I read that as Kirby dolls and was wondering where they were.

Thanks, Kamatayan! Let me try it out!https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/--...636/15%2B-%2B3

I'll post some pics after it's done!

MUfan97 09-11-2015 01:17 PM

My Ant Man custom is finished now. There are things that bother me, but I'm satisfied for now.https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-4...636/15%2B-%2B1

You did pretty good for your first custom!

Kamatayan 09-11-2015 01:51 PM

Quick question guys. Are the Giant Man Skrull, Frost Giant, Bill Foster, and all of the Goliath figures 6"? I'm so confused with their heights now. I'm getting O' Grady and Giant Man soon and I wanna know if they will be around the same height with all of those big guys listed above.

They were like a foot tall.

The Goliath is from the Ant Man SDCC boxset. It was the Legends figure that was in there.

Also, thanks!

Thanks for telling me. I was about to buy the new ML O' Grady and Giant Man thinking they would scale well with any future Greatest Battles figures I would get. Would you guys still recommend getting those two ML figures?

Definitely I'd recommend legends Giant Man, he's not as big as the character usually gets but he still looks great among MU.

That MCU Cap head is so spot on it's crazy! Also, the Fury in that image reminds me that I still have it somewhere in the million boxes in my basement. The coat, head, and body have all been separated.

Kamatayan 09-11-2015 03:10 PM

I tracked down the author of the Quasar custom. He's on the Ark and MU Collector's Club. His name is @Phantasm88 on both sites. He's inactive on here and the last time he's been active on the collector's club was 8/3/15. I also managed to find some more of his customs.

I can't put my finger on what body he used for the Mandarin custom. It's in the back of my head but I can't put my finger on it.

Universe 09-11-2015 03:39 PM

Looks like the LOTR Ganondorf body.
Love coming to this thread full of awesome photos and customs! Amazing stuff people

Kamatayan 09-11-2015 03:51 PM

I just won the whole MOC Masters of Evil set for $66! Would you consider it a good price for the pack? All of the other one's on eBay were at $150-ish. Also, should I open it? I'm thinking of opening it but doing it carefully so that I can always put it back in the box.

It's the Hobbit Gandalf. I just remembered.

Universe 09-11-2015 03:58 PM

Oops; Ganondorf is legend of Zelda, I meant Gandalf :P

$66 is a steal considering its $50 retail and it's been out since SDCC 2012. Nice snag!

Edit: I've had mine for ages on MOC and just can't bring myself to open it :(

I think most retailers (like Walmart) simply rent shelf space to manufacturers like Hasbro (that's why you can catch your local Hasbro rep rearranging the displays). all they have to do is return damaged merchandise to the manufacturer and not bother dealing with it. I remember a scam in the 90's where people would buy a chainsaw, take it out of it's case, replace it with a brick and return the brick filled case for cash, then sell the chainsaw elsewhere for pure profit. the manufacturer complained and told Walmart they needed to have there employees check the returns, Wally said FU and quit carrying there brand. that's why so many larger items now have a tag inside telling the purchaser DO NOT RETURN TO PLACE OF PURCHASE, with an info number.

I saw a few legends giantman figures without the baf ultron (the one with the face that looks like he is gonna cry) and wanted to see if I could buy one at a discount. The employee called the manager and he took them back and said he would have to do an investigation... It was odd and reminded me why I never go to walmart.

Yeah he probably went into the security video office to check if you were the one took out the piece.
I got a Transformer Alternator once at a discount because it was missing the gun. The manager knew it was already stolen before I got there. Plus I mailed it back to Hasbro & they sent me a brand new one with all the parts.
