While CW Wanda's effects aren't ideal for her, I'm hoping the plan is to reuse them for Firestar and other flame wielding characters in future waves

AFU 07-20-2016 12:01 PM

Got Namor, now onto the Punisher...hopefully we see some unexpected figures at the Con...

I dont remember her name but theyd be perfect for the gal who was galactus's herald, the shinny gold bodied fire haired one.

I always found it odd that Marvel decided to call her Nova when Nova had been around for at least a few years before she became a herald. Did they run out of fun space names?

I always thought a cool name would have been Flare since Nova was taken. However Richard Rider was retired at the time. (She became Nova in late 82-early 83) I loved John Byrnes handling of her as a character both as a second torch then as Nova.

Flare would've been a pretty cool name and it's still space-themed because of solar flares.

Captain Nash 07-20-2016 12:56 PM

You know, I am surprised at how little we've gotten from the All-New-All Different Marvel era. And the upcoming...what is it? Marvel Now 2.0 or some silly (IMO) branding like that.

Now, I haven't read any of the series, but I remember seeing the promo about things like Citizen V, Red Wolf, Cho Hulk, then of course She-Thor, Ms Marvel (rumored), All new Wolverine (possibly rumored since they just call her Wolverine now), now this new Iron (wo)Man, Slapstick and Solo. I know there's probably more. The only replacements we've gotten are Miles and Falcap. It's just WEIRD. LIke it or not (and I don't for the most part), it's hot and relevant, and Hasbro has not cashed in on it yet. I can't imagine it won't be too long before we see more of this released, otherwise it's like saying Hasbro doesn't have faith enough (or Marvel doesn't f they're calling the production shots) that these characters will stick around long enough to be immortalized in plastic.

What gives. She Thor at least. She's been fairly well received.

Flare....i think thats what i shall refer to her as. I kinda wish shed come back, especially since rick rider is back as nova. Cant have enough cosmic space characters. ( Superpissed idw has rom....get it back marvel.....RIGHT NOW! Then mske a comic with nova, rom and FLARE traversing the galaxy )

It kinda almost gives the impression marvel doesnt have faith these gimmicks won't stick ( and really kinda i hope they dont except red wolf since hes like the only really NEW CHARACTER to come outta this cash grab stunt )

if they add the new stuff in , i will be only getting the original classic figures and movie figures. I grew up with the originals though good thing about all new all different marvel figures i wont buy em and save money

That's kind of what I'm hoping. That to have Hasbro put them in plastic would mean it's more than just some PC publicity stunt to check off boxes in a checklist. And I really don't think it will be, long term.

I know we've discussed this over and over I just think it's odd. Or then again, considering the ones we have gotten and are rumored to get, Ms. Marvel, Miles, FalCap and X-23Verine have all proven themselves to be marketable and generally well liked. She Thor as well and I guess that's why I'm wondering where she is.

I honestly cannot see this new Iron (wo)Man getting a figure, too much confusion given that the MCU has RDJ as Iron Man for the next 3 years presumably, and will want to continue to market him in merchandising that way.

I would really like a Citizen V though. I'm not sure they even made it into a book? But you know, classic thunderbolts Citizen V would be awesome by my standards.

This is true, but I feel it's mostly due to the sheer amount of waves hitting in the line nowadays. The nice thing about this X-Men wave is that it finally has a unique DPCI number associated with it (as opposed to continuing the Cap/Spidey numbering). The key, really, is to watch the stores with the LOWEST number of Legends figures in stock right now, and check those stores on a daily basis. A store with a dwindling supply of Cap/Spidey wave figures will likely order something new like the Juggs wave sooner rather than later.
Of course, the best method is still just buying/pre-ordering online. I've got no sympathy for retail hunters when they're bummed about not finding stuff because they've voluntarily limited their own buying options... lol.

Depends on the female character. Pretty much of every X-Woman will sell (Storm, Rogue, Jubilee). Others not so likely. Hellcat, Misty Knight, White Tiger, the various Spider-Girls from the last two years are collecting so much dust peg warming. I don't see Sharon Carter and Mockingbird moving either.

Captain Nash 07-20-2016 02:11 PM

They need to start making some more female VILLAINS. Those will sell best of all I guarantee it!

richaveli83 07-20-2016 02:12 PM

Went to the comic shop and one of the first things I saw was the movie BP. I already have him but seeing him in the wild at retail price made me get him. Went to Target to see if anything new but same old Allfather and Hellcat's but did see last year's Target exclusive box set at $18.99 each. Three figures for price of less than one figure is a steal. I can army build the Ultron's and Vision can be custom fodder. I don't know what to do with the Hulk's though.

Thank you very much for such kind words…I’m going answer this like a real king once did…”I’m just a kid from Akron, Ohio” (in this case Laredo, Texas…lol). No lottery here. See, the key is…marry a rich person…lol. No, pay off your debts and be debt free!

Wow!

She's an awesome character and it feels like it might be awhile before we get another version of her, that's why I regret never seeing that figure in the wild, but if I'm being totally honest, I frickin' hate that costume, she looks like the maitre d at a Grace Jones themed restaurant

@Thirty-two Thirty-Three

Your "magical" 'appearing Storm routine' actually made me chuckle...

@ken

my Spidey wave did come today though so..I'm at LEAST happy with that.

@Riddick

So I'm supposed to believe a video game is just gonna work in an alley next to some brick walls...with no electricity...
PFFFT!!!...my levels of disbelief cannot achieve such heights!!
Turtle playing Turtles...heh..
