At one location in Covina, CA I talked to one of the staff and asked him about it and he told me they were clearing out all spiderman items; that is they would not be carrying anything spiderman. I was kind of confused. Why the hell wouldn't you sell something people want? I honestly have no idea what Walmart is doing with the legends lineup. They definitely have the capacity to put out toys fast and cheap yet they won't do it so either they see no money in it or have someone incompetent running toy distribution. Target and TRU are definitely making money off of them. Not a single TRU or Target around my area has these on the pegs. They are all out. I cancelled my order with BBTS and was able to secure a set of the ASMML at another location at a cheaper cost and that already had them in stock. Not sure what is up with BBTS, maybe some distribution issues? I hope they don't crap out on the Neca ED-209...been waiting for that forever.

Yeah, my Targets and TrU are inconsistent at best, so I was hoping to pick up the Spidey Legends at Wal-Mart. It's ridiculous that Wal-Mart has decided not to carry these new Marvel Legends Infinite figures, OR the 6" Star Wars Black figures. Both lines are in such high demand, but the only way to get them is to basically hit up Target every day and snag them as they arrive :( I don't know if I should be directing my anger at Hasbro, Wal-Mart, or both, lol !

When Hasbro chose to phase out the previous Marvel Legends line for the movie-based ML Infinite series, they claimed that the point of changing their approach was so that Legends would actually become easier to find at retail, since stores were sure to stock anything related to a Marvel movie, as opposed to comic-based Marvel figures. I shoulda known not to believe them until I saw proof for myself :(

A new Walmart Supercenter opened near me yesterday and my girlfriend went to check it out and came home with Zemo, Hydra and AIM soldier. Was an awesome suprise to say the least. She said there was no sign of the spiderman figures though

Hasbrotoyshop.com had the Spiderman 2 Legends series as coming soon for a few days. I guess I missed them posting it even though I checked it daily. They're all up except Carnage and Black Cat of course. Already gone. I don't get why HTS has them at $19.99 though. Target has them in store for $14.99. Picked up Black Cat at that price point, guess I was lucky!

It's not Hasbro's fault if Walmart doesn't want to carry some of Hasbro's products. So blame Walmart for Walmart's decisions.

Yeah, I'm glad I was as well at Target. They must post them real early in the morning or something. I'm sure they'll have more in stock, the Cap Legends are still in stock though.

Well the MSRP for the line is 19.99$ I will not be surprised if Target adjusts to the 20$ price before the second shipments arrive. TRU started the lines at 15$ and 20$ and then raised the prices to 20$ and 25$.

If I didn't have to buy all of these for a second edition, this would be a pass as well. I bought this set in 1998 and the update is not that much better than the original product. Marveltoys.net - The source for Marvel figure information!

The All-New X-Men Come to Hasbro - IGN

Absolutely this.

This works out to $20+ up here! I would have hoped for a small discount on buying 5 figs at one time. Or maybe that is a discount? - Yeesh!

Just catch it with a discount coupon. I tend to do this will all expensive things from TRU.

Serious Lee 01-16-2014 09:42 PM

Thanks for the tip, I just now signed up on their email list, hopefully they send something out around the time the X-Men set hits up here

...are you high?

Not that much better? Everything is better, from the sculpts to the articulation to the paint. Like, not even close man.

Articulation only is better in my view. Since I prefer my figures not to have ankle articulation which messes with posing on the shelf in the long term, I like these less than the old one's in this regard as well. Angel's wings on the original version are much better. I prefer the look of the individualized sculpts in the originals instead of the 50% reused parts look with the new release. The paint? I don't worry about the paint, and I can hardly judge it anyway when looking at unfinished product.

I'm happy for everyone who was looking for this to fill their marvel legends shelves, because despite my preference for the old guard, they are still 5" scale and won't fit in any Marvel Legends diorama without looking odd. It's just not something I'm going to enjoy opening the pocket book for, just as I cringed buying half of the Wolverine wave a couple months back.

There are other figures that I prefer the 90's version to compared to the legends style, SS Nova over Nemesis Nova and Transformations Absorbing Man over ML Absorbing Man to name a couple.

i just want to rant about my hunt for the captain america infinite series line... im in new york and i searched every known toy store in the area and came out nada... zero. so i headed to jersey where i heard they still had stock... when i got to the walmart in Secaucus, they were selling them at $30.00 a piece!!! i was so f**king shocked. Maybe it was already due to my previous frustration with searching for this series so I complained to the staff and then to the manager at how they could sell them with such a mark up. Eventually they agreed to sell them to me at 19.99 dollars + tax. but still i was very disappointed at walmart for doing something like this.

Exodus 01-17-2014 12:10 PM

I was checking out the Target yesterday and they actually pushed the prices up on the Spider-Man legends to 19.99 now dang. Glad I found them earlier.

I'm really surprised that Walmart is selling them for that high.

Yeah it is, you might as well buy them from Ebay and have them shipped to the comfort of your home!

TyranasauROSS 01-17-2014 01:22 PM

Yup, I saw the the new Spider-Man Infinites line at Target last night for $20. It sucks. And as much as that price point stinks for people like us, I feel worse for younger kids looking to buy toys now.

I can only imagine how much figures will cost in ten years time. Or what sort of changes would have to be made to make these things more financially viable to folks.
