holly crap! did Ross have any more? I really wouldn't have expected to see those at retail again they came out like what 3, 4 years ago! do you think it was a fluke back room find?

UrsaMagnus 09-28-2015 07:19 PM

I'd love to be to have more of those but I'd need at least 47 of them for all my different armors.

That moment when you realize that Hasbro missed the perfect opportunity to rerelease this:http://mlb-s2-p.mlstatic.com/bestsel...1_062014-F.jpg

Wait a minute, what is that? How well would it look from the side? DETAILS, MAN!

Every line got a new Hulkbuser after AOU. From Hot Toys all the way down to Superhero Squad. Heck, they even invented a new 2.5" line this year and gave it a Hulkbuster! Even lines that previously had Hulkbusters got new ones.

Edit: Even bootleggers made a Hulkbuster for nonexistent lines!

But nothing for MU, not even the rerelease. That isn't a missed opportunity. That's a deliberate snub.

Sorry I don't really know for myself. I went out looking for this MODOK today and didn't find it. Found this picture on Instagram to get a general idea of how big it is. I have the BAF MODOK from before but it doesnt hurt to get more than one version of a villain. I mean I do have like 50 Iron Mans and Captain Americas...and Spidermans....and Wolverines...and some Thors..

I found those at 2 different ross stores so I'm not sure what the deal is. The copywrite on the back said 2010, so I'm guessing they sat in some warehouse for half a decade.

Yeah that's kind of why I would not mind if hasbro dropped dwight stall. David Vonner handed the keys to a Porsche to this guy he drove it into a brick wall on purpose, what a troll.

Don't you mean that David Vonner had the keys pried from his hands?

Because last I heard, he was fired, he didn't quit of his own choice.

Considering their recent mistreatment of the line(and the scale in general), that doesn't sound too far off. Could've just been an oversight, for all we know.

kostej 09-29-2015 12:21 AM

So with NYCC around the corner, does anyone know if Hasbro will have ‘Twas the Night Before Party? Just to remind - last year they revealed 10 figures for 3.75 line there. This year is probably going to be a little different with Hasbro being directly in NY with their Star Wars panel. But what about Marvel?

ive seen most of the game figs from this line but i didnt notice if modok was in the target i saw them in now i have to make a special stop there today to see about getting him as an alternative to the legends or old im cartoon ones. looks pretty kool and seems like a good update to modok since he doesnt need too much articulation.

laughing my butt off that i cant get on facebook at work but can not only get on toyark it actually pulled up faster than all school board approved site too.

Il Cattivo 09-29-2015 06:33 AM

does that modok have any articulation?

Il Cattivo 09-29-2015 07:54 AM

was looking at old marvel toys and came across this venom from 1995. I think for his age he still looks great. he looks like he'd fit in nicely with the MU guys.

Wave 3 in hand finally showing up on Amazon, through Toy Whiz right now of course, but that means it should start showing up regularly within the next month (if history is any indicator)

Six figure wave -- Amazon.com: Marvel Avengers Infinite 2015 Series 3 Set of 6 Action Figures 3.75" [Juggerlossus, Northstar, Korg, Emma Frost, Deadpool & Chameleon]: Toys & Games

Emma - Amazon.com: Marvel Infinite Series Emma Frost: Toys & Games

Chameleon - Amazon.com: Marvel Infinite Series Marvel's Chameleon: Toys & Games

I know there are others but they're easily searchable. Emma is higher priced right now at $25, but NS and Chameleon are actually less than single BBTS prices. Which is amazing given it's Toy Whiz.

I'd still hold off though because prices will likely get lower. I've already ordered mine through BBTS which are supposed to ship this month, but I'll be keeping an eye on the Emma prices, and if the prices is right and in hand I'll likely get one to be sure I get it sooner.

Northstar - Amazon.com: Marvel Infinite Series Northstar Action Figure: Toys & Games

Captain Nash 09-29-2015 08:36 AM

On another note, with Wave 3 just now hitting and we haven't seen any pictures or anything of wave 4, just rumors. I do wonder if it's coming this year or not. Holding out hope for something from NYCC otherwise I'm going to say "it's not." which will be crappy line management (as noted already), a total of 3 whole waves for the year, even worse than the 4 we got last year.

Il Cattivo 09-29-2015 08:39 AM

def getting emma and chameleon. the rest are easy pass.

is deadpool a fan of kickass or something? lol

I hope HTS gets these sooner then BBTS so I can drop it with them...I miss the old HTS site sigh.

Also saw this at Target, what a joke, if I ever have to pay these, I think I would be out collecting MU and I mean the regular price.

UrsaMagnus 09-29-2015 09:44 AM

Just ordered myself a Northstar. Thanks for the link.

I'll be keeping my pre-order for Chameleon and Emma at BBTS because I've not got the cash handy for all three and Northstar is my personal priority.

That's the Venom I've got for Brock right now in my Sinister Six.

Kernel 09-29-2015 10:04 AM

eBay has the next wave for $69.95 plus free shipping (seller wakotoys). I've never dealt with that seller but I went ahead and preordered and cancelled my BBTS order. At about $11.66 per figure it's about what I would pay with tax (probably less actually) at retail. Cheaper for me in terms of time/gas for sure to go online. I almost get the impression they are trying to kill this line off with the prices and quality decline. I'm just happy we are getting Emma and some of the old bucks (minus chameleon).
Now to channel my best Samson.... Release the friggin skurge!

You're welcome. I find myself on amazon quite a bit as I pretty much everything but groceries there now, so it's only natural I do my "looking" there first, or through BBTS or HTS if I get wind somethings on preorder there. Amazon's great but you do have to be wary of how the third party selling system works and know that the old adage of patience being a virtue is very true here.

As someone that solely collected MU, I have since branched out to other lines as 15-20 figures a year does not appease my collecting needs/habits. Not to mention I have not picked up a single MI at retail since the line debuted. I have picked them all up from HTS or through trades on here, plus the amount of people on this thread that have preordered thiers from BBTS, amazon, ebay, and Taobao, show that this line is all but dead at retail. I still laugh when I see three pegs of the beast/sandman/black cat at target for $13 a piece when those are now 9 months old...almost 10 months at this point.

I just bought the entire HB Legends wave at a retail store for $12.23 each...THEY ARE CHEAPER THAN MI!!!! Plus they have accessories, a BAF piece, have much better paint apps, and the articulation that we are all accustomed to. MU/MI is stil my favorite, but trying to ride it out until something changes is getting painful. If we only see 3 waves a year I really don't know what we will all be discussing soon...

And I may be alone is this, but I am not even close to the current run of Comics and the fact that next year will be almost entirely filled with secret wars and new stuff does not impress me at all. The only new stuff I'm interested in is MCU and that is the only reason why im swimming in Legends at the moment
