Well good for you. That is NOT the case for most of us.

Drawing for Platinum Abyss is live, click the pic to enter. Good luck to anyone going for it!

I've only entered twice, for SDCC Knightfall Bats and Super Powers Freeze. If I had to pick one I'm glad I got the latter, even if the former would've been nice.

EvilMonkeyPope 10-10-2023 04:23 AM

The repaint makes Abyss resemble Taskmaster.

oh please Walmart are the ones who have no clue how to handle exclusive toys. Target actually gives you a chance and multiple ones at that if and when they restock.

I agree. Walmart is the absolute worst. I’m not defending Target, but at least, you get a fighting chance with figures at Target. Walmart? They seem to avoid good action figures like they’re lepers.

Case in point. Black Lightning and Vamp Hal are being found in stores. They are both still not on/purchasable on Walmart's website.

Ho ho ho!

Got my Bat Santas today and did the part swap I talked about. It was pretty easy, only needed hot water. The caps were even separate parts so just needed to be peeled off after heating and glued back down. I'm undecided on painting the symbols to match.

Unfortunately, the coat was glued between the shoulder blades, and the hot water wasn't enough to overcome the ridiculously excessive amount of glue that was in there (it had even crept down inside the chest cavity) so the coats are... less than pristine now... :(

Considering that one of the caps was barely held on to the head, your mileage will vary on how much glue they throw on there and how easy it'll be to remove the coat.

They can't really hold the present sacks, but it makes for a nicely themed stool to have Bats sit on. :D

My nearest Walmart never EVER stocks DC Multiverse figures. Ever. The last time I’ve seen the DC Multiverse figures in my nearest Walmart is Gal Gadot Wonder Woman (the one with logs for legs) from 2 years ago. So two years, zero DC Multiverse figures. How the hell do I get my store to stock them again? They don’t even allow me to order to have them deliver to that store, and I’d be forced to I have to pay online, but I prefer to pay in cash.

Looking good. I got mine too, haven't cracked yet. Also got my Joker interrogation room set. But while I was setting up to photograph, my strobe stand tipped over and exploded the bulb and modeling bulb like a shrapnel bomb in my room. That kinda took the "ooh fun" outta it and it's now in a tub for later hehe.

Couple of questions about McFarlane's toy store

1. How fast do they ship after orders are placed?
2. How well packaged are items?

Tony_Bacala 10-11-2023 04:10 PM

Seems pretty quick to me, but everything I've ordered has been their exclusives and pre-orders, so hard to judge timing. Packing has been good so far, no damaged items for me.

Raine24 10-11-2023 04:56 PM

I usually do preorders from there so can't speak to shipping times, but the packing is excellent. Both those Bat Santas, the Batman 6-packs, and the last Super Powers wave came in their individual shipping boxes inside the main box.

Answer to both. Chaotically.

Still least expensive compared to others. I find it funny that they are usually the least pricey for new products than any online seller. But becuase sites don't get paid by them for giving links to the site they won't advertise them as a place to buy when there are new figures dropped. Unless the only way to get the drop is to buy directly for Mcfarlanestoysstore..I get it..gotta pay for hosting somehow. But its still funny.

jwyss234 10-11-2023 11:42 PM

Several Targets in my area received a restock of the wave with Knightfall Batman as well as a few other DCM figures. Keep an eye on your local store(s) if you are still looking for KF Batman.

ThorOdinson123 10-13-2023 04:55 PM

Walmart links for Vamp Hal and Black Lightning.

Vamp Hal is out of stock and Black Lightning's link only works if not logged in at least for me

Vamp Hal's Link https://www.walmart.com/ip/7-DC-GOLD...bel/2815471163

Black Lightning https://www.walmart.com/ip/7-DC-GOLD...5?from=/search

hasbroherofan 10-13-2023 05:26 PM

Abyss before Starfire, Hawkgirl, Zatanna or Black Canary is still absolutely hilarious.

At least Black Lightning looks cool.

jayvee 10-13-2023 06:54 PM

Return trip to WalMart. They still have a load of Vampire Hal and Black Lightning. In the clearance section, more McToys including SP Batwing (no Supermobile) and lots of DC Multiverse Captain Atom ($10). (Since I'm a new poster here, I can't post pics here yet.)
{added] Also picked up the DC Multiverse KF Batman at Target. Passed on the Batman Animated set of cel shaders (including variants) to build Condiment King.

Depends on where you live in the US. I live in NYC and there's no Walmart unless I drive 1 hour out of the city. Even then, the surrounding Walmart shelves are usually bare of any popular figs because others doing the same to get figs, and they definitely won't be $10. So I'll have to drive even further out 2-3 hours into other states to find a Walmart surrounded by a small population. Location and population density are big factors.

Zigerlion 10-14-2023 10:29 AM

The Merciless Patina looks pretty good. McFarlane selling their BAFs at $30 is also great. Unlike Hasbro selling theirs at $40-$60.

Harbinger 10-14-2023 03:25 PM

Ill get that merciless as he goes great on my fantasy shelf. Call him the pitiless.

Skoob 10-14-2023 07:24 PM

Love that Spawn. Hate the Batman. Blech.

BUT I LOVE THAT SPAWN!:eeek:thumbs

It took awhile for me to find Abyss (just the common) I found 3 superman chases 2 green lantern chases and still couldn't find abyss. I guarantee if any of those names you listed where released as common figures they would be on store pegs warming up to clearance. Thats the absolutely hilarious part.

Maybe Starfire would do something..she has had a long history of appearing in cartoons and shows.

ThorOdinson123 10-16-2023 04:25 PM

hoping Black Lightning shows up on Walfart's website this week though I highly doubt it. Why did Todd have to give him to Walmart . Had BL been on Target I would have had him ordered and shipped by now

Found this morning. They had 3 of the normal deco. Also had Sinestro which look much better in hand.
