Marvel Universe Avengers Initiative Marvel's Vision Unreleased in Hand | eBay

I'm debating, if this does not get released it could be the next "vision"... price wise at least.

That's the one that was revealed at SDCC this year. It should be out soon.

EDIT: From the looks of their website, everything really is $5 or below. Even the stuff that would be $10 in other places like TRU or Target is $5 or lower. That's pretty damn cool. And they do look like one of those places that have so much cool stuff pegwarming because of the fact that not many people are aware of its existence. Definitely gonna stop by sooner or later.

They have had Thor and Captain America movie figures, and the Avengers Assemble line. What they have left varies by store. Yes, $5 is the max. Figures go between $3 and $5.

Autobot_Goldbug 08-22-2015 07:02 PM

Dollar Tree is the only store that has true $1 stuff.
Family Dollar & Dollar General not so much.

Kamatayan 08-22-2015 07:50 PM

Sadly, I found nothing at Five Below today. I'm planning to stop at a different one sometime later. If I can find one with the Thor, Cap, and AA lines there that would be great.

Kamatayan 08-22-2015 08:29 PM

Found this awesome MCU Crossbones custom on Youtube.

Having trouble putting up pics but this is possibly my new quinjet. It separate into two ship and there's a small shuttle. The cockpit is desperate from the back bridge/cargo area plus the cargo area has a huge drop door.

Universe 08-22-2015 09:09 PM

That looks pretty cool, I like; what's it from?

UrsaMagnus 08-22-2015 09:12 PM

That's pretty darn cool. What line is that from?

I've seen a few people use a G.I. Joe Defiant shuttle as a Quinjet and it works pretty nice. The issue of course is finding one that's both complete and affordable. And then being willing to modify it to more closely resemble a Quinjet.

Kiddie line from Disney Miles from tomorrow land. The only problem so far has been the pilots seats up front. since its angled the 2 pilots I have up there have to sit cross legged.

I thought of getting a defiant but with a few stickers or paint this has potential to so kick ass. Plus there's other items in the line that can be used like a mech suit that turns into a car or jet.

This was 49.99 so while not cheap it is definitely complete so no worries there plus super modifyable

Pilkster's heads arrived; just wanted to show them to those who want to see them on bodies:

The packaging was superb, the quality is very good and I plan on getting more in the future. Well done, Pilkster!

I've got a quick question. Forgive me for my stupidity. I'm really new at the whole MU scene. But why exactly is Vision so expensive?

Kamatayan 08-23-2015 12:00 AM

I was surprised to find the Falcon and Hawkeye AOU 2 pack at TRU. But I didn't pick it up because Falcon looked like he had a broken arm.

Because he had a variant, and ever since the '90s variants are the way to make a toy instantly more valuable than the others. Also he's a staple Avenger so a lot of collectors got him when he was new which made him rarer than most.

What's sad is I seen both in a local Walmart and just left them there when they first came out same with the astral version of strange. Kicking myself since the target I saw strange in had like ten during his release. If I only knew I'd would have did like the old woman I saw shopping that night she took the whole damn display wall including the cardboard holders.

kylactus 08-23-2015 05:54 AM

supposedly (according to David Vonner in an interview) Vision was only shipped in the first round of his wave due to a problem at the factory in China, I don't know if that's true, But I've personally seen three cases from that wave opened with no Vision, by Vonner's estimates as I recall there could have been as few as three or four hundred that reached the US, secondly when he came out, being that he's got a very basic structural design, a lot of people used him for customs, add to that that he still holds up as probably the best paint job of the series, and the fact that he's kind of a "main" Avenger and gets so very little Toy love you have a perfect storm to run the price up.

You passed up on Astral Doctor Strange!? I wasn't even collecting back when he came out, and now he's one of the top ones I want to hunt down! Thankfully for Vision, the new one looks like he has some parts people could use for a custom.

K Dubious 08-23-2015 08:59 AM

I seriously lucked out with the strange variant. I wasn't collecting the line at the time, but was playing the shit outta Marvel vs Capcom 3 and had been reading books to opponents so much that I felt like I needed it when I saw it. Plus it was weird but I checked out in electronics and the middle aged woman said "Man I hadn't seen a clear strange yet!" Which makes me think this line had a much stronger following in it's heyday.

Yep. Long story short, supply and demand. I really do think a lot of people passed on him during the initial release tho, at least I did. Of course I was stopping by grocery stores looking for MU figures and back then they were easy to find. I didn't even know about any of these online forums or that I could order these by the case/online. I have seen some older ladies looking for MU figures just casually explaining how they are fans of certain characters like Loki. This line WAS great during its heyday. Casual fans and hardcore collectors, plus parents willing to shell out $10 or less for some cool looking characters for their kids. It'll come back around in a few years hopefully.

Those all look great! Just pretend Dugan barely avoided a bullet in a drive by.

Unless that was the bullet that killed him, thanks to Original Sin's terrible ret-con that Dugan has been dead since the 60s, and the guy we know is actually a series of LMDs. I'll keep mentioning this until I get an answer, but how did the skrulls not know he was an LMD when they kidnapped him? They needed the biological hosts alive for their doubles to work or something, but he isn't even a biological anything! It pisses me off isall. Go back about your business.

Target had so many that night and absolutely none of the regular one I figured he'd be around for a while plus not a huge strange fan. I would have just sold him off.

Universe 08-23-2015 11:09 AM

This wasn't my idea; saw it somewhere but the GIJoe 2 movie Flint head looks kinda like Paul Rudd:
