I'm kinda disappointed, i was hoping for a exciting spidey wave to be available by the end of the year like usual.

Honestly, dude...it takes so much time, energy, and resources to put out nine waves (or whatever the number is) that you can't possibly pull it off in the same manner that you have in the past without significantly increasing expenditures and staff. Marketing, quality control, and strategic planning can all be expected to take a hit in this current scenario.

i guess we need to wait and see what else may or may not pop out come tomorrow and closer to the weekend.

Well, based on early reports of the Abomination wave, gummy plastic is back. Add to that the fact that many seemed a little less than enthused about the SDCC set, as a whole, and you get the feeling that there actually can be too much of a good thing.

Maybe...do you want yours 'gummy,' or 'rehashed?'

Depends on the female character. Pretty much of every X-Woman will sell (Storm, Rogue, Jubilee). Others not so likely. Hellcat, Misty Knight, White Tiger, the various Spider-Girls from the last two years are collecting so much dust peg warming. I don't see Sharon Carter and Mockingbird moving either.

The same applies to male characters but no one uses it as an argument for less of them.

Agreed.

well considered i never had the first one, and i don't want gummy joints i guess a rehash, or repaint of the pizza spidey or whichever would be fine by me. i just need one and prefer to get a new one rather then spend money on one of the older versions.

Anyone else ready for the fan-poll??? Kinda nervous/excited to see who is on it.

Reminder for those who forgot:

Nabbed a bunch of those 3-packs on the cheap way back when they were in stores still. The Vision in the set is a great Silver Surfer base...

Spyne98 07-21-2016 07:28 AM

I hope Hasbro has more in store for us. The Dr Strange wave was a little underwhelming to me

Given that it was only Preview Night, and the Marvel Legends panel isn't even until Saturday, I'd say that Hasbro probably has more in store.

Just call it a hunch :D

Hell, this isn't even the whole Dr. Strange wave, based on what had been rumored/leaked previously. The Brother Voodoo redeco is a surprise, and gives me more hope for an individually-released Enchantress.

Voting has began and i already know who has won...

No joke. Who made that call, pitting Solo against Songbird? I'm surprised he netted 7 votes out of the 45 thus far XD

That makes me wonder if one could swap out Namor's swimming hands (or Speed Demon's running hands) onto that Vision for some alternate surfing poses.

Edit: whoopsie-doodle, double post XD

the dr strange figure was literally the same one that came out in the hulkbuster wave.... only difference was a cape and the magic hoops were a different color.

as for the characters we could vote for today, i feel they're both weak ideas for the next figure....

VonPooten 07-21-2016 08:12 AM

O-O We need a Songbird figure.

We've been needing a Thunderbolts line-up for years, so this would get us that one step closer...

I don't even know who those two are, but there is no poll to vote either.

Voting is done by commenting with one of the hashtags, and final polling will be on their Facebook page at the end of the convention

if you got facebook checkout toyarks page omg !!!

VonPooten 07-21-2016 08:30 AM

Edit: Oh MAN. Never thought I'd consider replacing Toy Biz's Green Goblin, but that looks nice.

Mordo and movie Strange look great, and Kamala looks INCREDIBLE. Hopefully she'll have an alternate, happy face.

Songbird is a founding member of the Thunderbolts, a team of "heroes" brought together by Citizen V, who are secretly the Masters of Evil in disguise (with V being Baron Zemo).

Songbird has, pretty much, been one of the most famous members of the team since the late 90's, and is currently appearing in New Avengers. She's like a mix between Green Lantern and Banshee, power wise, fashioning solid objects out of sound.

Solo I don't know, but he's currently in Deadpool's Mercs for Money comic.
