Death's Head, Freelance Peacekeeping Agent, yes?

Remember that online poll they had of figures folks wanted to see made? The picture of Iron Man 2020 was ripped right off the cover of a Death's Head comic, and of course the mechanoid was nowhere to be found on the list (not surprisingly). They really could have made him during the Iron Man 2 line, or a comic pack with Iron Man 2020 and Death's Head.

I made my own crappy custom using Titanium Man as a base. Could have turned out better, yes?

http://www.majhost.com/gallery/1337W...with_comic.jpg

Not bad! It needs better eyes though- take those google eyes off, sand then down at the top edge (so they match the comic) and re-apply them.
Paint the knees orange and get some round thing for a belt buckle and you're done!

Love that jaw- what'd you make it from?
Did you see DH in the SWORD comic last year?

Snowflakian 08-24-2011 05:45 PM

Characters I'd kill to see but will never be made?

Amalgam. Plain and simple it's in rights hell.
Original Death's Head would be problematic too.

Everyone else for Marvel/Hasbro is open. Circuit Breaker, Rom, and even the legions of obscure marvel characters. I mean heck, they did make a frost giant, constrictor, DarkHawk, and even had a fans choice poll. Not to mention they have plans for even more obscures down the road. It just takes time. They have to balance well-knowns against obscures to keep the waves palatable to retail outlets and kids as well as collectors.

They've also said previously in QnA's that Rom is on the table for someday, but who knows when.

Everyone else is fair game for eventually. It's just a matter of when. For example, we might see that FF Mole monster as a GBP when Fantastic 4 reborn hits theaters. IronMan 3's line may see more comic villians, as well as any other movie sequel. They have to balance what lines will get movie lines alongside what's in MU. Think of it this way. You know for fact Ironman 3, Avengers, Cap 2, Thor 2, and more X-Men/Wolverine movies are coming. So do you do all of them now in MU, and pray kids/collectors will buy the new ones for their movie lines, or do you space them out and cover things you haven't yet first. IM2 classic Ironman is a perfect example of this as a test and how he shelf warmed/needed a full on flightbase as a push.

I fully expect someday we will see all of the solely Marvel owned licenses eventually(well, barring stuff like captain Axis, and similiarly overtly nazi themed that can't be pushed into hydra or similiar), and ditto to the Hasbro ones that are in the Marvel U. Even the newer Death's Head is probably fair game. IIRC though the classic one isn't part of marvel's library of rights.

After how lowcut X-23's figure's clothes are. I wouldn't count Sue Storm as Malice out either in a Psycho-man Malice comic pack eventually.

The captain America punisher and hate monger

The new female sculpt is worse than the old female sculpt. And Thigh Swivles are a pointless and inane addition... especially when they delete the much more useful waist articulation.
The new female sculpt is actually a downgrade in looks compaired to the older one (Like Kitty Pride).
Kitty and Dark Phoenix both look loads better. Even if Scarlet Witch has a better face sculpt.

Basically, she looks terrible. And MU females didn't have a whole lot going for them to begin with.

Tiberius 08-24-2011 06:34 PM

I disagree ;)

trukrdub 08-24-2011 07:47 PM

I would love to see a Sleepwalker fig. Always loved him.

I kind of agree. The waist swivel was nice. I'm not loving thigh and calf swivels, one or the other. There is a point when it becomes too much articulation.

That being said I'm reserving final judgement until I see a finished product. Also I would like to see She-Hulk next to another figure to compare height

so let me ask u a question...u say its a point when there is too much articulation on the female bucks, then how do u feel about she-hulk having double jointed elbows? would it hurt?

Jason Abbadon 08-25-2011 05:19 AM

We shouldn't judge the new female body from those display shots- if nothing else they might have a straght waist swivel....though I'd prefer the original Buck torso in She Hulk.

Not just the female buck, but in general. there were a few of the older toy biz figures with 30+ points of articulation and it was almost impossible to get the figure to stand on it's own. As for the new She-Hulk, again I'm with holding final judgement til I see a finished product

Optimus Vader 08-25-2011 07:12 AM

I agree that there can actually be too much articulation at times.

Prem1x 08-25-2011 07:31 AM

I hate the waist swivel on the women, who have much more shapely torsos than men. It's too disruptive. The thigh and boot swivels may not do it for you on a range fighter like Scarlet Witch, but's it's going to be pretty awesome for X-23 who she shares most parts with. And the new female mold and the She-Hulk has more detailed muscle tone than the first female (even though the new one is more lithe).

tl:dr The new female is better in sculpt and articulation.

Boba Fettuccini 08-25-2011 08:58 AM

I agree. more options for posing, the better. the swivel thighs are also less fragile than the plastic ball-in-socket joints on the older MU stuff, and they allow for sideways movement of they leg, like a real human.

Again, a figure that is highly likely or possible in the MU, so I'd say doesn't quite fit this thread (y'know, "What MU fig you want made but it won't happen?").

The reason I say this is A) There exists one in Marvel Legends Scale B) it would be a super easy mold re-use C) There have already been at least three Silver Surfers released already and D) Similar themed characters including a War Bound Hulk and Skarr have been released.

bmorr 08-26-2011 05:55 AM

were never going to get Dazzler. Nor would I ever think of buying her lol.

She's been in the Fan Poll and a favorite of the MU team. She will happen. Come one , people, we can do better!

boombatty 08-26-2011 06:37 AM

Since ROM was discussed, I'd love to see a Space Knights line-up (they even had a Marvel Mini-Series a number of years back). The characters looked really cool but alas, there is no way we would ever see figures of those.

i'm pretty sure were exhausting the bottom of the barrel for ideas man. I just cant believe that Dazzler Fans exist.

also, some more ideas, I have nothing negative on these characters but they're probably not gonna happen:
Squirrel Girl
The Order
Jack O Lantern
Squadron Supreme
Most Punisher Villians

ohhhh heres something interesting: Kick Ass figures. Id kinda like to see that.

behindthemask 08-26-2011 09:08 AM

Aunt May, J Jonah Jameson, CEO Tony Stark, CEO Norman Osborn, Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, Johnny Storm completely fire free (That one might have been made, but I honestly can't recall *ever* seeing a Johnny Storm that some part of him wasn't on fire)...

Seriously, the thing that annoyed me most when I was little, and still annoys me is the complete and total lack of "civilian" and secret identity versions that didn't have some stupid costume changing gimmick.

Why can't we have Tony Stark? Why can't we have Clark Kent? Seriously, these are what online, convention, and fans choice exclusives are made for.
