Was walking towards the K-Mart toy aisles when I saw this sucker sitting amongst some random clearance items and bouncy balls a few feet away from the endcaps. Walked past him at first, thinking he was $50-$60. Found the Constructbots Grimlock and had him in my hand for a while, but comparing those two beasts side-to-side just didn't end well for Grimmy. To my surprise Godzilla rang up as $32.99, so I very well could have gotten Grimlock too. Oh well, there's always next time.

So, is the Godzilla worth it? I want the 1970s Shogun Warrior one because he's STURDY, and this one looks fragile. I hope I'm wrong.

I got the Spider-Man at Gordman's a while back. I'd love to get that X-Men to go up with it.

I picked him up expecting to pay at least $50 for it, so for the thirty-three bucks I paid he is definitely worth it. He's made of the softer type of plastic that you can kind of squish with your hand, just like an old Godzilla toy I used to have when I was five. The paint apps are pretty simplistic but he looks okay. It doesn't feel fragile at all to me (aside from the squishiness, which I don't personally mind) and I doubt he'll fall apart. Hell, I think he'd be perfectly fine even if I hurled him down the stairs - it's not like there's even that much paint that could possibly be scratched off!

I will say that there are some needless cutouts near his crotch as if a speaker would be mounted inside, but there aren't any sound effects. If I was going to make any modifications to it, it'd be to fill those in and then paint the fins on his back a nice dark grey or even maybe a silver. Don't think I'll be doing any of that, though, 'cause he looks good enough as-is.

He takes up a lot of space, though. My Transformers collection is currently displaced because Godzilla takes up the whole top of my 3-shelf bookcase on his own. I also can't help but think about getting one of those 18" Pacific Rim Jaegers to display him with...

I prefer the old Max Steel, much more articulation from what I've seen and I was able to jack my sister's barbie vehicles a lot of the time xD
How does he stack up to the old Max in your opinion though?

Nice Transformers btw! I've been thinking about starting on them, mainly dino/beast bots to go with my old Cheetor but my wallet can't handle much of anything besides my Black Series addiction at the moment haha
