Toy Swap Meets? In comic stores and what-not? I've never heard of an event like that for toys besides Beyblades and some girls toy.

Kamatayan 09-08-2015 12:38 PM

I don't know about you guys but when I see him on clearance I'll grab as many as I can afford. I'm not taking any risks with this guy.

Comic conventions, toys shows, local swap meets etc. Check out your LCS and or game/toy stores and search on your local craigslist.

Kamatayan 09-08-2015 04:54 PM

Hey guys. I came across this on eBay. If you guys are interested in the cosmic characters and you don't have any of them then buying this lot would be a good way to kill a bunch of birds with one stone.

Might be just me but that seems steep for those figures. But hey if ya need em get em!

Universe 09-08-2015 06:59 PM

I happily present my final Crossbones kitbash:

I'm kind of torn on what vest to use; his back is a little bulbous, so GIJoe vests just won't fit unless cut like the one he's currently equipped with in the pics. Any advice would be appreciated!

Psycho Pirate 09-08-2015 07:14 PM

Heat the vest to make it pliable, then put it on and strap it down with strong rubber bands. When it cools into place, the vest should fit the shape of his back better.

Universe 09-08-2015 07:24 PM

Excellent advice, thank you Psycho Pirate!

Guile was my guy in World Warrior; then Vega in Champions. Nice figure man. What line is that from?

I could be wrong but it looks like the Revoltech Street Fighter Online version.

EDIT: Confirmed by the Japanese compatibility thread.

K Dubious 09-08-2015 08:22 PM

Exactly! I really like everything about it, articulation done in ways I have never seen before.

Also when I took that pic it mad me realize I am missing the bright red version....something else to keep an eye out for

UrsaMagnus 09-08-2015 08:45 PM

With huge thanks to Pilkster, I was able to make the following happen today:

(Please forgive my shoddy paintwork. Have I mentioned I detest yellow?)
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ps6a8q6oqx.jpg

Also, I now have four complete teams of the FF in four different outfits...

Universe 09-08-2015 09:31 PM

UrsaMagnus, nice job! I can't even fathom trying to paint symbols and faces at my skill level.

Thanks for the answer on that Guile, Ninjister. :)

Here's a few more with the original Crossbones vest (don't mind the rubber band):

Yellow is the worst color to paint.

Pilkster 09-08-2015 11:35 PM

You have done a really great job on painting that head dude. I would never have thought to use that head for her. I will have to do the same and alter my Snowbird head. Still need to see your Maria Hill head put to good use ;)

True. It is also unfortunate that both male and female yellow bucks (Firestar and Sentry) are so expensive.

What figure is that on the right? I always forget his name but I always think he looks cool so I want to get him. I remember he was from the Cap First Avenger comic toyline.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found him. If anyone else is interested in him his name is Red Guardian.

Kamatayan 09-09-2015 03:11 AM

I found this awesome Red Ghost custom that comes with the super apes on eBay.

Gathered some photos from @Universe's Photobucket. I now really need that Walgreens exclsuive Eric O' Grady Ant-Man. Seriously Universe, you make fantastic shots. Every single one of them is just awesome. The first one with Ares and Blade (I think that's Blade) is so badass.

@Universe, can I see some pics of Eric next to Goliath?

Thank you for those comments, gentleman!

Thank you Kamatayan; yes that Black Ant figure is super poseable and uses the new Spiderman buck. I'm not a Legends guy, but if they can be used in scale for MU, I will snag them. I seriously love my expensive hobby and thank you for the uplifting encouragement; more to come!!!

@Kamatayan yes, I can do that for you no problem.
