fns usually way over retail, but depends on the item too, only difference they don't charge sales tax.

Scored this over the weekend, was hoping it would be on clearance but still pretty nice. The Carnage looks almost just like the new Legends one, and totally stoked on the Scorpion as well. http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...psc86f5617.jpg

^how much was that pack and where from?

Toys R Us retail price 29.99. I thought these gift packs were Walmart exclusives though cause this is the first time I've seen one of these.

JustryGT 01-06-2014 05:56 PM

cool ! Are Carnage and Scorpion both translucent (aside from painted areas) ? I would buy that set just for those 2.

Yes they are! Not fully translucent though, now I just need a comic series Doc Ock and Venom, do they even have the 2 as comic series? Another reason I got this because it said "Comic series" if it wasn't I probably would have passed on them, since I fully focus on comic MU's only.

Kmart had them on clearance for 19.99 like a month ago

There was a venom never saw a doc ock

Il Cattivo 01-06-2014 09:15 PM

there's a doc ock but i'd stay away from it. get the marvel showdown one instead.

About a month's worth of hauls. There's also an Injustice Green Lantern that had fallen over in the back that I didn't notice had toppled, lol

Decided to stop by Target on my way to work this morning when I came upon these. Luckily, I caught them while they were resetting the aisle and setting up, so I was able to get a good look at all of them fresh out of the case. For those wondering about the price point, they're retailing for $9.99 a pop at Target.

I also lucked out, finding Baron Zemo, so I decided to grab him this time around. Still no Red Skull though... :(

All in all...a better way to start the day than fresh coffee and donuts!

nice.

checked about 3 targets yesterday and still nothing *sigh*

Trivial Psychic 01-08-2014 11:44 AM

I was pretty shocked to see them myself. The only figure I opted not to pick up was Azrael...there was something about the figure that just didn't appeal to me. I also passed on the armored Batman...didn't care all that much for the metallic paints. The figures themselves are rather nice, they look pretty good in scale with other 3.75" figures, although I really dislike the fact that they come with little to nothing in the way of accessories. Not even a Batarang or grapple gun for batman, and no weapons at all for Bane (granted, he doesn't need them, but still, a submachine gun at least would have been nice.) Thankfully, I still have plenty of leftovers from my g.i.joe: poc figures. Hopefully GunRunners will be putting out some Batarangs or something in a future set.

Exodus 01-08-2014 12:22 PM

I think some Targets are being slow on resetting there toy aisle, I see a lot of stuff there trying to clearance out, but I'm sure no one's buying. Dang those IM3 and Ultimate Spider-Man stuff hogging room for the new stuff:p My Targets are like that right now.

I don't get it legends sell so well and target is always out of stock why not make more. You think Hasbro isn't trying to make a profit.

fosterlager 01-08-2014 02:53 PM

I wasn't feeling a Batman without weapons at all, even though I was very hopeful for a good DC 3.75 line. I saw him before New Year's and turned up my nose.

The majority of my local Targets are absolutely littered with nothing but "Man of Steel" stuff, most of it being those terrible super deformed toys and gyro copter thingies that didn't move when the movie was out in theatres, or anything Angry Birds. Meanwhile, the stuff that does move, the MU, ML, and even the DC collector series stuff (movie master, Batman, etc...) sits bare and empty. It just leaves me scratching my head sometimes. The majority of toys now a days are still being marketed towards kids, when collectors are actually the ones who should be targeted. Kids now a days sadly seem more interested in getting tablets and video games these days than they are a Batman action figure or Monsters High doll. It amazes me even more that retailers in general don't realize this as well. But, I guess we should be grateful that Target and Walmart still continue to carry toys at all. =/

I think part of it is that they didn't want to stock them. There was major stock of the Terrax and Arnim BAF series when they first came out, and then when it was time for the Epic and Hit Monkey series to come out, the stores were still sitting on the last 2 remnants of them, so they probably didn't want to order more of the last 2. I barely saw the last 2 at retail, and saw lot of the first 2 waves peg warming during the reboot of the Legend series, just my thoughts though.

Haha yeah those sure are a lot of kiddy toys that are peg warming, and yes they're more about video games and tablets now a days, my friend says what happened to the creativity we had back then when we were growing up? They need to clearance out the BHP Target exclusives and the Generation Voyagers as well. I think every TF collector probably has them already, even the Blaster one that was short packed back then.

You are so right. When I ask a Target rep why are your pegs empty they blame hasblo. He told me they are terrible at shipping, and sometimes they have wait weeks to get toys. Target rep told me it's hard on them to fill pegs, when they have noting to fill. He showed me an order list of back orders. I agree toys are doing down the drain they are making them cheap and no one is buying them. I have little newfew's and they hated the iron man 3 line along with superman. One of them said I don't want to build an iron man, I want it to look cool and shoot stuff. Hasbro is okay with making cheap toys and fill the pegs. As collectors we are tired of dealing with scalpers to get toys. There freaking toys not hard to make and it's sad we can't find them. Only cheap knock offs collecting dust.

I agree all I saw at any target was klaw and constrictor . I mean there was always 2 or 3 left of those guys, but the Thor iron man and so on would always sell out. I wish they would just put one of each of the characters no one cares for. I am sure the average kid didn't even know who they are and passed
