Optimus Vader 03-07-2012 09:21 AM

If anyone is interested in a loose/complete Ages of Thunder Thor for $10 shipped.. pm me. I just bought him yesterday, so he's pretty fresh. This Thor isn't for me. I'm also always open to trades.

Symbiote 03-07-2012 09:23 AM

Finally got ultimate thor thanks to greenskar. I think I'm going to give him wrist swivels. I re-painted the hammer. Now I can take this ultimate awesomeness.

Tickets went on sale this past sat, 3/3/12. SDCC will be on july 11-15.
I got my 4 day pass with preview night so I'm stoked on that.

Wonder-con is next week friday-sunday in anaheim.

Optimus Vader 03-07-2012 11:13 AM

I picked these two up during lunch today. Clear Spidey will be in my sales/trade thread if anyone needs him. I didn't know the Gray Hulk was an Ultimates character, but I have all the others so figured why not one more.

man target has sooo many Mu figures right now,too bad its a bunch of revisions mixed in with the storm wave instead of storm wave and kang wave,oh well,at least everyone can get caught up on the cable wave.

cellardoor 03-07-2012 12:10 PM

Just read that David Vonner, a very influential designer at Hasbro, has lost his job. Vonner has been a big part of the Universe design line and some movie 3/34 lines. Should be intersting to see where the design of the series goes.

Didn't think to check his Facebook page too. Thanks!

"Under new management", from what I've read so far. Hasbro talked about needing "new skill sets" in their press release.

when posing him put two star wars stand on each foot..makes him look taller when its a group pic..thats what i did

Think it had to do with the Marvel Legends, From what I hear they are not selling well and Hasbro needed someone to fall on their sword. Since he pushed hard for the line , I guess he was the natural "fall guy" NO telling what this will mean for MU(One of Hasbros money makers) but knowing Hasbro they will totally screw it up.

Tarooster 03-07-2012 12:55 PM

I have a hard time believing that ML isn't selling well, they're almost impossible to find in a lot of
areas due to such high demand. I also find it hard to believe that even if they were selling poorly that they'd jump to this so quickly since the line only relaunched January, there's got to be to it than just that.

I had feeling marvel legends would fail it sucks for us mu collectors that vonner takes the fall

trebleshot 03-07-2012 01:05 PM

Rather than derail this thread any further, continuing discussion of Hasbro's layoffs and the dismissal of David Vonner can go in Tiberius' thread here:

Hasbro lays off employees.. - Toyark.com

bitman2 03-07-2012 01:07 PM

Not meeting projections, and also diverting resources away from proven money makers(ie MU) =Bad bottom line . Legends may be selling well(or not so well) but in the end Hasbro made more money selling the MU line. Notice there have not been any New MU figures this year yet.( All Hasbo production has been geared towards Legends and Avengers(another Line which really looks like it is going to tank.) Preliminary sales are awful.

shortysben 03-07-2012 01:40 PM

Whatever man, as long as the 3.75 crack keeps coming, my addiction will be satisfied

Symbiote 03-07-2012 01:47 PM

I'd wait until after may and june. By then marvel will have released the avengers movie, spiderman movie, and their cartoon release (avengers: earth's mightiest heroes , ultimate spiderman).

The figures will start selling by then regardless of what "we" collectors really think about the new avengers and spiderman line.

MGTAJ 03-07-2012 02:23 PM

Yeah, the street dates were pretty early for Summer movies IMO and, even then, I'm of the impression that quite a few retailers "broke" street date. Come Summer, we'll have seen the movies which will have made us give in and buy Avengers figures. let's just hope we have the next MU wave by then.....

Travis King 03-07-2012 03:10 PM

I hope it ships NOW! But with so many stores just getting wave 17 now for the first time, I'd say by June we will see Beta Ray Bill and Astonishing Beast.

tk421 03-07-2012 03:17 PM

For trade if anyone wants them!!
