-2012 11:31 AM

Also just realized I need a Man at Arms figure and Fisto...fuck my life.

thechris 03-11-2012 11:36 AM

Yep. And Teela and Orko and Prince Adam and King Randor and Queen Marlena and Stratos and Sy-Klone and Roboto and Buzz-Off.

Tiberius 03-11-2012 11:40 AM

Teela for sure. To hell wit Orko and Prince Adam. Randor, Marlena and musts. Startos and Sy-Klone are passes, Roboto if I can get for cheap and Buzz Off is a pass for sure too.

Optimus Vader 03-11-2012 12:25 PM

Here's a picture of my unopened MOTUC's. Most I just haven't had a chance to open yet. Some I'm keeping MOC, like the SDCC sets.

I hate you...I really want that DCUC vs MOTUC pack...badly.

My reason for deciding to subscribe for the first time this year!!

In a way, Battleground Evil Lyn is both more Filmation and 200x accurate. She didn't ever have Simpsons yellow skin in either cartoon and she had a cape and the colouring is pretty close costume wise.

It's the only way to get Battle Armor Faker. I needed Bizarro, too, so it was worth it for me to get it as well. Now all I need is Weapon Pak 2 to get his Orange Axe and Shield.

Optimus Vader 03-12-2012 05:02 AM

I really wish I got a second Faker vs. Bizarro set because I don't want to open the one I have. The set was originally supposed to hit TRU's, but then they went and cancelled the line of two-packs.

It's really too bad they used a giant blister rather than the slideout window box packaging they used for some of the oversized MOTUC sets. You can get away with removing Battlecat, Panthor, Gygor, Tytus, Megator, Wind Raider, Swiftwind, the Mo-Larr 2 pack and the Eternian Palace Guards without damaging the packaging whatsoever which is a huge plus.

Optimus Vader 03-13-2012 11:04 AM

I wish ^^

In all honesty I don't see myself selling the set any time soon, so there's no problem with me opening, but once in a blue moon there's a package that I feel looks like it was just made to be, and Bizarro vs. Faker falls into that category for me, so I might even have to get a protective case for it.

In other news, I opened my Demo Man last night. New hips! I completely forgot they were moving towards some new joints. Solid figure.

Tiberius 03-13-2012 12:47 PM

OPEN IT MAN!! Those are 2 sweet looking figures! Heck, if you don't want Bizzaro, I'll take him hehe.

Shin Densetsu 03-13-2012 12:56 PM

Alright just got the following in recently:
  • Battle Cat
  • Panthor
  • Skeletor
  • He Man
  • Demo Man
  • Molarr
  • Vikor
  • Keldor
All are excellent figures, great paint apps, joints that were reasonably tight, and quality control all around was pretty good, I can see why these cost more(in addition to the lower production runs) compared to figures on shelves. These are great toys. I dig how Mattel is making some 20XX characters as well. Always dug the Keldor design and the MOTUC version doesn't disappoint.

Might pick up Thunder Punch He Man. Hope we get a Snake Armor He Man too. Might pick up one of the gorillas.

Great buys. I suggest Gygor. The Shadow Beasts are more like army builders.

I actually kind of want to open the pack for Bizarro more.

Vikor's an awesome figure! He's easily one of my fave three figures along with Hordak and Man-At-Arms. He's one of the few heroic warrior figures I opened (also opened Icarius, Zodak amd Man-At-Arms).

Just got my Keldor in the mail. I'll probably take his cape and put it on Skeletor. He seems to be missing something while riding on Panthor and the cape was just that!!!

Optimus Vader 03-13-2012 08:05 PM

Have you guys noticed the magazine laying on the floor in Mo-larr's dungeon office? The packaging in that set alone is worth it.

thechris 03-13-2012 10:39 PM

Yeah I kept my Mo-Larr pack boxed. It really needs to be. I have Skeletor (with all his teeth) and Mo-Larr isn't part of the actual mainstream MOTU Universe and it looks great to display.

thechris 03-13-2012 10:47 PM

Actually, now that I think about it, the fact that I could repaint the extra Havoc Staff in FILMATION colours almost gives me more incentive to open the box... Hmmm...

trebleshot 03-14-2012 05:51 AM

While I love the look of these figures and wish I could afford to get into this line, I'm just going to have to be content with living vicariously through you guys. So maor pix, plz!

Dude, you just started an MOTUC collection - that ship has sailed. ;)

You can probably afford to get another set to open. I can't speak for Canada, but it's available on Amazon (US version) for $25 shipped, and very close to that on eBay. Since I bought mine (at full price) I've watched the eBay/Amazon prices drop about $5 a month. No love for Robot Chicken.

Shin Densetsu 03-14-2012 06:18 AM

Is Man At Arms going to be reissued? He looks bad ass! All that weapon storage!

He's a top five figure for me. I'm sure he'll be up for sale again at some point.
