BAF Abomination though he's really horrid looking, probably a BAF Sandman, another spider-man, and possibly the Enchantress all released right there after. Leaving two of six to be all exclusive figures. I just feel like something is off about all this....

Maybe this is the deathknell of exclusive legends at sdcc....God i can only hope! ;)

I honestly wouldn't be opposed to that. I was reading where one of the other exclusives, I think it was Thundercats maybe?, had been changed from just an SDCC exclusive to online - at the same time the convention is going, not afterwards where we get whatever stock is left over. I wouldn't mind that so much, it would somewhat alleviate the whole scalper-fetish these sets always attract. Granted not completely but at least it would help.

But yeah if they did away with them completely, totally? I guess that'd be alright. I used to just think they were totally pass-up-able until the Thunderbolts set came out. But I think before then it always seemed to be one figure or at most one new figure.

Looks like he ages well. Like Mork from Ork.

Been saying that (thinking that) since i FIRST saw this figure. There's a fig that a touch up paint job will work wonders on.

The old TB figure looks like Hammerhead's into some Imperius Rex cosplay.

It's just weird that they're releasing several characters from this pack in regular waves right at the same time or shortly after the pack is released. They may even be promoting the single figure Enchantress and certainly the BAF Abomination at the same time they're asking people to buy the pack. It's just odd.

Maybe they're producing a smaller quantity of the exclusive pack than they normally would, like a super small production run

warmachine6 07-14-2016 02:25 PM

Very slim chance, but was wondering if anyone is selling the 6" mark 3 war-machine civil war version

KamenRiderOOO 07-14-2016 02:36 PM

Called my Walmart. They didn't have Falcon. Tried the UPC at the bottom of the box 3233rafael provided. Not in their system yet here :/

If it is true, it is odd and definitely not what we are used to. I kinda hope they would continue the trend though. I hate the idea of one-and-done characters as SDCC exclusives. (Psylocke, Power Man, Moonstone, Magik, etc.) By releasing the exclusives as repaints it kinda makes them less exclusive and more like the old Toybiz variants. You wouldn't have to worry about missing the SDCC set because you know the characters would appear again, though in a different paint scheme.

Yes, now that's what I'm talking about. Repainted exclusives. I'm totally down with that. Even if the exclusives looked somewhat cooler it would not prompt me to feel like I'm totally missing out.

Spyne98 07-14-2016 04:19 PM

I could be happy with repainted exclusives. It's a solid idea. I mean, they already said they're doing anther Dormamum. So people who missed him last year have a second shot at him. The the astral plane Dr. Strange was just a repaint of the Strange that was in the Hulkbuster wave. I don't think it would hurt overall sales either. There are people who indeed collect them all.

kenm2474 07-14-2016 06:04 PM

Should have mentioned this earlier. I stopped by Walgreens to get some Gum and a Soda and Found Namor Hidden in the Cooler so I grabbed him.

Lol. Yes I did.

Is there any reason I haven't seen anything regarding the new 12 inch cap ANYWHERE on the net?
I just got it today and find it incredibly strange there is nothing anywhere....no reviews, no videos.. nothing...

When I ordered it I expected a Titans figure because even now I can't find anyone talking about it. Normally these things are all over the web before we can even get our hands on them over here.

Trivial Psychic 07-14-2016 06:41 PM

To be fair...once upon a time, exclusives were mostly re-paints. Something changed over the years to alter this point of thinking, but I think the only good it did was just cause rifts in people's collections. Honestly, the return of the re-paint exclusive/variant is one I'd love to see happen, as it's just better for everyone all around.

A great example of this is Playmates. This year's TMNT exclusive is the Bebop trike with some chrome parts. Before that, it was the black and white Leonardo and the chromed Shredder figure. All of them were re-released at some point, allowing people to keep their collections complete for the most part without creating a hole, but still offering a nice option for the hardcore collectors who had to have them all.

NECA is the company that's has driven me insane over the years with exclusive figure releases. Thankfully they haven't been too difficult to get (although I think this year's exclusives will be impossible,) but we all know that's not the same with everyone else.

Master Mold doesn't necessarily have to be the gigantic Master Mold that makes the Sentinels. Could be the version that appeared in the late 80's and that appeared in the Konami X-Men arcade game. Personally I would rather have Nimrod as the BAF.

I'm still extremely upset at the lack of Black Bolt in my collection

warmachine6 07-15-2016 02:54 AM

i might get the inhumans when the movie comes out , maybe, not sure

Augustus_Cole 07-15-2016 04:18 AM

After reading about two reviews on here....stating that Space Venom was an okay read...and in anticipation of the new BAF's release...
I just read issues #1-4 of the series and.....
No Thank you!!...do not like..do not want.
A "purged of evil" symbiote with a leg-less Eugene "Flash" Thomson playing Space Cop...PASS!

I felt no attachment to the character...don't care for where they've taken the Symbiote's origins..

Please bring back (and i'm sure it will happen SOMEDAY) the villanous, insane, manical, Spider-man-blood thirsty, crazy symbiote we all know and love.
