I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old and have bought them legends from the Carboot sale. Cheap 5 POA 3.75 figures even offered them some of the spare MU figures and they don't really care.. I tried them with the Mashers and they play for hours.. The youngest got a lot of those 12" cheap looking marvel figures and again playboy hours with them.. I think the point is everyone's tastes are different

I mean, how stupid of a gimmick in the first place to think this would be a great toy? Coming from MU and all its awesomeness that flew off shelves; made nations swarm every store (that sold them) in thier county to find the new wave hot off the delivery truck; to peg warming "New" bunk molds they already knew would highly dissappont followers of the line.

Circle of Four VenoHulk and many other comic story lines than that also use that premise you're complaining about.

Heck Moon Knight itself had a run almost entirely dedicated to that concept.

So even adult fans can find ways to enjoy Smashers along with kids. I know I've thought heavily about picking up a venom and ghost rider solely to make a VenoHulk Rider for my collection. Not to mention maybe getting Groot that way too. I'd also consider getting some of the other more oddball bigger characters that way like Blackheart among others if they made them. Even a Sentinel or Nimrod in that scale could be cool. The Ironman figures themselves kind of vary but lend themselves to possibilities too. Ghost Rider 2099 if they made him would be fun too. Ditto to the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider.

Smashers are essentially a kids way into the world of custom figures to push creativity. I'm all in support of that.

I keep forgetting to tell you guys this. The BH6 4" Stealth variants has hit the shelves. They'e pretty cool but I still have mixed feelings on them after me last BH6 purchase.

awkwardddd. I actually have a bucket full of marvel mashers. I have a bunch of SW ones I haven't opened up yet

ukmu 10-30-2015 09:43 AM

I like the Groot MASHERS head. Super goofy colours but a nice sculpt. If I were building a smaller Groot I would use that head (over the BRANCH BASH version) and pop it on a Star Lord EE body. Sort some hands and feet out but I think it would be nice.

JimmyO's Patriot with Branch Bash extremities is nice though, seems like a lot of work. I saw the new Emma wave on shelves the other day and saw a kid look at them and wound up asking Mum for a Juggy MASHERS instead. It is a mad world indeed. I get it though, the mashers have big eyes and friendly faces...easy choice for a six year old.

I'd love someone to start doing shrinks and casts on some of the new stuff. but mostly I'd love to get back to the days where there was at least SOMETHING in stores! has anyone seen MU in discount bins, EVER!?! or falling off the pegs like the legends are now? the shit sold out every time, I will say in defense of Hasbro, in business if you sell a product out quickly you're not charging enough. so a small price bump makes sense. what doesn't make sence is not putting 3.75" stuff out in stores in favor of things that don't move! is anyone buying the Titan series garbage? I've noticed the Mashers have dried up, and the micro avengers don't look like they've moved at all.

Same too deep in the MU stuff, but not yet with ML that's what it would be somewhat easy for me to get rid of the ML's, especially since I'm a MOSC with the Marvel stuff. Although have been contemplating getting rid of some of my MU now, like Superion haha.

ML Chameleon: well articulated, suit and tie body, two extra heads to make two unique characters, and a BAF part. Price about 20$
MI Chameleon: reduced articulation, repacked Osborne head and a shit house spideyish head that makes no god dammed sense. no extras. and a f#@king turtle neck! who the F#$k wears a turtle neck in 2015!?!. price: almost 14$
FU Hasbro FU.

Agree the price doesn't make sense.

Honestly, it's easier to get into MU than it is to get into Legends, since a lot of the good ones sell for great prices on sites such as Amazon. You NEVER see a deal like those for Legends!

As for Legends themselves, I like them, but they're basically just bigger MUs. Everything a Legend can do these days has more or less been done by Universe, first in some cases. I was told by reviews that Legends were so much better than Universe by so many reviewers, when no, no they aren't. Universe, at least when it comes to the modern Legends, is the better line.

I also find it funny that some Universe figures are getting Legends forms.

