I get so tired of the slightly improved versions of figures they do every 1/2 year or less I can’t justify wasting money on & it being obsolete in another few months. All the concepts they’re using in the new Venom figure were present when they did the Separation Anxiety multipack, but they still left in bad points like weird paint apps on the symbol & now they use a new torso style that they could’ve then, & that almost closed mouth. They should release these new heads as accessory packs & fixes (like the symbiote tentacle cover for the shoulder holes) or something so those of us who got the figure don’t feel let down about not wanting to buy a whole other figure just for slight differences.

$40 for a poorly-proportioned Carnage based on the shitty second Venom movie? Hasbro is on crack.

ronriii 05-15-2024 07:06 PM

Honestly glad that Hasbro decided to make one. I ended up passing on the SHF because of the price so this is perfect for me. Considering how great their movie Venom figure turned out, I've no doubt this will end up the same.

CosmicCreature 05-15-2024 10:34 PM

I didnt care for movie but this figure looks like wicked symbiote with good sculpting to me.
30 deluxe figure fair enough well I guess the tendrils are the extra 10 dollars in price /cost.
Im just glad this was sold individually and wasnt packed with movie venom as a 2 pack .

No. They've moved on to fentanyl laced with embalming fluid.

Cyclopswc 05-16-2024 07:47 AM

I can't wait until they make the Spider-women from Madam Web.

Sydney Sweeney in a tight outfit may be the best thing about that film.

Carnage is simply an unfilmable character unless you are making a John Wick type movie… factor in he’s always been a pathetic character, it’s hard to make him compelling outside of the design. Venom was a similarly weak, pathetic villain, but they really improved the character in the movies by making Brock a Woody Allen type.

As much as I like the “live action” superhero films, I can’t help but think comicbook movies are already 80% cgi, so just make them 100% animated so we don’t have to cater to the actor’s ego of showing their face instead of wearing a mask.

True. There are not a lot of saving grace about that film.

Even that couldn’t save it. I passed on it (no plans to even watch it “free” on Netflix) and I don’t know a single person who saw it in theaters. Even some of the stereotypical neckbeards I know who almost never pass an opportunity to ogle women didn’t pay money to see it.

Sony’s extended Spiderverse seems to be DOA. Even Kraven looks like a bad 80’s late night cable movie.

Kraven looks like Sony just ripped off an old 80’s movie called wild thing. Look it up its nuts.

Oh, I haven't watched it. Nor do I plan to. My comment was a simple observation. I doubt anything could have saved that movie.

"Let's make a movie based on on Madam Web"
"Who?"
"She's this weird old McGiffiny blind lady in Spiderman comics. There's obscure then there's her."
"Why would we make a movie about her?"
"I don't know. We hate money, right?"

And that's as far as that conversation should have gotten. It was an idea that never should have progressed beyond the initial discovery meeting.

snake5289 05-17-2024 12:01 PM

They could've done a small-scale Spider-Verse type movie based around Shattered Dimensions using the 3 live-action Spider-Men and put Madame Web in that but no they went ahead and made a full movie about a character no one has most likely never heard of (except for us old 90s Spider-Man TAS fans).

And I know it probably won't be very good but the Kraven movie looks like it could be a dumb fun action movie. I'll give it a shot since I'm the weirdo that likes both Venom movies and Morbius.

They have to take every chance to throw an angry wom-man in our faces. Everyone is doing it. Like a Princess Peach video game now? Why? The best video game female protagonist of Nintendo is Samus, made a long time ago, why not prop & advertise her more? Not feminist enough, I guess, because she was a bad @$$ & didn’t shove her genitalia in our faces at every opportunity.

They probably heard the ladies were only in costume in a dream sequence for a few minutes at most. That's what I heard.

"There are going to be female superheroes in your female superhero movie, right?"

AyaToyBox 05-18-2024 08:32 PM

I know it’s the Hulkbuster armor, but the first thing I thought of was “Juggernaut in Spaaaaaaaaaaaaace”

I would love a massive Jim Lee era Juggernaut. Something bigger than the colossus 2pk but better articulated than the Diamond figure.

Back to the hulkbuster armor… ummm… how does Tony move in it without it snapping his arms and legs? His proportions don’t match up with the suit’s…

Jeddostotle7 05-20-2024 04:00 PM

Just looked at this a second time and realized this is the shortly-before-Civil War "Hulkbuster Argonaut" armor rather than the original early 90s Hulkbuster like I thought they were teasing. Still looks awesome though, and gives me confidence that when they do get around to 90s Hulkbuster it'll be just as cool.

Tarkin 05-20-2024 07:08 PM

The new She-hulk might be the best female figure they ever made after Black Widow. just screams John Byrne. Hoping i can mod that torso to give it more range of motion. Legends team is actually cooking when they are forced to re-use molds and cut corners 90 percent of the time. Absolutely insane we've only recently gotten decent female figures after years and years of garbage from Hasbro.
