I ran into the Hydra and A.I.M agents tonight when I found Skull, but I decided to pass on them. I'm planning on building Mandroid, but I opted for Zemo and Skull only, since they have the same BAF parts, and I didn't want to sucker myself into an obligation to army build in buying the grunts. I suppose I could get the Hydra Agent just so I could have "Bob"...but then I'd need a ML Deadpool, and the red version of that guy is just a bit out of my price range LOL!

Please can you pick up aim and hydra agent I'll pay shipping and all please if you ca

The other day, I was sitting there looking over my pre-order list at BBTS (Big Bad Toy Store) and viewing the boards here, and after seeing the success everyone was having finding these in the wild, I decided to go ahead and cancel my preorder for the ML ASM2 wave, and try my luck. Three Targets later, and all that's left now is Carnage or Toxin, who I'll honestly probably just feed a scalper for since they're not too ridiculous in price. Saved me a hell of a lot of money though considering how much the set was at BBTS!

Which brings me to a question I was wondering among all of you...do you think that the prices at many third party suppliers like BBTS, ToyWiz, Toynk, etc are starting to get a bit out of hand? They're starting to get to approach the level of scalpers. I've been a loyal BBTS shopper for a long time now, but the prices on the ASM2 and the Captain America waves were pretty ridiculous, nearly twice that of retail (with little to no options to buy outside of complete sets,) and don't even get me started on ToyWiz. Their prices are insanity at times, and I've often had better luck on ebay. While the luxury of being able to pre-order is nice, and sometimes they do have some very good deals (BBTS pile of loot service is outstanding and a steal!) but I don't know, I'm pretty torn about it, and I hate feeling ripped off. Even more shameful about it all, is that this is money that Hasbro, Mattel and others is just leaving on the table due to their shady distribution practices and general lack of product. I don't know, perhaps I'm rambling. I'm just curious as to what some of you guys think...

Nice find, the only Cap Legends figs I've seen is just Cap himself, need to pick up Skull and Zemo if possible.

Amazon has been getting better at offering pre-orders for a lot of upcoming toys, though, so more and more of my stuff is being ordered through them.

And nice score! I'm on the lookout for Red Skull and Hydra Agents as well.

i always use BBTS.. i'll use ebay for older stuff that bbts doesn't have.. but for all of my online ordering i use BBTS.. their customer service is fantastic and i've never had a problem with them.

.. i NEVER buy mass released retail figures from them though.. it makes absolutely no sense to me when people do that.. unless you live in east bumbledouche, you'll almost always be able to find what you want at retail.. i don't need to pay extra just because i want something early.

and for most people there are usually several walmarts, targets, TRU's, and comic book shops where they live.. it's just a matter of going to those stores and actually looking. hell, i don't usually look in stores until like 7pm, and there hasn't been a single toy that i've missed out on, and there's never been something that's been hard to find that i hadn't seen at least twice in stores.

i imagine BBTS's prices keep rising because almost all prices are rising for stuff.. now toywiz.. they're insane and their prices are terrible.

but with BBTS, their prices for things that can't be found at typical US retail stores are rather good in my opinion.

for the transformers masterpiece cars, i've seen that robotkingdom.com sells them for considerably less than BBTS, but when i calculated shipping and what not into the equation, BBTS was only $7 more and i would only have to wait 4 days rather than 2-4 weeks. (had i done EMS shipping it would've been the same price as BBTS) so.. i figure the $7 extra was worth getting the toy a hell of a lot sooner, and the piece of mind that their customer service would remedy any problem if one had arisen.

so yeah.. for non US retail items i use BBTS.. otherwise, i can wait and find the toy in stores.

Haha this is almost a thread itself and probably shouldn't be here, but I'll leave that up to Trebs call. But my rants is I agree with all of you about the online stores, there a bit pricey then the brick and mortar stores but I'm sure they have there reasons to be, but at the same time yeah the full case assortments they charge is crazy. The Marvel stuff is a lil on the high end stuff but there TF's are a lot higher then necessary. Although the good thing about BBTS it doesn't charge sales tax which is a consideration, where as Amazon does depending where it's getting shipped too. But for sure the imports I can understand and they're reasonable, although if you hit up the AE or HLJ for them it's so much cheaper, even the shipping is a lot cheaper then RK. I'm thinking Toybiz must get a lot of there business from overseas for the prices that they charge. You have to remember only us state side folks really get a great deal on our figures, especially during sales and coupon days, where as other countries don't necessarily have that going for them. All in all to each to their own, just shop smart this year!

^She is! I'm glad I missed out on the first version and got her X-Force outfit! Everything about her from her facial designs, the coloring, the sensual pose, just everything is just enamoring.

And in my area, Legends would sell through but it usually took a couple weeks for it to happen (longer for the IM3 ones). Yet at those same Targets, the Nick TMNT area has been practically barren for most of last month.

To me, that speaks of Target's distribution system being the issue, not the individual manufacturers. Besides, Hasbro does not ship directly to individual Targets or Walmart stores. National chains like those have their own distribution centers where product is doled out to the individual stores.

Of course, if the product hasn't reached their main distribution center(s) yet....

yeah those dummies don't seem to understand what they have. That 1st wave was still up but I'd venture to bet if they had Alley & Night Vipers, Combat Ninjas & Crimson Guard troopers in ample supply, they'd easily sell out those figs.

Awesome, I had the first Psylocke and was able to flip it to get this one and had extra cash as well:) These statues actually have a great demand for them down the road. But yeah glad they did the X-Force version of her. I hope they do an X-Force Spiral!

Target here in Canada had tons of those late wave figures. They just sat on the pegs at $10.99. They moved a little but when they lowered the price to $8.49. When they cleared them out for $5.49 right before Christmas they were gone within a day or so. I check all four Targets in town and not a single Joe on the pegs except for one Budo. 3 days before I check when they were $8.49 every store had 3 full pegs, all with late wave figures. Figures in general just aren't selling as well as they used to.

Even the army builder Cobra troops?

I doubt Night Vipers would last more than a day @ most places.

And if these things wouldn't sell out, seems like Hasbro Toy Shop would have plenty for sale on line. Picked up 2 Combat Cobra Ninjas there the other day but they limit you to 2.

Ya you are lucky. It seems it takes forever for Los Angeles Targets to restock on top that a target rep told me about this one guy who waits every morning and has other family members at other targets to get the toys early. Smh.

Yup, even the army builders weren't hard to come by. The Night Viper is the only I didn't see more than once. I'm not big into Joes so passed on them several times over a month or so.

Online and in store are very different. I do agree that the inferior wave 1 wouldn't much compared to later waves since those figures aren't as nice AND they been out over a year. A figure might sell out quickly online at even double the retail price but could peg warm at retail or the LCS for the same price. Online you have access to millions of potential customers instead of thousands.

You can try calling before they open and see if they will hold what you are looking for. Might work as the store employees generally dislike scalpers unless they are buddies.

haven't seen him at retail but did on amazon. and he's not on the card art either. perhaps he was suppose to be in a second wave but got bumped to first for whatever reason.
