I totally agree with you. I was a bit leery of him when I first saw pictures of the figure, and really hated the oversized hands on him initially. After finally getting my hands on him though, I was much happier than I thought I would be. The only thing that bugs me about the figure is the molded in boots....but eh...what can you do. At least it feels like they got the rest of the character right for the most part.

My girlfriend and I attended a local toy expo here in town...not a ton of new stuff to be found...but we managed to find some goodies nevertheless.

Found a General Hawk (POC) figure that I never knew existed, and picked up the mego style Freddy Krueger figure finally, having picked up the excellent Jason Voorhees one several weeks ago...
http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...212832_LLS.jpg

Meanwhile the lady picked up some loose Transformers in excellent condition, and a Toybiz Marvel Legends Loki. (Her first Toy Biz figure. =P)
http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...212648_LLS.jpg

She also grabbed a couple of Monster High Dolls. While I'm not really into fashion dolls, I do kinda dig the Wolf. There's something about the little howling noises that she makes that just seems to put a smile on my face. Really cute toy.

I was shocked to find this massive guy in someone's bargain bin at the show, buried among a bunch of junker action figures in sandwich bags. I missed out on him when the movie was out, and I've been wanting him for YEARS. He does not disappoint! The amount of poses this guy can be put in is...and pardon the pun...amazing. (And in like new condition no less!)

Found these on the way home from work last night. No Black Widow sadly, but at least I was able to get these on sale, as Target has all Captain America items on sale for 10 percent off. Snag em while you can! Now it's off to find Black Widow!

Maybe they'll get some cleaner characters that look more like what I'm familiar with. But, from what I've seen, I'm excited about Total Heroes GL, Firestorm, etc. Sadly, we probably won't get any women, like Wonder Woman.

Hmm, coulda sworn I saw a Wonder Woman in thier display at Toy fair...

I saw today that the DC Total Heroes went up to 12.99$ at TRU this week. So far I have only seen Sinestro and Green Lantern at TRU. BUT, TRU does have a tendency to raise prices on toys after they come out. I'm talking to you! Marvel Legends

Phantomcrow 03-06-2014 12:12 AM

Found some Hot Wheels at Tru on sale. I don't collect HW, but if I see one on the front of a peg that catches my eye I might grab it, like these.

http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...pse3e18f62.jpg

Also got some great loose stuff from one of my LCS this week.

NECA Masked City Hunter Predator from the TRU 2 pack with all accessories for 8$. Pretty awesome deal considering what these go for online. He was the only one I did not have because I always refused to buy any of the clear Preds from the 2 packs.

http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...pse217e969.jpg

A Warg w/ Rider from the old LOTR Toy Biz lines

http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...ps27b055fc.jpg

http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...psa156188e.jpg

And a PILE of accessories from old WWE/WWF figures. I could care less about Wrestling (not my thing) , but it is hard to beat some of the accessories they put out back in the day. They work so well for stuff in the 6 inch world.

Took a trip to a comic shop a few towns over and picked these up.

I LOVE how Diamond Select has been re-issuing many of the older Marvel Select figures. I passed on that Hulk nearly a decade ago, and have regretted it since. He's not quite as impressive as the newer Hulks from Diamond, but I'm a big fan of his Ultimate incarnation.

That Hawk is a great figure. I was just like you until I found him at a Walgreens a few months ago.

Another one of my favorites, that I will eventually give to my daughter when she's a little older. Some of his joints can be a bit of a bitch to move for me as an adult, let alone having a kid try to do it.

The Flintmobile has a variant?!

Dammit! *grumbles as he adds that to the HW hunt list*

I missed on Black Widow too - almost missed the Winter Soldier.

I had to look myself. Looks like the colors are different. The older one is more Orange and Light Tan, the new one that I got is more Brown and Grey.

Oh, he is not broken, That long staff is one solid piece of plastic, it is just bent. It is pretty soft plastic. I like the old McFarlane staff better, it extended and collapsed down. Neca just made one open and one closed as separate parts

Phantomcrow 03-06-2014 12:56 PM

Got my order from HTS today. Whirl is pretty nice, but I gotta say Double Dealer looks much better in person than in the pics.(IMO)

I just wish HTS would have Marvel Legends and Star Wars Black figures in stock on a regular basis like the TF stuff.

Phantomcrow is right. The first version had an orange top and side "rails" with a light tan interior and wheels. The newer one has a brown top and sides with a gray interior and wheels.

I think someone posted a pic of the original one in the "Look What I Just Got" thread, but I can't find it ATM. Maybe Franklin can post one in the Hot Wheels thread. ;)

Got this guy at the end of last week.

http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psa6796297.jpg

The inner box on it's own is awesome but the detail on this figure is incredible. I was anxious at first with it being Diecast, but they have outdone themselves on this. Plus you can move the legs much further than the previous Iron Men due to having flaps on the front and sides. Also the elbow joints are no longer rubber coated and are now hardened plastic. Well done Hot Toys, keep it up.

I totally hear you there...I used to be a regular customer at HTS, especially when they were still putting out Super Hero Squad figures. Seems now, they never have anything I'm looking for. I was especially disappointed that I wasn't able to pick up the last wave of G.I.Joes from there. Knowing I would never find the wave in retail, they were my last hope, but they were immediately sold out, and have never re-stocked them since. If they would keep up with their stock with all their products, I would gladly shop there over any other retailer any day.

Good Haul....I'm not a fan of Whirl, but he just looks sweet as heck. I'm iffy on Doubledealer, but mostly because of the fact that he's a retool of Blitzwing, which gave me fits at time. Just curious...does Doubledealer have any of the legacy issues that Blitzwing had, where his arms and shoulders didn't peg and hold properly in robot mode? Same for the nose cone not pegging properly when in jet mode?

THAT...is one sweet looking figure. I didn't realize he was going to be diecast, but now seeing that he is, you just got me all kinds of excited for my HT Robocop. August can't come soon enough.

She is out?! Good to know.

Can you do any comparisons with the one from the Winter Soldier 2 pack if you have it?
