Picked up Hawkeye/Piledriver but more importantly Shocker Toys The Maxx & Scud: The Disposable Assassin. Gonna keep Maxx carded, that's my favorite toy ever made.

Speaking of which. I wish Hasbro would do an indie line for Marvel Universe like the ToyBiz Legendary Heroes line. 1:18/3-3/4" Invincible, Maxx, Mr. Gone, Madman, Scud, etc. would be fucking awesome.

I love the Iszes...I know I'm probably not spelling that right, but they are darn cool! They would be cooler at the 1:18th scale, but still cool.

Jason Abbadon 03-10-2012 11:33 PM

Hmmm..Veronica, I can probably get a Storm if you need it- I may have seen Patriot, but it's such a lame character and fig that I block it out.
Why go with the lame mask version? He has not looked like that in at least five years...but if you headswap a Black Lightening from the DC Infinite Heroes line he should look perfect.

You have a somewhat distracting avatar, you know that?
I keep thinking of you in my mind's eye as a talking pony- with the oddly high pitched voice and everything.

This is why my dreams are so damn surreal! I blame Toyark!

At worst, we'll be fighting off parents looking for figs around the holidays.

Why do you say Kang is 2013? It seems to me that it would be this fall, with 18 dropping around June/july at the latest.

I would not be too suprised if we get all three waves this year- that would still leave a couple of unproduced, but shown- waves of figures: Professor X, Jubilee, Black Knight, Blastarr, the comic packs, the Inhumans, etc.

Search your feelings you know it to be true...

1:18 Maxx w/ Mr, Gone and like 8 Isz's would be the best boxed set ever.

EVER.

I really hope I see the Gambit/Sinister comic pack at retail. I've seen the DD/BE and WM/QS packs quite a few times already. That gives me hope that I'll se the Thanos/Warlock and Gambit/Sinister pack pop up.

Jason Abbadon 03-11-2012 12:08 AM

Hmm...a Giant-Jacket.

Heeey That's damn sharp!
He needs a dullcoat though...and I'd probably go with the same gold as his spandex for his belt- it's a bit distracting that it's a different shade of yellow.

Maybe make the winglet thingies thicker on your build- your friend's are paper thin, and they should be maybe four times as thick for that size.

FancyPants 03-11-2012 12:26 AM

I want fing fang foom.

Tiberius 03-11-2012 12:26 AM

I would of taken off that belt, if at all possible =/.

you guys didnt keep it going, ill do it

[anguished] "No! No!"

:) Best movie ever!

Jason Abbadon 03-11-2012 01:53 AM

I couldn't keep it going- I have no bottomless pit to jump down.

I got into a discussion with one of the writers of the (amazing) SW comics about how Luke survived that fall- he was distraught, in crazy pain and ten kinds of punchy...did Vader save him?

I dont know...it could go either way. I think he did- he's sure not suprised Luke is alive a few minutes later when he reaches out with the Force to Luke (Vader must have one fast shuttle to have gotten back to the executor that fast!).

I'm sure there's a website for that fetish....probably Japanese.

Personally, I'm hoping they make Terminus....they could have Garrok the Petrified Man as the 3.75" figure and you could insert him into the armor (see X-Men annual 10 for the epic throwdown by Claremont/ Art Adams).

Tarooster 03-11-2012 03:16 AM

I was able to find Yellowjacket at a Target yesterday, picked him up along with Loki from the Avengers line. They had tons of Storms and Psylockes from 17 mixed in with the Havoks, Black Widows, etc. that are back at retail lately.

I'm still debating on Ultimate Thor, I'll probably end up picking him up soon.

perrych 03-11-2012 04:51 AM

I could easily see some reshuffling of the waves or a delay in wave 18 because of the Hulk. I'm sure Hasbro wants to sell those movie Hulk figures right now. If the MU figure shows up next to it on the pegs, I imagine that the movie figure won't be sell through any time soon.

Optimus Vader 03-11-2012 06:23 AM

There was a lot of waiting for the Cable wave last year too.

I just got around to opening this guy. I appreciate this figure a lot...

You might want to just look for Legends Icons on ebay or something. Those are the sculpts all of the Giant Sized figures are based on (most are Cyclops, I think, and the Frost Giant was Thor). I know they were at all of the discount chains not too long ago, so the prices shouldn't be too high.

Not for me it doesn't.

He's happy that he has a license to do whatever he wants. Cut the guy some slack.
