I'm just wondering if it's a way to give savvy shoppers a sale without having a sale.

That happened for me once. One of my kids was turning 4 or 5 (don't remember, getting old) and wanted this Power Rangers talking helmet that you could download updates via USB to. I saw Star Wars and Transformer versions for $50 and figured for his BDay I would get one. It just got stocked and when I went to check out they couldnt figure out price and manager said how about $20? I said for that price I would take the other 3 as well. When I got to the register he told the cashier to make it $5 each and for $20 I got $200 worth and gave them to a lot of happy kids for their birthdays. I did ask ask the manager if he was sure first and he said yup. Tell you what, all things considered I go to that Target a lot more ever since, not bc I am waiting to see if it happens again but bc the Manager basically sold me on Target as a "will do anything" for the customer organization and as a marketing skill that manager assured I spent a lot more there. So win-win I think for them in the end.

Interesting point, but if that is the case why do I feel like a criminal every time I have to take something to guest services for a price match, lol.

Every time I ask for a price match I'm assuming they will find a reason to tell me no, but that doesn't happen too often.

I do have the pre order with BBTS but will drop it once HTS gets it, only reason I went with BBTS is cause of Emma sigh...

I think they are just too lazy to try and update them to new ones based on the barcode.

Plus from what I remember Wal-mart has one of the most advanced Real-time inventory systems, meaning that if they sell down to a certain quantity the system automatically places an order for more. That type of system is tracking individual pieces and not just blanketing them all together.

It's interesting that the online price still says 30...haven't really seen these out though. Wonder if they're pretty much gone now?

It's hit or miss when it comes to that, that's why I always prefer getting the young peeps. They don't care.

Is BBTS sending them soon? I went with ebay cuz it was cheaper and they shipped them yesterday..

As for the younger peeps that's a good idea, I'll have to do that. I hate when they are hard a$$es and take their jobs way too seriously.

I managed to snatch loose Emma complete with cloak on ebay for 13USD. I was a little nervous but the figure arrived all right last week.

UrsaMagnus 10-14-2015 03:14 PM

My Emma and Chameleon from BBTS are on their way to me now. They should arrive Friday.

I really doubt that.

Woohoo! My BBTS order just arrived today. Can't wait to do some photos with my new figs. Hope everyone gets theirs soon!

Kernel 10-14-2015 07:50 PM

Everything I've read/watched said that Wal-mart has one of the most (if not the most) advanced logistics/inventory system in the world. I've read that the major problem with wally world the last 2 years or so is that they don't hire enough employees to empty the stock rooms, driving down business/traffic, which causes layoffs at the "poorly performing" store and compounds the problem, so I could see both sides of it (what good is having an advanced automated reordering system if nobody stocks the shelves). I stopped browsing at wally world for the most part unless I have to get something else there. Other then seeing a few hyperions in the clearance aisle there has not been much, which is a shame as it used to be a go to store for MU 3.75" ACTION FIGURES, now they just stock up on the 6" dolls :p

Il Cattivo 10-14-2015 08:52 PM

got chameleon and emma from a local comic shop. paid a bit more than I wanted to (chameleon was $12 and emma was $15) but I know I'll never find them at retail so I didn't hesitate to pull the trigger :)

Really surprised that Chameleon is peg warming.

Speaking of Chameleon, why didn't Hasbro use the Prof. X buck on him? Everyone would be after him for the figure, and so that they can use the suit for customs.

zim 10-15-2015 08:07 AM

where are chameleon peg warming? What is this about a new target 3 pack? i went back several pages. Is this something new or old?

Captain Nash 10-15-2015 08:16 AM

I have yet to see this wave at retail. Actually, most of the area is still stocked with Wave 1 figures from LAST year....though I saw a Black Cat mixed in with the Iron Man, Captain America and Hyperion figures (which I thought was funny.) I've seen most of wave one from this year, never Bishop though, from time to time, but nothing from wave 2 or 3 at all. I gave up on retail a long time ago though so I'm not too worried about it.

On another note, I guess that Executioner/Rogue/Vision/Morbius wave isn't coming this year, given we haven't seen it at any of the shows. Way to go Hasbro, 3 whole waves this year.....consider me underwhelmed.

as I patiently keep going..."okay..okay..just one more thing in my Pile of Loot and I'll ship it"...ha

Cool your stuff came...i'll be waiting on those pics man!!

kylactus 10-15-2015 08:27 AM

The TRU in coolsprings has been on point, that's where I got Bishop. they have the largest marvel section in the area. the TRU in Murfreesboro is garbage they have one wonderman and four empty slots. before that they had a aurora with two left hands for over a year, but the Murfreesboro TRU has a five below thas always got movie figures from waves that didn't make it to retail, and a target that scalpers seem to ignore in the same parking lot.

That is helpful to know.l..thanks. I never make it out to Cool Springs --Rivergate TRU is about the only one I go to, and Targets in RG, Hendersonville and Mt. Juliet all have the same every time I go it seems....I need to expand my search area sounds like.\....well the next time I'm looking, I'm all caught up for now.

This is the epitome of Marvel 3.75 right now. The rebranding has given us time to catch up on things we have missed, but I never would have guessed we would have this much time! Less than 20 figures released this year for our scale, very sad statistic.

On a much brighter note...

Yeah I've got 2 that nobody has asked about at all

Probably if I were to ship them, I think some others have gotten theirs from them already. Agreed they should realize that they're just working for a corporation, they're hourly wage is what they get paid by and be happy with that. Trying to save corporations $ eh...haha that's just me though :P
