Nice, still not sure if I should get spidey, I got Tobey SM2 and at one point I thought it might be cool to get Andrew SM and pair them against each other....but not so sure.

You should. It's a great looking figure. This legends line got me into having a loose collection. They just look so darn good

Get him, he's a good figure, he will be a peg warmer eventually same with superior spiderman as they're 2/case. If I seen them go on clearance I would buy extra in a heart beat for custom/moc/trade bait.
I got 1, but haven't opened him yet. I also own the Garfield head spidey figure and he's decent comes with the backpack and skateboard, and alt head, kind of pricey on ebay, but nice figure.

The new spidey/cap lines are awesome and Hasbro is finally take a step back in the right direction. Especially with including Black Widow, Black Cat, army builders, my only gripe other then price point is case distribution. Putting the figure collectors crave with limited runs and the shitty reused figures getting doubles/case annoys me. It forces a lot of collectors to go online vs retail stores, and buy figures we don't need, just to be guaranteed to get the ones we want. If they did a revision wave of 8 figures 2 black cats/2 carnages, 2 spidey/ 2 superior spidey. Then 2 aim/ 2 hydra, 2 widow, 2 winter soldier. Collectors would buy the fuck out of it online and retail would be constant restock for army builders. ATM I have Black Cat,Electro, spidey and Marvel Now Cap chillin in the package. I need more display area before I open them. I have the feeling until I get some detolf's I'll be keeping most of my new purchases MOC.

I've never been one to keep anything in cases, I did look at the Garfield sm but I had to make a decision due to both pricing and bugetary constrain.
If I do see Garfield SM at target I'll snatch him since I can get him at a 15% discount.

Oh, I wasn't aware that both SM were two per case/peg warmers. I've always thought that Superior would be a hard one to get seeing how new he is both a character & now a figure and would be a collectors needle in the haystack.

I agree, I like how the black cat looks and her articulation, although i would like to see waist movement like many of the male counterparts. Although I can't see why odd the spidey figure tiger only one with double shoulder joints and not the rest of the Legends line...

How many is enough for an army build? So far I've managed to
Get 3 aim and 3 hydra for my army

Is there ever enough? Lol The more the merrier I always say. I have 5 of the first HYDRA dudes, but will probably want more of these new ones (I have 2 so far), but like BehindTheMask said $26.99 at TRU's up here, so Target will make them hard to come by.

I like to have a lot of army builders for piled up bodies around Ironman or Daredevil (like it was no contest lol)

decepticon_mark 01-25-2014 12:54 PM

You guys and your army building...you make me so jealous..lol. no seriously I have about given up on finding any AIM or Hydra goons. My area stocked Cap legends twice. Once at Target and once at a new Walmart. I've only been able to secure Marvel Now Cap and Zemo. Never seen either goon or even Skull. I fear if I don't find em soon they won't be in second wave. I'm not greedy I just want three of each but alas....

Serious Lee 01-25-2014 01:22 PM

I hope the case assortment has the goons for the Cap wave pt. 2, but I think Hasbro will be trying to move as much product as possible in the hope that we're army building the Mandroids. By that I mean, no AIM and no HYDRA.

If only because it would make sense and they would sell like crazy should there be army builders, it isn't what I'm expecting. Maybe these new waves of ML will sell so well that we'll see a second run, I won't begin to say that I understand how it would work and how good sales would need to be, but anything is possible

ultraman zoffy 01-25-2014 07:49 PM

Honestly, the whole "rebrand" strategy of tying everything to the movies and Avengers to make the figures easier to buy at stores is pretty fail so far...

Ya!! Where in the heck is this Jubilee wave?! I want Tiger Shark and the rest of those figs in my collection! I sure hope it's addressed at Toyfair, it would truly be a shame if we couldn't get them.

I agree with ultraman, every wave being tied to the movies is going to keep us from getting a lot of new and classic villains because Hasbro will have nowhere to put them.

Where's Blastaar been hiding for the last decade anyway?

Morzilla 01-26-2014 02:17 PM

Target in midtown has superior and firefly!!!

Probably dead.

And if the format stays true with the infinite lines, we're going to get plenty of classic characters. There's two movie figures in the spider-man line compared to 8 classic figures including the goblin and the cap series has three movie figures to six non movie. The shame is that they didn't get it figured out in time as a viable strategy in time to have a Thor series.

Blastarr could be a BAF for a future Guardians of the Galaxy series. So these 'movie' lines which are really just pseudo movie lines to trick the retailers into stocking them have plenty of opportunity to put in classic figures.

BAD MOON 01-26-2014 05:48 PM

I am hoping they find a way to release Sentry, white costume Phoenix, and Marvel Now! Thor. Those are my three biggest wants from the in-limbo figs.

Awwhhh shucks, it's nothing really. Since we're a small community we tend to look out for one another in various ways, from advice to letting us know of retail insight into figures, packs, etal, or by finding a figure for some one else!

I'm actually surprised that they are sold out where your at, but I can relate, the east coast or the south for that matter didn't get the second wave of ML figures that show cased DP, DD, Punisher, Blade, Us Agent, etc., instead we got sucked right into the hit monkey series.

I was in luck to find that bbts had punisher w/red emblem on clearance but mo other figure from that wave.

Exodus 01-27-2014 10:28 AM

I found a ML Baron Zemo I snagged 25 shipped pm if you need him.

Serious Lee 01-27-2014 05:26 PM

Am I mistaken, or did BBTS drop the price for the preorder on cases of the second wave of the Spidey Infinite line? I'm thinking of getting the case of 8, maybe there will be a few people willing to trade for some extra Spidermen. They're asking $160 for a case of 8 figs and I don't think that's too bad, even when I'll be paying a bit more to pick it up at the border, because I can't guarantee retail and my LCS has me over a barrel (even though I'll pick up the variants from him for trade).

Keep your eyes peeled ladies and gents, I'll be posting a bunch of ML's old and new in the BST thread pretty soon!

Thanks to Behindthemask and ProfessorHov for telling me that I should get Garfield SM, didn't think it would look good next to Tobby, but I guess I was wrong. One thing I noticed about this new wave (or may be it's just this figure) is the hole in the heel for a peg, not deep enough for any stands except for the ones that came with the second ML wave, the one with Punisher, US Agent, etc. Kind of sucks cuz I won't be able to use any other stands that I have to take good pictures in some hard poses.

So am I the only one having bad luck with eyes on every marvel now captain america, basically most legends. I love this figures but this problem makes me go nuts. I've passed up so many figures due to bad paint apps.

Nope, all of the ww2 caps I've seen have a serious eye problem, but the way distribution is going I rather not be extremely picky.

ultraman zoffy 01-28-2014 11:29 AM

Took a pic of my main 6-inch Marvel display after some recent additions. Focusing more on the recent releases and customs in the display now after bagging and storing a ton of my Legends collection due to space issues.
On a semi-related note... just cancelled my All-New X-Men preorder with TRU. I got it at the $120 price point, but after staring at the images, I just couldn't get over the price, and I decided to make my own customs of the team with recipes I'd actually be satisfied with (at less than half the cost of the set, I might add... lol). I want the team to look more like teenagers, and the base bodies Hasbro chose for the set were all wrong for that.

A really great collection and a great set up to boot, my favourite part is the 'hot chick' section!
