^ I'll probably pick one of those up when they go on sale.

Oh ok thanks. It does help so we can rule out the big stores like target and Walmart... That is of course unless u don't want others to know :o

kylactus 10-05-2015 08:48 PM

seriously, if the internet didn't exist I wouldn't know anything in this line was made past the deaths head wave. I wish just one chain store would carry consistently. in the 90's I either bought or saw every single x-men figure at retail at one local Walmart (non super). and as a 10 year old I didn't get a lot of hunting time, but 20 plus years later the largest toy company in history can't even get every other wave to retail! If this line was heroin we'd all of died from withdrawal long ago!

Kamatayan 10-05-2015 09:05 PM

I don't know about you guys but I think Target is going to be the best place to find the new wave. While they are usually late when they finally do stock up they have the entire wave there.

This year is probably going to be a little different with Hasbro being directly in NY with their Star Wars panel. But what about Marvel?

I will respond to myself. According to one other site there should be ‘Twas the Night Before Party on Wednesday evening - that's tomorrow. Let's hope that Hasbro shows us something new like the last year.

My guess, they will unveil some new ML figures, re show the 3.75" from SDCC, and bring out some new kids toys (mashers, wearable kids stuff, ect). and if were really lucky, but I would not expect that, we might get some sort of preview of what to expect from Civil War, and, or, Ragnaok.

We won't get anything for Ragnorok yet. Civil War we might get some prototypes.
I reckon we'll see the figures they revealed in the slideshow at SDCC that they didn't have prototypes for.

Never hurts to add details even if it's not in our area.

kylactus 10-06-2015 11:51 AM

what would be a better prize for a Halloween themed contest, a quick silver/ wonderman comic pack, or a set of the first three MS zombies (hulk, col. America, spidey)?

I was thinking more along the lines of, if we see 3.75" figures for Civil War, it might mean they came to there senses and gave up on the 2" peg warming Avengers line and future movies will have limited waves, like Thor dark world, and Winter Soldier. Really at least we got something! AOA had so much potential in 3.75, but we got shat on. if this was 2009 we would have gotten all the Avengers, probably all the villains, a Struker, Hydra goons, Klaw, several ultrons, tons of army builders, maybe even some Hydra truck tanks or a bunker. plus that movie was MADE for playset potential! tony's lab, ultron's hideout, Hydra base, the church. Avengers living room.

So much wasted potential. I mean, would it kill them to add decent articulation at the very least? Hopefully they'll come to their senses if they still have them. If they flop on Infinity War, Hasbro blood will be shed!

"Hey kids, I've got the coolest toy for you! Red plastic with a Hulkbsuter sticker on it with 2 points of articulation! Wicked cool! Now your imagination has no limits! With these awesome pieces of plastic you can imagine so many cool things. Like Hasbro getting their heads out of their asses!"

Also, @kylcatus, any update on the mass production of bootlegs thing? Or is that thing dead?

Kamatayan 10-06-2015 12:30 PM

Does the recent ML Dorammammu scale well with MU's? How tall is it?

Ah, were this the days of late 2000s Star Wars figures for Hasbro we'd have got all 9 Avengers, costume variants of each, Hill, Fury, War Machine, several Ultrons, Klaw in a 3 pack with his mercenary and one of the Twins, a Vision birth set, a solid Hulkbuster you could put an Iron Man in, a fully articulated Hulkbuster with Hulk set, Banner and Stark, JARVIS and Ultron as the mind balls, HYDRA base with Strucker, the Doctor (Lizt?), and Loki's scepter. Then an Avengers Party set with Helen Cho, Rhodes, Thor, & Ultron 1. Several sets you could clip together to be Stark Tower like the 2.5" line.

Thems were the days.

Reckoning that Dormammu is a shapeshifter it fits however well you want it to, I think it's around 7" or 8" tall but like I said he's a shapeshifter and has many a time been rather giant.

I was going to do a custom if I wasn't able to get one. Just find a head you like and put it on a MOTUC Faceless one.

Il Cattivo 10-06-2015 07:38 PM
