this will be its undoing, i'm afraid. SM Lizard doesn't have much articulation either, but aesthetically it can't be matched.

this is it but may be too much for me as a newbie

Thanks!

Dude this is FAR OUT OF MY LEAGUE, this mansion would need a removable Top and Second floor and would be the size of my dinner table

Thanks Guys! I really liked this project.

BTW I am Planning to do a Danger Room, I hope I have some time soon.

Any Idea on how to execute it?

Any Idea on a Good Pattern for the Walls?

So lately I just got into ml's...and already I am kinda regretting it, don't get me wrong I think thy are awesome, but one more thing to collect/worry about distribution...I have flip flopped a few times and think I'm gonna sell what I have and be done with them...

Any thoughts from a 3.75 viewpoint? I primarily collect mu, go joes are secondary, but I think I am solely Gina focus on the 3.75 line...

If you're not digging them I'd definitely call it quits before you get in too deep though.

Agree with you there! I'm only getting certain X-Figures Hope and Fantomex and maybe AA.

I say go return them back at Target and get your $ back on the gift card, save the $ when the MU's come a flooding..

Totally Agree! 3.75 is a great Scale. I have been eyeing the Marvel legends for years, I loved their articulation, but Being a "GI Joe Generation Kid", there´s something about that scale. And the Dioramas are so much accessible!

I totally agree with you. I grew up as a gi joe generation kid as well and I find the 3.75 line easier to do things with. An example would be what lord marvel recently did with ultimate hawkeye. Plus the space to accommodate 3.75 is more feasible.

I might be one of the few people though that prefers this demonic style than the 90s animated style. The figure will probably suck though having limited articulation.

Please I need to humble-Up, I want to do a Danger Room out of a Box wrapped by a cool pattern that Resembles the Danger Room!

Lets wait and see if it looks any good ;)

The Mansion was made with the same principle!

Yes! He's perfect MU scale- but his articulation could be a lot better- no ball joint shoulders or hips. No waist swivel.

On the plus side, it's a great representation of the character and his outfit and axe are perfect! He's almost exactly Thanos' height but wider due to the shoulder pads.

Mine is on my workbench waiting possible bodyswap/conversion useing a Avengers Hulk or Skarr body. OnylPhionex makes a cast of that head.

Usually he's cheap to buy, and I reccomend him highly- he looks great next to Galactus!

Also, but this one instead-
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...SIN=B0009ZGJ5Q

My advice to collectors- always check Amazon first! I get all my best deals there- like the Toybix Satchsquatch for $9.00!
Amazon also covers your butt if something never shows up and their rating system is much more reliable than ebay.

this could be built using styrene sheets as interior walls and an old recycling bin as an outside frame/wall. You could make details in photoshop and apply them to the walls.

Jason Abbadon 03-14-2012 02:16 PM

Make four 11x17 panels on computer- various programs are good for this, but I use Illustrator and Photoshop then print them at kinkos (now Fedex Office).
Use anything from sheet PVC to cardboard for support.

For the control room, I'd look at lots on ebay- see if someone has parts from a Star Wars Death Star or GI Joe base or terrordrome for control panels and chairs.

Also- check the various Heroclix sites- they made a Danger Room map for their minis which might be scanned and modified to scale.

AND Google Images "photo textures" and see if there's not one for brushed stee (there is and they look great, I just checked) l- I used downloded textures printed on cardstock or the ground and background in my Kree Badasses thread, and I'm sure you'd fiind something.
Check for stuff like "sci fi textures" to modify-
http://www.google.com/search?um=1&hl...textures&btnG=

Remember that the danger Room is sorta a holodeck so you can put anything in it.
Have all your figs huddled around a 1:18th scale desktop computer with Toyark on the scareen!

I paid $60 for MOKOK and the BAF Sentinel from my LCS- if anything, I'd have paid more for MODOK- he's freakin perfect for MU and a great damn sculpt- every detail comic-perfect.

Does every body like the M.O.D.O.K., well Scalewise...

I love the sculpt and I have It but I feel it is TOO Big for MU...

I have seen repaints of the 1995 ToyBiz and I like this scale a lot more...

http://www.figurerealm.com/userimage...00/35277-4.jpg

Is this a scale misperception?

vampireheart 03-14-2012 05:43 PM

The Marvel Universe Handbook lists MODOK at 12 feet tall 750lbs, a 6" figure would be just about that height.

The best scale reference for MODOK is Iron Man #205- he'd been killed by the Serpent Society and AIM had his restored corpse attached to a machine built into a wall- there's a perfect forward facing shot of him with two AIM goons working on him and it's a perfect match for the BAF to the MU AIM soldier.

Later that issue, AIM remote controlls MODOK to fight Iron Man (epic fight too!) and the scaling holds there aganst the Silver Centurian fig.

So yeah- he's perfect for classic MODOK...but if you want to make the current body version (from the Red Hulk series, which is excelent, BTW), get the IM toy line version and add legs and soup-up the guns on the sides of his head- that also looks very true scalewise to the comics!

BTW Dinofreak, here's an amazing site to get texture pics for your Danger Room!

been meaning to pick up an old toybiz modok to repaint for the same purpose. buddy of mine got a BAF modok for his aim guys and it works just as well in person. i think i just like the idea of his body roughly being normal man sized and his head being mutated. so the old iron man line one would be my preference.
