Truely it's not in our control. We have the least power in that matter. The idea is that Hasbro can at least persuade the big chains to carry more of them in stock as they become available AND Hasbro can jump up the production and oversight of their own products. Which indeed is what my local Hasbro store rep does! (Thankfully)

I think it's also just such a piss poor time for Marvel since all of Hasbro's bigger brands are bringing in the guns in August. Star Wars Vintage, Pursuit of Cobra, Transformers Generations, etc.

I'm sure Hasbro DOES think it's important and probably HAS talked to retailers about it before. But that's about all they can do, really.

But this notion that Hasbro can just "wave a wand" and make toys that we want appear on retail shelves for us to buy is simply ridiculous.

So they have a bunch of MU Centurions and ROTF Tuner Mudflaps on the shelves? That's Hasbro product on the shelves and displayed properly. Granted, we'd rather see Vision, Iron Spider and HA Mudflap.

OTOH, if the pegs/shelves are empty, that's another story entirely. Even then, I'm pretty sure she wouldn't be able to make that plastic grail magically appear from the back where it was being held hostage by the toy trolls.

She would do what you said above and hope for the best.

I definately do not think that any of the Arkers believes that it can be fixed instantly & we do not know if Hasbro has done much or enough.

BUT we can at least all hope that when there are new figures that every collector has a chance to find them. My current dissapointment is the last Legacy wave for Star Wars.

It seems like the MU line is at a bit of a crossroads. On the one hand, it is tremendously popular and selling well both on-line and on the shelves. On the other hand, its availability seems to be diminishing with each wave, causing frustration to the collector and common-customer alike. it seems fairly obvious that supply is not meeting current and future demand. Where does Hasbro stand in both it's marketing strategy and production frequency to address this issue?

I've noticed the shelves have been pretty bare around here too. My guess is they are prepping for the new ESB Anniversary onslaught.

Same here. At this point I consider the loss and move on. There really is not much I can do for figures that I do not want to over pay for.

Even though I dropped some cash on some ThreeA recently...Hmm.

I'm not sure if these guys could answer the question, but I definitely want answers for this:

Recently HTS.com stopped carrying individual pre-sale figures. Instead, there has been cases of the figures. Is this going to be a new trend or something you are trying out for a while?

While I agree with that I also hoped they would wave the magic wand at their Hasbro Toy Shop and make them available. The shop seems to get tiny amounts apparently as they tend to sell out in record speed and then not restock. I think I saw an MU Vision once for about 2 minutes before it sold out and hasn't been seen since. Same for Warpath, the later waves and figures like the Rhino form the 3.75" Spiderman line.

If they could fix it at HTS the collector market at least could feed the itch, Hasbro could get the $, and the scalpers could suck it up for a change.

Just my 2 cents on how Hasbro could make it "right".

I would love it if Hasbro ramped up their website into a true online store, such as Amazon, BBTS, EE or HLJ. But I can't say for certain if that idea is in their current marketing strategy (short or long term).

Based on past and current trends, I would guess not at this time.

I think a good question would be:

We've seen MU pull figures in from other Marvel lines, e.g. IM2, XMO, and Icons, in order to re-deco or even re-tool these figures for release in MU line. MU has even pulled in from Indiana Jones (Red Skull). Are there any licensing or other logistical reason (i.e. different factories) why MU would not be able to pull in G.I.Joe or StarWars figures and say turn a Storm Shadow into Fantomex or Helix into Domino for example?

Will there be a new figure poll for the yet undisclosed figures that were revealed on CTR.com? I think each of those characters needs to be released!

From the CTR Review we were told X-23 was in the works, can we get a broad eta (year at least) for when she might find release?

With the upcoming revival of Marvel Legends, and how fast MU is covering the cosmic spectrum, can we expect key characters to be covered like the assasin who killed lilandra in war of kings?

The running change on Archangel and Havok has already taken place without most stores placing the current wave on shelves. Are there any plans to make both versions available again?

I love the idea of team packs. The new one with the original Avengers is AMAZING. Must have.

I hope they get to some of the other teams as well. Gaurdians of the Galaxy...Secret Avengers...Great Lakes Avengers...ETC.

We're always gathering questions, even if it isn't time to submit them yet. We'll pick from the pool that get entered here, as long as they meet Hasbro's rules about questions (as Snow eluded to earlier).

There's a thread about how to word a given question so it fits the Hasbro criteria, but I can't locate it at the moment. The thread also let fellow Arkers help decide if the question would even be worth submitting (no way to word it right, already answered, etc.)