A lot of them are, both ways it seems like. For me the MU's are great cause of space :P But the ML's do get good deals too actually, Target had them on sale and cheaper then the MU's a couple of weeks ago. I think I've seen the legends get more sales at the Brick N Mortar stores actually.

To each their own, but yeah the Mashers do appeal to the kids, but I always see them peg warm like crazy.

You ever get that feeling after looking at others pics????

i want that 3 pack...

Madame Warlock 10-30-2015 11:18 AM

I really like my Emma I'm glad it turned out well. The old ML from years back was such a disappointment.

It's give me a taste for X figures though. I really wish we'd just get a proper X-men wave next year. I'd love characters like Dani Moonstar(who's already gotten an ML), Monet, Magik... X females in other words.

Hasbro Marvel Legends 2006 6in Emma Frost White Queen Action Figure | eBay

Ah yes I used to have that one too haha, wasn't too to bad but the Wolverine series one def a lot better.

kylactus 10-30-2015 04:30 PM

if trying to achieve a feminine physique while retaining articulation is an art... the guy who designed that Emma was no artist. the belly, hip, crotch area is just too funky. plus the head is all wrong for her. the face looks like she is in dire need of a sandwich. Maybe this is what she really looks like when she's not manipulating everyone's mind to think she's hot.

Jackieboy 10-30-2015 04:47 PM

guys thanks for the heads up on distribution of emma frost wave, stateside.
raf if i may quote you "You loose collector guys don't know that feeling of emptiness when you have exhausted your search and you come out empty."
brother,i feel that emptiness everyday when i look at my fin fang foom....will i ever find that elusive left arm??? T.T
congrats on finally getting that im2 set btw.

Is chameleon a taller or shorter figure compared to something like Commander Rogers?
Have an idea for a few different customs if he isn't too short.

The parcel from UKMU arrived, which it would considering he spent a tenner on quick postage on the 30th so the stamp says. From "B. Strucker" of Hydra Lane no less.
White Fury means I've got the 3 Shield oldies (Dugan and Contessa), and the Golden Compass Nicole Kidman head is perfect for Peggy.
2 of TheLongestDay's Doombot capes were included, which is nice.

On the flip side, does anyone know what I can do with 5 Moon Knight heads?

To be fair Commander Rogers is a very tall figure in the line.

I am so happy your parcel arrived. I found it yesterday afternoon lying under the car seat!!!! My wife took 6 packages to post office Tuesday. Said she mailed them all. To my horror I saw this while looking for a straw I dropped. I knew that it HAD to get to you so I paid ($18) almost £11 to get it to.

I hope you are happy with its contents. Wish I could do eyes better but I hope that they will work for you. I used a new paint and it seems to smudge even after curing for like ever.

Jackieboy...welcome back! Hey I came across another Red Hand Ninja for free so I don't want yet another army to build up so I thought I would send it your way. I need to get some toy karma back after botching Jedi up. PM me.... it is most likely full but after I take 6 (yes six) 9 year old boys trick or treating tonight I will sort it out.

Funny, I was almost arrested when I was 12 for bag snatching. Was caught red handed. Y a walking policeman. He scarred me straight and took me home. My parents weren't pleased! I even cried, anyway it has come full circle and now I am the responsible adult....I use that term loosely.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN arkers

ukmu 10-31-2015 06:41 AM

Also.... I still have another 10 Moon Knight heads. I used them for my 15 SHIELD troops. Got them from happyeverydaysales years ago for £1.88 shipped each. No cape no staff and they all smelled funny. They are my (half finished and half painted) base to a sizable SHIELD army.

Well the Sif is going to be a Frigga, and Kidman's head is painted up now for Peggy.

Commander Rogers is the base for many of my customs. (Batman and a Ninja Bruce Wayne are two of those)
I want to do a suited Wayne so thats why size matters in this case.
Coulson, Tony Stark and maybe a Norman it won't matter.

Ah, I'd use a Biggs head for Howard, with the movie Stark head for Tony. Biggs is very 60s Tony, so it's perfect for a modern times version of 60s Howard
