It's not in hand yet, but I caved in and ordered the new Rattrap for $20 shipped, I'm tired of seeing people online get him while all of my stores only care about the movie toys, plus it's only $4 more than paying for the toy and tax if I ever found one. How hard is it for you guys to find 6" Boba Fett figures? My TRU overstocked his wave and all the Bobas got bought up so they refuse to restock, and walmart skipped to stormtrooper wave, at least I got the trooper.

My stores basically look like this...Leia, Greedo, Greedo, Greedo, Han, Leia, Bespin Luke, Greedo, Leia, Greedo, Han,...and then literally 2 shelves full of Han and (surprise!) GREEDO two packs! To this day, I have still yet to see ANY Bobas on the shelf...period. Thank goodness I preordered him when he originally came out, otherwise I would be ripping my hair out trying to find the original version, since the Walgreens one doesn't really interest me that much. (Which I also have yet to find.)

Ditto that's the one figure I have never seen at retail was Boba...I actually saw Storm Trooper once who I hooked up someone with.

Feijai 09-10-2014 03:46 PM

Hey any word on the preorder of Fett and Venom? Are they sending them out, cause I don't want to buy them at the store.

soundwavempl 09-10-2014 08:34 PM

Found and got the Prototype Armor Boba Fett at a local Walgreens today. I left the Sandtrooper.

Same with my local stores :( Nothing but Han, Greedo, and the occasional Leai. Now Obi-Wan is joining them as a peg warmer.
Now that Wal-Marts in the US seem to be carrying the 6" Black series, for a week or so, Storm Troopers were briefly easy to find in my area, but they all disappeared quickly.
Surprisingly, it seems that those of us who are taking a completionist approach to the 6" Black series are going to have to largely rely on Walgreens to find Vader and Chewie, since they seem to be a goldmine (at least in certain areas so far) for these figures, and no one else is restocking this line.

Managed to snag a loose Surfer with Howard the Duck and the board/stand for a pretty decent price.

Trivial Psychic 09-10-2014 09:52 PM

Was excited to run into Wave 5 of the G.I.Joe Kreons tonight at TRU while on the home from work, but cringed when I noticed that Kreo no longer puts codes on the back of the bags, turning these into true blind bag figures (and giving Kreo scalpers on Ebay even more excuses to up their prices.) Thankfully, I was able to get the two figures I coveted most (Zarana and Dial Tone) and I might be willing to trade Lifeline and the B.A.T. to anyone interested.

Also...where the heck is Wave 4? How did Wave 5 manage to jump ahead? Or is my TRU that awful that Wave 4 never made it into my local stores?

First off, I hate you Trivial :-P I was looking for those joe kreo all day. I found none. And no, all TRU seem to be getting the series 5 and not series 4. I am really expecting that TRU will get both very close together. I have yet to see any reports of anyone catching series 4 anywhere yet. I may just buy a bunch and sell off my doubles.

What I am really waiting for is to catch the Terrordrome set IN STORE. I know it is on the website but I can't put it on layaway on the website.

I almost didn't run into these today, as the lone case was placed in the aisle adjacent to where the Kreos are normally placed in my store, right next to the Halo and Call Of Duty sets. I'm really bummed that Kreo is deciding to go completely blind bag on these, especially since the minifigs are not quite as obvious to feel through the packaging as some of the other brands out there. I knew they were going this route with the Transformers route, but I was hoping that G.I.Joe would be spared, especially since they are never in a ready supply at any TRU that I go to. Every time I see them, I have to pick them up right then and there, or risk not ever seeing them again. =(

I got lucky in finding the two I wanted most, but not being able to pick up armybuilders like the new Vipers and ninjas really hurts. 3.49 a pop is just too much now a days to spend on blind ANYTHING. Definitely keep me in mind when you start swapping out those doubles!

The Terrordrome will be a dream come true. It was the one Joe toy outside the big guns like the Flagg and the Defiant that I always wanted, but never could get my hands on as a kid. Getting that bad boy, even in brick form, will definitely tickle my geek spot so bad.

It's very rare around these parts to see anything past wave 1 or 2 for the 3 3/4" Black Series Star Wars figures, much less one I am actually looking for...Been looking for the Goldfinger Aston Martin too!!!

I've pretty much all have all but given up on trying to find SWB figures in the wild. I either pre-order or don't bother at this point. Most of my local stores are swimming in Greedos and Leias, and have been for well over 6 months now, with no end in sight. Many of my local Targets are now resorting to spacing out the figures on the displays to fill pegs so they no longer need to replenish them, since they are technically plenty in stock. It's really deflating and disheartening.

I have to scratch my head on Hasbro's case selections at times. I often wonder if the pegs would be as full as they are with old product had Leia and Greedo been the shortpacks, with Troopers, Fett, Hans being the two or mores in the case. Releasing an SDCC two pack featuring two characters already pegwarming everywhere (Greedo and Han) with the only difference being a cardboard diorama doesn't exactly strike me as the smartest idea either...

En Sabah Nerd 09-11-2014 07:36 PM

6" Han is warming the crap out of the pegs in my area, Boba Fett is the only one I can tell is really being bought from his wave. To my knowledge these only ship in cases of four, so every figure to this point has been equally rare but obviously not equally demanded. When Han was chosen to be the first repacked figure (accompanying stormtrooper's wave) I punched the wall, why him and not Fett?!

After work trip to the only 24 hour Walgreens on this side of town yielded some happy results. Snagged the only Agent Venom on the peg. Also grabbed Superior Spidey since I was missing him. I was actually surprised to find other Spidey line figs since it seems like most are finding a full display of only Agent Venom.

I am really wishing I was into Star Wars since they had the 6" Vader and he looked AWESOME. I almost bought him anyway. Thinking I might go back tomorrow and see if he's still there.

A rather exciting new addition to my Marvel Legends collection, the Captain America: The Winter Soldier Black Widow. Got her from Amazon for £25.

Credit where credit is due always… UKMU, thank you my friend! UKMU somehow found out that this wonderful collector from Chicago, “Ash” (look him up on YouTube, he’s collection is second to none, ASHROK1982 “the danger room”), was in time of need and had decided to sell his most precious pieces. UKMU told Ash about me and Ash contacted me. Ash liked what I had to say and after “intense” negotiations we came to a deal. Sorry, I won’t reveal how much but I will say that not even Jordan (toy hunter) stood a chance against me (and he was very persuasive is my understanding). Folks, I got outbid by two other people but Ash knew right away that if he sold them to me his figures would end up in one of the best (if not the best) and most complete MU single carded 3.75 collections ever! Ash told me, “I want this figures to end up with a collector not a scalper”, his words.

Shawn Woodbeck 09-12-2014 09:51 AM

Raf you lucky BASTARD!!! LOL Kidding. If you sell your collection I hope I get first dibs!!!!
