Love it! I really like the interchangeable heads. I did Banshee a few years ago for my 90's X-MEN display.

Augustus_Cole 07-17-2016 05:56 PM

@Symbi Spidey..nice on that head paint job for Blade...
..and IMO ..i think silver would make that sword pop instead of grey...unless it just wasn't finished..

and LOL..i think you guys mean LAND line...not LAN line...that's something else..

@Starlord...maybe you can give a little more insight as to what i'm acutally looking at..( i'm not familiar with all legends) what they were, what your doing with them, final goal is to be?... thnx..

@Anyone... have any idea what would be a good, reasonable, average price for that toys r us storm MIP ??

Sure.. I used the Wasp body because they were on clearance so I picked up several.the characters are Medusa in her Byrne inspired costume. I picked up the head from eBay for $10.Dazzler is in the blue jumpsuit. She is one of my favorites in the X-men mythos.. And Mystique is the blue red head. Ive got Black Widow that I made from a Ms. Marvel as well... She's on EBay now. I need cash for all the new legends coming out.

I think it came out pretty well for my first real, successful custom. Still need to do some touching up on the face once my detail brushes come in tomorrow. Also want to repaint the Scourge body slightly, but I'll wait until I get another Scourge figure. And I need to work on getting this guy some decent guns. But overall, I'm pretty happy with it.

Nice job! All he needs is an SMG. I'm glad you like it!

Oh geeze...good luck on this. I picked up my Storm complete for about 45 dollars back when this line first started hitting stores. Now a days, unless it's on auction, I see Storm averaging 200+ with the Jubilee BAF.

I did see a Storm with most of Jubilee complete go for about 170 this weekend on eBay, so I'd say anything below 100 would be "fair". But you might be better served at this point just making your own since you can now find the headsculpt all over the net.

Please don't hate me as I'm sure you put a lot of work into that Blade head, but I personally don't like it. I'm sure you will want to know why and it is because it looks like Blade is trying to take a dump but is constantipated. Of course, it's not like I even know how to make something like that, so I'm sorry if I offended you. :bow

Starlord67 07-17-2016 06:37 PM

Oh I like that blade head. I like the fact he shows his fangs.

I don't take it personal, different strokes for different folks lol.

But personally, I'm a huge fan of that Blade sculpt. I do wish there were more Blade head sculpts out there with a more neutral expression though.

Yeah, an SMG would really take it over the top!

Yeah, I just had a spare sword from the ToyBiz Blade lying around and gave it to him. I'm probably gonna add some metallic silver to it at some point to make it really pop.

I wouldn't take offense if you said that to me....it's a criticism of the sculpt, as opposed to the actual work of the customizer.

That said...while I think it's a little overdone, I do like that sculpt, as it's not the same stoic, straight face that Hasbro is notorious for, and it gives the character a little bit of personality, even if Blade might need to add a bit more fiber to his plasma diet. It's pretty much the same reason I keep the "crazy" Rhino head, and the half absorbed Absorbing Man head on my BAFs as opposed to the more neutral, vanilla ones, as it shows off that maniacal side of the villain, as opposed to straight laced seriousness.

Captain Nash 07-17-2016 06:58 PM

OH dear heavens. The MoHawk Toy Biz Storm. Holy Grail Batman!

Yup. I love when Hasbro goes full blown cartoon character with some of the head sculpts, like with Grim Reaper, classic Rhino and Absorbing Man. Really makes them stand out from the plenthora of "grump face" Legends
