I didn't want to have to do this but when is the right time to call someone out? I have a friend on the boards that made a trade with a respected member and still hasn't had his items.. The member in question got his side of the trade but after countless excuses and assurances it's been sent is still waiting after a month. I don't want to start a with hunt or name names but where would you guys draw the line.. my friend doesn't want to put anything up as he thinks it might cause trouble because he is well liked but to be honest it shouldn't matter. I know other users have had issues but havnt mentioned anything and they don't have to come forward but if we are one community that share and care then we all should know and have a say so what are your thoughts?

I think it would be appropriate to PM an admin at this point. If I were in this scenario I wouldn't care about someone's rep at this point. But do you believe this person or is he obviously bullshitting your friend?

Also, you have to ask yourself if the item that's being sent is worth possibly ruining someone's reputation.

So are you saying if the item is insignificant to 1 person but means a lot to another then it's not worth saying anything? So if you sent $30 worth of stuff to someone and never got it back then is it really worth ruining that persons reputation for that $30?? Wow!! We I certainly hope you don't get screwed over at any point. ..

As it was my bits Pilk's referring to and UKMU who still has yet to send them, I'd say yeah it's worth ruining his false good name.
Too long has he been screwing around with people, taking months to send a few figures, or just not sending them at all, and it is not on.
He does a deal, you send your stuff, then he comes back and asks for more, and it you don't comply, you don't get your stuff. All while some guilt trip is in play; "I've just done 2 months work in 2 weeks" was his last one. Apparently he can't spare an hour to run to the post office. Ever. At all.
I sent him money for postage, I sent him cast heads from Vort he said he'd paint for me, I sent him a cape for trade, never receiving anything. I'd call that theft.

UKMU is a thief and a conman.

No doubt he'll return in a few months, possibly Christmas time, hoping we'll all have forgotten he's a bad trader and a criminal, but I won't have.

It's all up to you guys. I really don't think Ukmu of all people would be a conman, but it is what it is.

But before we start getting deep into accusations you guys should track down all of Ukmu's supposed victims and get some confirmation or something. This seems too bad to be true.

To be honest one scam is too many, it is what it is at the end of the day and Jedirulez is without his items or the ones he was supposed to receive.

I have lost over £200 to scammers since getting into this hobbie, all to customisers 1 of which I felt like family with, I even sent the guy a Baghdad spidey as a free gift so fuck a thief imho

I myself have been coned a few times and again from someone I was really close with and got to know really well over the last 2 years.. but like you said a problem should be reported and people should be made aware.

Well there's me, Jimmyo is owed decals, Kernel is owed a piece of Vision art, and he's screwed around with Pilkster's deals many times.

I only got conned a long time back. I saw an ad on a message board I think it was AOL(just to give you an idea how long back). The stuff he sent me was broken junk.

Isn't it possible that some of you are being a just tad too quick to put labels on Ukmu? I mean if what you're saying is true then that's one thing, but what if he's dealing with some serious personal stuff and has higher priorities right now than fulfilling trades? It just seems rash to be calling someone out without them getting to say a word for themselves. Maybe I'm playing devil's advocate here but I'd like to think that people here on the Ark are at least decent and don't necessarily deserve to be called a con artist without a shot of defense.

I will say that he has always been a flake. Never traded with him but several times I offered to send him stuff he needed (for free) and he just stopped responding. Still posted on boards that he needed the items blah blah even when someone had offered to hook him up. Very weird. Amongst other things.

I wanted to say the same thing but didn't know how to word it. It is still a high possibility that he's conning you but we really don't know what's going on with him. Anything could be happening to him but we wouldn't know.

If you really need your items then confront an admin and make sure that once he logs on you put him on the spot.

Those items I'd bought and paid for, of course I need them; unless he's died he's stolen them.
And every time I've tried to PM him on here his mailbox has been full. He's on MU Collectors Club too, you get an email whenever someone PMs you, so I know he's seen it.

If it was 1 or 2 trades that had issues around the same time I'd say yeah there could be a issue.. The fact that there has been a few "incidents" is the issue. Second issue is that on 3 occasions it's been mentioned that he has now shipped.. Most important issue it is Jedirulez' property. He has the right to be concerned and mention it after almost 2 months of patiently waiting. The first post I started was to ask a question and opinions. I didn't name names as I knew opinions would be swayed because he is a respected member and didn't want to bash anyone.
