you guys are inspiring to actually attempt to make a diorama. Only thing is I have no experience in making one. All I know is that it should be at 1:18 scale for the Marvel Universe line. I got foam board and I am a cad in my computer. Any ideas guys? pics of your favorite scenes? here are some themes I've been kicking around in this order on level of difficulty:
1: Marvel Knights
A: streets (Village Area)
B: Alley
C: Park battle (central, Battery, Washington Sq)
3: Danger Room
(will need help/tips on making foam board Cylindrical Shape)
4: Avengers Mansion

I searched a Papercraft Mansion and chose one at random.

Do you have the link for the Avengers Mansion?

Tarooster 03-14-2012 09:55 AM

Yeah what is a good place to get playsets or find out how to build them yourself, is there like a guide or something?

Id love to set something up similar to these great pics I see here.

shortysben 03-14-2012 10:29 AM

Want the 3.75 opinion!

So lately I just got into ml's...and already I am kinda regretting it, don't get me wrong I think thy are awesome, but one more thing to collect/worry about distribution...I have flip flopped a few times and think I'm gonna sell what I have and be done with them...

Any thoughts from a 3.75 viewpoint? I primarily collect mu, go joes are secondary, but I think I am solely Gina focus on the 3.75 line...

I'm in a similar boat. I'm a 3.75" collector at heart, but I've been picking up a Legend here and there since the return of them. I'm kind of doing a "get the Legends version of what I feel are 'all-star' characters for me" approach.

If you're not digging them I'd definitely call it quits before you get in too deep though.

shortysben 03-14-2012 11:01 AM

Shockwave I know, I know...

But the thrill was there , and I had gift cards to spend at target...went I've board, now I have a small collection I don't think I particularly want...

Next time you can use quake hold and just put some of it in the head socket. It works well as a good filler and you have mobility now.

Lol, I've been eyeing the ML stuff and I'm holding myself back from buying anything. I know it will be another expense.

@dinofreak: sweet work on the x mansion. I might have a project in the work now. Nice stuff.

Also, now I want a spirit tracker joe for ultimate hawkeye. Thanks lord marvel.

shortysben 03-14-2012 11:04 AM

Also when I go to Balt con I'll end up spending way too much on older legends...

Think I'll offer em up...

Easier to collect cause of the size and the articulation on 3.75 is more pristine IMO.

Agree with you there! I'm only getting certain X-Figures Hope and Fantomex and maybe AA.

I say go return them back at Target and get your $ back on the gift card, save the $ when the MU's come a flooding..

vampireheart 03-14-2012 11:52 AM

I dont get it people want the movies to be more like the comics and the moment they do it people complain about it. *sigh* The first appearance of The Lizard in Amazing Spider-Man #6 has this shortened snout but I like that. I might be one of the few people though that prefers this demonic style than the 90s animated style. The figure will probably suck though having limited articulation.
