Cool novelty item. Overpriced is putting it lightly, but that's relative to buyer.

Related note, picked up Showdown Thing on Bay for $11 shipped. Seller had it advertised as Marvel Universe, but pic was clearly Showdown.

thats my fave THING so far..infact I prefer ALL the showdown F4 figures to the MU ones so far (YES even Sue lol)

What stands are good for use with like the 3 pack figures? Is there an aftermarket stand that fits good or do I need to hunt for open stands on ebay?

DogFashionDisco 04-10-2012 05:57 AM

That Sue Richards might be the only MU I'm interested in buying right now, but only to leave on someone's shelf just to freak them the fuck out.

She's a man, baby. Yeah!

On a more serious note, all three of those figures should have never made it past the prototype stage.

miketime 04-10-2012 07:53 AM

Remember in 95 Star Wars Power of the Force Leia with Han Solo's face. Now that was homely. Their is something about the articulation and sculpting of female figures that still eludes most toy companies. Hasbro is getting better at it.

x-23 is pretty hot......um...for a little plastic toy....ahem.

behindthemask 04-10-2012 08:32 AM

As of late x-23, invisible woman, and storm are 3 examples Hasbro is improving with females, and looking forward to She-Hulk, and a few others look fantastic. Out of the new ML Hope is a good example of a nice face sculpt.

shortysben 04-10-2012 08:53 AM

@ behind the mask: agreed, I think the new she-hulk will rule!

also whats up fellas...still a drought, I have a decent stash saved for new shit, but nothing to buy! anyone plan on going to baltimore comic con?

warpath....i had to shave some of his upper torso so ironman armor would fit on it.

Symbiote 04-10-2012 10:30 AM

I think showdown sue storm takes the cake for running into the ugly stick.

snake5289 04-10-2012 11:14 AM

Finally found a Daredevil/Bullseye comic pack. I've been looking for these bad boys since I first saw the pics from Toyfair and they're so crazy awesome and the articulation is amazing. Rocker ankles FTW.

Here's DD strangling BE with his baton.

Now I really want Hasbro to make a Kingpin and Elektra

Torch and Thing are awesome. Easily beat the MU versions in person.

I agree Showdown Thing is far superior to any other 3.75 Thing.

Vehemently disagree on Torch, w all due respect. MU Flame On Torch is pretty outstanding.

Symbiote 04-10-2012 11:39 AM

The thanos/warlock and sinister/gambit packs are at walmart. My buddy greenskar just picked up his set.

I just love his pose ability and the fact hes a bit smaller than the others,I still think the next time they do a MU F4 (and Im SURE they will lol) they will do the classic versions and knock it out of the park.

Traitor! LOL. I almost bought Hope twice... took all my strength to walkaway from her at Walmart... I was hoping I would never see her again, but then like a week later I saw her again at Target. Took her all the way to the register twice, before finally putting her back on the peg and running away. LOL.

Will probably buy some ML 90's X-men if I ever see them though. LOL.

Ha ha very nice will power, ya wave 1 pretty much disappeared real fast and can barely see wave 2 now.

Yeah, they say that beauty is in the eye of beholder, but I prefer Showdown Torch and Thing to their MU versions too.

You did a great job. I wonder if I'd be able just stick a whole Iron an upper torso on a Black Panther body or something.
