So happy with my Silver Captain Atom though...hope a New 52 one is released of him.

Well I just bought another DC Super Heroes Superman($20.54 Shipped) to start off my Superman Collection when my Custom Doomsday Arrives. Also purchased a DCUC S.T.R.I.P.E. w/Stargirl(39.99 Shipped), DCUC Despero($34.95 Shipped) and paid off my DCD Arkham City Killer Crock and Mr. Freeze(101.85 Shipped). And thanx to Toyaddict I am receiving a Modern Starman for some BAF parts I had in my fodder box. So for $197.33 my months spending is almost done.

I paid a premium for mine. Shame he has a bit of a bobblehead.

As long as he is Silver. Capton Atom is one of the better looking figures. I really like him.

Paid off my preorder last night. DCD Arkham City Mr. Freeze and Killer Crock. These guys will be an awesome addition to my collection.

I agree, I hope the actual figure they release will be as nice as this display one. I'd also be very grateful if Mr. Freeze turns out as poseable.

He has good enough articulation to be in my collection. From what I see he has Wrist, elbow, shoulder, head, knee, ankle(swivel only), thigh, and hip. The Thigh swivel I am questioning myself. It may just be detail.

Hey guys I have a quick question.

I was out hunting the clearance aisles today and at WalMart I came across the DC Crime Syndacate 5 pack for $34.98.

Now I'm loving the Owlman, but not sure if I love it $35 worth.

So in your opinions, for those of you who have these figures, is the set as a whole worth the investment?

For the record I have very few DC figures, and haven't fully explored their potential.

Any advice on the set would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, the set is worth $35, if you can find it in person (which you did). Owlman alone is easily $20.

Owlman seems to be the one that everyone likes. And you can get him by himself off eBay for $20 or less probably. I personally don't think there's long-term investment potential for any of them, besides Owlman.

So get 'em if you like them, get 'em if there's a special place in your heart for the Crime Syndicate, get 'em if you need inexpensive DCUC custom fodder parts (under $8 each ain't bad), but if you're doing it only for future profit. . .probably not the best choice.

I have well over 100 DCUC figures. . .but I couldn't bring myself to buy this set at half price when my Walmart clearanced them.

They're all villains (villains are typically fan favorites) and two years from now they'll be a pain in the ass to find for a decent price, so I say pick them up. Owlman is very awesome, but the rest aren't too bad either.

I bought two sets when they were clearanced at about $37 each.

I kept the first one and stole the Power Ring fig from the second set for a custom. I sold Owlman + Ultraman + Superwoman and made my money back on the second set. I still have an extra Johnny Quick which I may keep for a head-swap to make him more like the JLA #107-114 version (with the silver helmet).

Cool. I hope you keep them intact, they're pretty decent figures if you find a set with good paint apps and the limbs don't lock up/break. I haven't heard of that happening often, but occasionally it does.

Try and find an Ultraman with a Blue neck. IMO He looks more evil.

So there is a variant blue neck Ultraman, cool.

There was a few sets so I'll have a look see.

Nope. He was a variant in the 5pak.

Yeah, the 2-Pack Ultraman has red eyes, red wrist gauntlets, a raised plain red U emblem, and a weird raised delta wing collarbone piece.

He is a really weird fig.
