Got batman at TRU today, I'll give these total heroes figs a shot.

DarthGzus33 03-02-2014 05:02 PM

Picked up Kurse at the Disney Outlet Store near Baltimore this weekend. Missed him in my initial run of the Thor TDW figs at my local TRU...

yeah.. the thor two figures sold very well in my area.. but the TRU's didn't get very many cases of them.. i assume it's because they still have so many thor 1 figures.. it's ridiculous.. they finally did a wave 1 assortment with some variety.. yet TRU decided not to order any.

pretty stupid if you ask me.. it'd have been smart to have some in stock when the DVD was released.. but, again, no. LAME.

and marvel select isn't better.. only doing thor and jane.. really? .. it's so frustrating.

Yep, I never even saw the Dark Elf in Retail. Loki was the must have for me and I'm glad I got him. At least this one wave had articulation...

I finally got the Resolute Scarlett I needed to put together a lazy custom:

yeah.. i saw all of them twice.. i didn't pick them up though.. i should've. i waited til it was released digitally to see the movie. after i saw the movie i was jonesing for the wave.. but i couldn't find them anywhere. it made me angry. hasbro finally did something right but the stores screw them over. and out of the three major stores only TRU carried them. BS.

Those Thor 1 figures have been gone for a long time here. Most stores got in Thor 2 but TRU and Walmart only a case or two at a time I think. Other than the Elf they are pretty easy to come by although I've seen a fair amount of Elves. Target is the one that ordered big. This is a store about 45 minutes away from me. I guess in Quebec no one bought these. Maybe Thor doesn't translate well to French.

This is the TRU nearby there. All last week.

the four targets and the five walmarts in my area never got a single thor 2 figure.

only the 3 TRU stores in my area got them.. and each of them only restocked once. . they were all gone before the movie even left theaters.

Not pictured is the Minicon Combiner from Generations and the Target-exclusive Beast Fire Predaking that I got on clearance for $15.

I may do that....

Most of the time I'd be happy to wait them out, but I fear there is too much demand for Rhinox and Whirl. With free shipping, I'd essentially be paying the same amount of money as I would if I bought all three from a store at normal retail.

Nice, TRU just had a sale on the TMNT for a lil under 7 was nice. Snagged up some of the Squirrelnoids for trade bait as well as Kirby the Bat. I found Target the other day that had them at 10! I was like wow, and I asked my friend how much did you pay for yours again:P 50 he said when they first came out. Def waiting on some figures is worth it.

@Iceman - I can't believe all of the Thor 2 stuff you got up there! Shame there was only one wave of the Thor 2 stuff...

@TimothyR - I only saw one case at my local TRU and that went super quick...Crazy how that stuff works.

My son (almost 4) loves it, he used his chore money and calls it "old man batman" (dark knight returns cartoon). I kinda like it, looks like he is wearing armor which is a nice change. Not as articulated as DCUC or MOTUC (no ab crunch, bicep, or thigh swivel) but a lot cheaper and tighter joints. For $10 it comes with 2 batarangs and a grapnel, durable, not bad. I stopped by Barnes and noble later, they had a DCC new 52 batman, the sculpt was very similar but it looked a lot less articulated not painted as well and it was $25. I can't wait for batman beyond.

i honestly believe it was the thor 1 figures that hurt the ordering of thor 2.. my TRU stores still have quite a few wave 1 thor 1 figures.. TRU WAY over ordered them.. then they decided to wait YEARS to clearance them. it's such a shame. and hasbro doesn't escape blame either.. the front loaded the line with thor figures rather than adding variety.. no hogan, fandrel (sp?), sif, heimdel, king loki, laufey.. i never saw them at TRU.. some of them showed up years later at 5 below.. but that's it.

now.. this time.. the toys looked good, they were articulated, there was variety in the wave, and the movie was awesome.. but stores only ordered very little of them.. so, hopefully hasbro doesn't interpret that as "articulated figures don't sell, so we'll continue producing crap, because it's cheaper if it doesn't sell well".

I'd rather spend $10 on this than $15-20 for a DCUC. And, the 4" Batman figures that cost the same price...their too MAD MAX (gritty) for me at this time. Maybe they'll get some cleaner characters that look more like what I'm familiar with. But, from what I've seen, I'm excited about Total Heroes GL, Firestorm, etc. Sadly, we probably won't get any women, like Wonder Woman.

So excited to find Captain America here in San Antonio. Had two left at the Target on 1604 and Culebra. Better that I got him for $17.99.

I also included a Storm I found for $15 at a comic book store, plus a NECA Leonardo I got there as well.

Best part is, NO STICKERS!!! Sadly though, they miscut my Scope card so its name and scan piece are missing while I have this big gray blank piece on the other side of it. Here is the blurry pic:

They had a Total Heroes Wonder Woman on display at ToyFair didn't they?
