Sorry to burst your bubble but the GI Joe Collector Club figures are only available from the collector club mostly during the convention. They may have some product available when they get back and go threw inventory. It will be put up on there site and you have to be a member to be able to do so. I don't even think they have there credit card system set up yet. Which is why there figure subscription service has not started yet.

Hasbro SDCC items will be available on HTS.com the week after the show. It used to be the following Mon but recently they have been taking a little more time to do inventory and list items. CA Convention/sales law says that they have to keep a small amount to sell online. Which is great for people who can not attend. My bet would be Wed for HTS to post SDCC exclusives although I will be checking starting the Mon after SDCC.

I am glad I got the Retaliation figures that I wanted, because my local walmart has not gotten anymore in since they first came out. I have seen some at various Targets and TRU's, but really the only ones from wave 1 that I would buy more of would be Red Ninjas (already have 3) and the Cobra Trooper (mostly for the awesome parachute).

It was frustrating to see all those pics from Joe con of the figures we will never get. That zombie Cobra Commander was all kinds of cool.

Thanks for that info, Miketime. I'm a member of the club so I'll see what they offer. Just looking at all of the pictures has me kicking myself for not going. There were SO many exclusives! I just thought it was going to be the Oktober Guard and Grenadiers.

I'm wondering how many Joe collectors out there did not get the Retaliation figures they were looking for. Wave 1 was a bit disappointing to me but the other waves look really cool. And that Cobra Night Mission Boat with Eel and gear - I can't wait!

I agree that seeing some of those prototypes was frustrating. I wonder how many of those we'll see in stores or through the club. Again, the reason why Hasbro sits on those figures completely eludes me. It just seems like a lot of Joe fans want those figures. They look better than the Retaliation line, the Renegades line, and the ROC line. (Shaking my head as I type)

Yep yep il never grasp how they cancelled that Renegades Coyote,it was truly awesome, and just the right size to be affordable, and space efficient too,i also loved that Renegades Duke in the Heavy armour with strange headset,it looked like a great figure!! Has anyone seen Firefly's motorcycle in their local stores yet?? Just wondered what the price tag is on it???

Snowflakian 07-04-2012 05:12 PM

I made sure to grab what i wanted the second I heard about the toy releases moving.
So I gots my storm shadow and Zartan, decided to pass on SE until the Ninja Duel one.
Kind of wish I got more Storm Shadow's though. His lower legs and hands are awesome for customs.

oh man do i want that Coyote. mix of disappointment and mild anger when i saw the vault pics. ever since the series and toys came out, was wondering why it wasn't produced. i imagine now that it's been shown, it'll possibly make it into some other joe line down the road. or at least i really hope that happens. checked the hisstank boards and it seems enough people would want it produced.

Snowflakian 07-04-2012 05:38 PM

That coyote needs to see a release.

With Dwayne Johnson Roadblock, a ride that sweet would be epic for those of use that got a kick out of Fast 5. Those two paired up together is just pure geekgasms.

They're never going to admit to that, but that definitely contributed to it. It's a few things:

-Battleship tanked
-Avengers killed
-The box office isn't lacking good product with Batman and Spider-man due out.
- The new GI Joe movie may be great but the last movie wasn't received very well.

Some rumors have suggested that initial screenings with Duke getting killed off did not go over well and the studio decided to do re-shoots. It would also explain why they said they pushed back the release to do post-production 3D (even though practically every movie that has that process done is worse off for it. Better to start at 3D than try to tack it on during post).

If it made it to the prototype stage, there is a distinct possibility that it will see an eventual release (assuming Hasbro can find a retailer to take it on). Maybe it will be available when the movie finally hits theaters next year - as an exclusive of some sort.

Rane 07-20-2012 08:18 AM

I know this is the Modern Joe thread, but figured some of you fans could help out with my post on the ID your Toy board. It's the first one (non-stickied) on the board, titled (something like) "GI Joe figure mail away/Sears?"

I hope so! I want that thing bad!
That would be epic to have with Bruce Willis, The Rock, ScarJo, and Sam Jackson. Oh, and of course renegades figures too. xD

scarecrow 07-24-2012 03:23 AM

Just asking out of curiosity, does anyone happen to have a spare Retaliation wave 2 Snake Eyes they'd be willing to part with for a non-exorbitant price? I'd love to get one now, and I'd gladly pay a little more.

trebleshot 07-24-2012 10:20 AM

Unless it's the one with the missile-firing, zip-line backpack, I haven't seen it yet.

It's the movie accurate one. It's been showing up some places, but not many. Really was just taking a shot in the dark :p

Snowflakian 07-24-2012 02:52 PM

Yeah, that's the Ninja Duel Snake Eyes.
I'm still looking for him myself along with Joe Coulton and Battle Kata Roadblock. Those 3 are going to be the must haves/scalped to hell and probably even short packed figures. T_T

trebleshot 07-25-2012 06:09 AM

At least for the next eight months, anyway. But I'll keep an eye out for him all the same. I'm a sucker for Snake Eyes figures.

And if I can't find it, I hope it shows up en masse next year with the rest of the movie line.

Yeah, I'm not the least bit worried about being able to acquire one. I know it'll be a bitch right now for sure though. These things'll clog the pegs before it's all over...
