You may indeed. I get all the disappointment that it's not 80s/outback Dazzler, but the very fact that Hasbro decided to go with Disco Dazz AND get all the details right is phenomenal. I love 80s Dazz, but no version will top this Ali in my opinion.

And hey, we've got almost all of Secret Wars A-Force done (though we can always use a new Jen, right Hasbro?) Just need a wide-release Medusa with more voluminous hair, and a Singularity.

I have to wonder if Dazzler's roller-skates will be removable. Dc Collectibles did something similar with a Harley Quinn with removable skates that plugged into the foot holes.

Nah. I'd actually love Phyla.

Anyone have any thoughts of which body or "buck" theyre using for black costume spider-man and spider UK ? Black costume looks like it might the current miles morales/ultimate spidey coming out very soon and spider UK looks like something new.

Yes please. Phyla, and a Moondragon to go along with her.

On a side note, is it really worth the time and effort people going through to denote certain characters as the 'real' version or 'fake/pretenders' or whatever? I get that everybody has their preferences, I really do. I do too; I like certain characters in certain roles over other characters in those roles. But just because I like Wally West as The Flash, does that make him any more, or less, of The Flash than Jay Garrick or Barry Allen?

If you want to denote which version of a character you're talking about, then just say which version. Saying things like 'the real Wolverine' when talking about Logan, or denoting Sam Alexander as not really being Nova just because he's not Richard Rider, or the Quasar example that got me on this tangent, it just makes you look bad, like you're snubbing anyone who likes a different version. It's almost a variation on the 'No True Scotsman' fallacy.

Fairly certain that Symbiote Spidey is using the Pizza Spidey buck, but current opinion is that, yes, Spidey UK is a new one entirely.

Spidey UK is definitely new, at least the lower torso. Those wrinkles on the clothing don't look like anything we've seen before.

SymbiSpidey (yes I said it lol) looks like standard Pizza Spidey, which makes sense.

hasbroherofan 07-21-2016 03:00 PM

I'm a big fan of pizza Spidey so I don't mind that in this case.

Congrats!

ariellagunas 07-21-2016 03:16 PM

Been following all the news of SDCC on my mobile. Got home from work, and I found that Dazzler is the first reveal of the next X-men series.
My thoughts:
One- the rumours are true, so Polaris and Sunfire are sure fire.
Two-Dazzler is from the Claremont/Byrne era.
Three- ITS DISCO DAZZLER!!
ShutTheFrontDoor!!!

Never in a million years , though it would happen. And to me, the most unlikely the better.
Yeah, I know, Blue Dazzler is cool too. I get it. But get this: I am old. And those Phoenix Saga comics were my first X-men comics. And still bloody classics.
Hasbro is rocking-it. Have not been this happy since the Medusa figure. And then Hellcat and Misty. And soon Polaris. Give me Monica Rambeau and Jocasta and I'm happy as Larry.

OK, I might get a tad excited also for classic Alpha Flight and New Mutants too, but I'll take what I can get.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Falcon-cap, Namor, and Batroc The Leaper; but honestly, we get more male than female marvel heroes. So rare females will always get my utmost vote, just for the rarity of them.

PD: to those that request BAF pieces, I will ship them tomorrow, as my job is easing up for summer, so I have 5 minutes to pop to the post office. It's all ready. Hope you enjoy them.

@raf Nice! Unfortunately Psylocke hasn't held up well, but she's still a good figure.

Wholeheartedly agree. It isn't clever to belittle legacy characters, a concept which has existed within Marvel and DC comics for decades. Whether Marvel is currently creating an influx of diverse legacy heroes or not, it doesn't change the fact that a younger protégé stepping up to helm the mantle is a tried and true technique of superhero comics.

Like Bucky as Cap? Sam? Danielle Cage? You could just be a fan of Steve, that's fine, but it is possible to enjoy multiple versions, and it doesn't make you less of a fan to like newer iterations.

I know his comment was lost in the SDCC mania, but huge amount of respect to DarkToyLord, who didn't think much of Kamala but gave her a go and now at least appreciates her.

Hahaha! You make me crack up. Good for you. But really, do you think, because, maybe we haven't post our collection photos, that we don't have all that? And trust me, what I don't have anymore, is because I sold it to have exotic holydays, and also because they were crap figures.
Plus, each to their own, but I open all my figures, I have 11 cabinets all over the house, and have them popping out, ready for action, and playing with (which I like), so my guest can appreciate but not be overwhelmed.
I also collect many different other toys, which makes for even more fun. I also collect paintings, statues and plants, specially rare cacti.

I'm being tongue in cheek, since you are cheeky. Love your collection. It's great. Thou I have zero interest for a million Deadpools and Iron Mans. A classic, or two, 3D interpretation does it for me. But I enjoy looking at your photos, to reassure me why I got rid of so many of them.
A treasure is only a treasure when is gold.

BTW, please tell me you have Dragon Man, or I would be utterly disappointed.

Keep up the good work, you bring a smile to my face. Thou knowingly.

Oh ok cool, quick question though...And you are??? LMAO

Rookies...

hasbroherofan 07-21-2016 03:48 PM

Seeing that collection made me realize how bad I want a classic Sunfire in the X-Men wave.

I don't dislike them but I would like alternate arms.

Dang nice...I bet that Dazzler will be scalped like crazy, good thing she'll be in the X-Men case so I'll just go ahead and buy it when it hits for pre order :P

I actually didn't like those packaging even though I wasn't collecting back then, only if it was a character I really liked...I do like the new box art currently.

Thanks, guys! She's been missing an arm for way too long. When I posted pics of her, I always had to angle her to hide it!:p

@Raf. Excellent Haul bro. Love it!!!
@Redfox. Congrats!!! She completes my 90's X-men.
