^^^ oh yeah, that stairwell scene reminded me of The Protector, they did that stairwell scene shot as well.
i really like that they showed the water towers on the roofs when there was a roof scene. the roof fights were the best!
im very familiar with that cemetary (Calvary cemetery in Queens, ny) that they showed so that was kool.

Tomax 10-04-2018 08:12 PM

holy shit, this movie is perfect. non-stop action, good storyline, awesome graphics. here is the kicker, they made the movie as a stand alone movie so meaning it didnt relate it self with the MCU or even spidey at all. heck, it could pass by a stand alone alien movie, which i think is a good idea that they went that route. i have no complaints which is rare when i criticise movies. i especially like Venom's voice, it sounds like velvet, i can hear it all day. it even had alitte humor as well but they didnt over do it, which i liked. too much jokes gets annoying ......."cough-ragnarok-cough".........I recommend this movie for sure. i dont care what the movie sites say like Rotten oranges. this movie can even compete with Predator or Aliens since its a stand alone movie. the movie also reminded me of the Resident evil (movie) and the Darkness (game).

FYI: the villian in this movie is Riot, the after the credits scene is when eddie brock goes to a prison to visit a person called Carnage (in human form)

Saw Venom with my wife last night. We both agreed that the last half hour was fun and clever and very well done (especially the interplay between Brock and Venom), but the first 2/3 of it dragged on quite a bit. Usually with these comic book movies, it's the big final battle that starts to drag on.

Tomax 10-09-2018 01:08 PM

i really enjoyed this movie. the only complaint was that it was alittle slow at times but overall excellent movie. this was my 2nd time watching this but i didint review it. my favorite character was Churrit, he is a badass. i wonder if he was a Jedi? the black robot was kool too. i hope they can bring back Churrit on another installment. the ending was kinda abrupt also but star wars movies will always have a 'to be continued' ending so im used to that on star war movies. i recommend.

FYI: i think Donnie Yen is better than Jet Li

^You do know Rogue one is set right before a new hope right? So that’s why it has that “to be continued feel’

Anyway I just finally watched Ant man and the wasp 8.5/10 absolutely loved it. I think it was better than the first one. Though I liked yellow jacket a bit better then ghost(who was way more badass) I just liked his design I guess haha. But the worst part about the movie is realizing we should have gotten a Ghost legends. Fuck Malekith and replace him with Ghost in that wave.

The Shining - i know alot of people like this movie but i think it was OK.
i have never seen this movie till now. this movie reminded me alittle bit of the sixth sense. this movie has more cons then pros for me.

Pros:

musical score was good
it was very atmospheric
the girl who played the wife did a good job
good storyline

Cons:

the movie dragged alot
dont really like jack nicholson as an actor
the ending was dull
too much intro backstory
it didnt pick up till the last 30 mins
whats up with the bear costume guy part? weird but in a bad way.

Sean C 10-15-2018 12:20 PM

Part of The Shining obsession is director Stanley Kubrick, whom film critics and student obsess over, because he was so meticulous. Other read conspiracies into it, like the kid's Apollo 11 shirt as being a reveal that Kubrick really did take part in faking the moon landing.

There originally was a scene at the end in a hospital room where the Overlook's manager tells Mrs. Torrance that they didn't find any bodies or anything unusual at the hotel. The implication being that he's in on the whole curse or something. Kubrick had that scene cut after the film's preview debut.

I was always curious how the ghost(s) unlocked the pantry door. If they can physically interact with the real world, why not just kill people themselves?

Stephen King actually hates the movie.

Tim 10-15-2018 01:42 PM

Titans(dc streaming service one) I absolutely was underwhelmed. I thought Robin was pretty cool, Raven was ok, Starfire was absolutely garbage I’ll explain haha Possible Spoilers from here on as a actor she’s fine even in the show she was actually badass the only problem was at any scene she was in not being aware of what show you were watching you’d never ever guess that was Starfire she’s more of just a Spy/Assassin wannabe not Starfire. I also felt like beast boys induction was shoehorned in. Like they said o fuck we didn’t add beast boy yet. I’m curious what anyone else that’s seen the show thinks. With all that being said I wanna see next weeks episode because of Hawk and Dove’s appearance.

the part that i didnt understand was the ending, why was he in the 1921 old picture in the ball room? it had alot of potential to be better thou.
the old lady scene was good (tub) i think kubrick's best movies were full metal jacket and AI

You have to remember when the ghost said to Jack "You're the caretaker. You've always been the caretaker."

Jack's soul was taken by the hotel, or he was a reincarnated former guest (Kubrick suggested this but never clarified). I go with the his soul was absorbed by the evil hotel and like the other ghosts, he is part of the Overlook.

this movie is awesome but kinda indecisive about this one. i really really really like the puppets but the movie's pace drags alot. it picks up big time the last 30 mins. i havent seen the other 5 sequels which i will be in the upcoming dias. have a feeling this is one of those cases where the sequels are better than the original. the puppets make up for the rest of the movie so i recommend it.

Hereditary - this movie was OK and depressing. make up your mind, you wanna be a drama or horror movie lol the story line was all over the place, it had moments of brilliance but fell short. there was one part of the movie that ruined the whole movie. the part im talking about was the part when they show Annie who was already possessed in the corner of the ceiling then she starts crawling in "mid-air"?? that scene looked like something from disney's A Christmas Carol LOL then you have the lame ending. some peopl told me this was good but not really. On the bright side, it was atmospheric and it has a very good film score

Halloween 2018 - another OK movie. the first half of the movie was just cliche` they even did the famous teen girl falls while trying to get away from the serial killer, smh. the only good thing about this movie is the second half. the rob zombie version was better. the only reason why it has a big box office number is due to the Halloween movie fame and micheal being so iconic. i expected more from this movie, what a shame.

Tim 10-30-2018 05:19 PM

Titans. Episode 2&3. Wow what a difference between episode 1 and 2. Episode 2 is utterly amazing. Hawk and Dove are easily the best part of the series so far. Possible spoilers
The new Villain introduced is a nice surprise. But the overall fight scenes in the episode with Hawk, Dove and Robin particularly are reminiscent of Netflix daredevil in a good way. The Intense fights are definitely worth watching alone. Hawk and Dove need their own show. They’re that great.
Episode 3. Is not as good as 2 but overall a definite step forward from 1. Starfire actually is becoming Starfire.
With all that being said I can not wait for episode 4 and so on. Its nearly as good as Arrow or LOT.

Tomax 11-06-2018 08:49 PM

Very good movie, i enjoyed this one. the movie is visually stunning. always had a thing for native culture. movie has alot of action and the story line is basic but effective. the style of the movie reminded me of the movie 300. alot of slow-mo shots. the only bad thing was they should have made the fight with the sabertooth alittle longer since it was the main battle scene. i recommend this one for sure.

anyway getting back on topic...

this movie is excellent and fun. it has a bunch of easter eggs even more then Ready player one. just to name a few: storm troopers, c-3po, nightmare before x-mas, qbert, pacman, zanchief, chun li, bison, disney princesses (all of them), frogger, the donkey from winnie the pooh and stan lee. i recommend it, no complaints
