im brand new to collecting. I had loads of He-Man, GI Joe, GUTS, MUSCLEmen, Gundam, Robotech, TMNT figures and Transformers as a kid, but the one thing I wanted to collect and never really had, was the Secret Wars toys. Fast forward to 2011 Wondercon in SF (first time being back in years too, since they moved from Oakland) and I discover the Marvel Universe 3.75" figures at a vendor who had almost every character I had ever wanted to own. All I bought then at the time was the Avengers trinity. Since then, it has been an addiction. Anytime I can, I try to make a visit to the local shop, Walmart, Target, TRU or KMart to find these figures. If I really want a particular figure, I've ordered online thru Amazon, BBTS and ToyWiz (thats my last resort). Suffice to say, I'm eagerly anticipating wave 2 2012. Anyhow, i've been aching to share my collection after browsing these forums for a few months (lots of impressive collections on here), so here goes....

Well that's good news! Shouldn't be too long now before I start seeing some new cp two packs.

Itching for Thanos/Warlock, probably pick up Gambit since I missed him during XMO.

Jveron, welcome and nice collection!

Looking at the addendum pic makes me wonder why I never grabbed Astonishing Wolverine.

awww man he is the best Wolverine so far

usagent27 04-06-2012 03:38 PM

Anyone got a Heavy Artillary Captain America?

Jason Abbadon 04-06-2012 03:43 PM

The Avengers aliens might not even be one species- which would fit Thanos' horde- he may be a nihilist, but he's a equal oppourtunity employer.

My bet is on "none of the above" and that they went for generic aliens with no (human) dialogue and no motivation outside being Loki's bitches- there's so much going on with so many characters already that giving them more would mean taking time away from bigger characters.

Still, I'd have killed to see some Dire Wraith horror goin' down- or maybe the Snarks for badass reptile action!

also- WELOME JVERON! great pics there! That Iron Fist on the bottle is the best!

Thanks! I'd cosign that too. I like that its actually short in stature compared to other figures. He's definitely worth picking up and probably is the best wolverine figure, although it gets a lil loose around the pelvic joints after posing it for a bit when it arrived in the mail. I need a solution to fix loose joints on some of these figures.

I really hope not. ML and the Avengers lines aren't nearly enough to keep my collecting OCD in check...

I think he's great, personally. Starting to become a hard to find around here...

jveron 04-06-2012 04:01 PM

Thanks guys! Glad to be on here. I can talk about these figures all day. Anyhow, my cousin (who also collects) pointed me to this site in case Hasbro's stock weapons and accessories aren't doing it for you:

Marauder "Gun-Runners" Home Page

in case you haven't heard of it already! It's pretty RAD!

Awesome pic! Gotta hunt Showdown Beastie if you want a 90's Beast... at least Rogue is coming though. And yah... no X-men shot is complete without 90's Jean Grey and Archangel... at least they are much cheaper on the secondary market than they used to be.

They are the same character just different costumes. So I'd assume the same for both. I was refering to the AvX one though, since the cardinals references are in the infinite issue which you can get if you bought avx issue 1 digitally or in store. The physical copy comes with a code for that digital comic.

Sam Alexander is the name for both though the personalities are probably going to be different.

FancyPants 04-06-2012 04:56 PM

AA is in a revision pack now and jean, shouldn't be more than 20 ever.

I've got my archangel with apocalypse and mystique. Might just bring him over to the xmen though and leave death mask variant with them

SH0CKWAVE 04-06-2012 05:03 PM

My X Men (3.75) collection is extensive. Quite a few characters have been produced, if you do the tally. It would be hard pressed to stick w a handful. I couldn't do it!

Yeah, i've been scouting Amazon to check on prices for those two and I saw pretty much the same. I was prioritizing my toy money for whenever the new wave was going to drop but since ive seen most on here mention it probably won't be until July, I think i'm gonna have to shell out for those two now, before they're completely out of circulation.

there is just too many on my wanted list that i'll have to pay collector price for (which i don't mind really, but man is it great when you grab one you want at retail price). In the far back of my display im trying to assemble the Invaders, so im hoping to get Jim Hammond/Torch for the lowest i've seen it at on Amazon's listings, $40 i think?

which one is that? the flame on variant? I got mine at walmart :)

A lot of guys here sell stuff too. Somebody might have AA. I got mine off ebay for like 30 shipped before the revision pack came out, which was dumb. I mean if I waited another week. I would have gotten it at retail.

@ Veronica Mars woohooo thanks for posting that sighting of the new CPs at a walmart near Sac town right? That means its almost in my neck of the woods. But Im hoping the mighty Lord Marvel would find it and offer it for his amazing deal!!!

@ Jveron Welcome to the Toy Ark Forums!! Great pics and collection man. I love how you pose your figures , you remind me of Noodlechow , a fellow arker and fellow Bay area collector too!! Hit up his collection page youll see what I mean. Oh since youre new to the Arker Family, pay Attention to most of the BST here as alot of our fellow arkers ( special props to Lord Marvel and Peteparker ) are excellent with trades or sales of thier multiples , just ask Shockwave he got back quick with his collection.
