Also, in Teen Titans, they kept Raven's demonic origins largely intact. And they did some pretty dark things with her there. Kid Devil's nowhere near as dark or demonic as she. Though, I know you're thinking more about name and appearance Edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Devil Yep, he was in JLU and YJ. Quote:

Kid Devil was kinda in the episode with the circus

[QUOTE=Crazy Jetty;280486]The cast shake-up is going to take some getting used to. I think I would have preferred a major shakeup like this at the start of season three. I felt we had just really started to get to know the cast we had.
Add a few more characters, and set up a few more for the following season. But we'd done all this character building in the first season, and now we're onto new characters with a new dynamic. Would have been nice to enjoy seeing how the previous developments had evolved, first. I still don't understand the Rocket hate. I don't like her because they gave her stereotypical black chic voice and I know a lot of black chicks and they don't speak that way |

did anyone notice the introduction of adam strange?

I get what you're saying. Not giving something a chance before judgement is lame. I had never heard of Icon but he seems really generic. Flight, strength, durability, etc. One thing that always annoyed me with DC is how many heroes just automatically get flight as a power. No need for wings or tech they just fly. In Marvel flight feels more valuable because it is less common. Also, DC characters seem to be able to a super-punch better.

Am I the only one who would've preferred a lead in episode? I think it was a bit jarring to deal with this all at once. This would've confused the hell outta me as a kid. Like switching between G1 and G2 transformers without seeing the movie. |
There's five more members on the team that we're unaware of!
Just like the Justice League designation numbers (two of which are unaccounted for), there is an unaccounted (at least) five members we don't know off (who possibly joined/quit during the time gap) The original season 1 members makes up the 1-9, and the current highest designation number is 22 (Lagoon Boy), and season 2 only introduced 8 new members (Wonder Girl, Blue Beetle, Bumblebee, Mal Duncan, Tim Drake, Beast Boy, Batgirl, Lagoon Boy), which totals 17... Lagoon boy is B22, so there is at least five members unaccounted for. The Young Justice Leagacy site (a video game that takes place during the five year time gap) suggests that Tempest (Garth) was an active member at the time. If he was a member, i would bet that Tula was as well... Arrowette/Secret/Flamebird also made cameos in season 1, could they be the other five? |

G2 never had a cartoon. It was just repackaging a hand full of episodes from the original cartoon. Don't even think they used post movie eps. So, not sure how the jump between g1 and g2 would be confusing for any fan who was around for when G2 started up in '93. Now a days though, it seems to cunfuse the hell out of a lot of people, I'll admit. Unless you're talking about Season 3. That's absolutely not G2. G1 began in 1984 and concluded in 1991. G2 began in '93, and ended in '95, when Beast Wars began. Generation 2 on TF Wiki |
I never knew that. I always thought the movie was the end of G1 as they changed so much.
Also, Mal Duncan didn't really see any action. What is his role in the comics? |
who the hecks mal duncan?
|
I was confused as to what the hell was going on. It would have been nice to say at the beginning, "5 years later...."
|
I've come to accept it and will watch as it all unfolds. I mean even with season 1 I didn't know much bout that team since different incarnation. So...I'll gladly accept this current line up and see how they flesh them out throughout the season.
I can also accept the ebonics speech from Rocket too since her back story pretty much explains it. I don't need a TV series to tell me as I'll gladly look it up if I want to know more. Anyhow, would any one else like to see Artemis be a villain like her comic counterpart? |

Over all though, will be interesting to see this show now, seems like there's too many member's now, and won't build much into character development. |

so your talking about the 1986 season right? generation 2 was a comic, but hot rod was in it tho.

I was commenting on the show, that him talking to himself without explination is part of the joke, one that the other characters are not in on, and explinations will come in due time. Because someone was wondering why they didn't explain it up front (I think). Quote:
Then you're completely mistaken, because if you're referring to the third season of the cartoon (A very bad cartoon at that), with Rodimus and Galvatron, that absolutely was not Generation Two. That predates G2 by six years. That was still very much the original transformers, the original cartoon, and the original toyline. Generation 2 never had a true cartoon, Hotrod never had a toy, and was only a minor character in the comic, and was a direct continuation from the Marvel Transformers. |

It's bound to be jarring. I used to get confused when I missed an episode of any story as a kid. |

But most of those shows had episodes that were self-contained other than minor details. Yes, if you missed the introduction of a new character it might be confusing but they didn't have a lot of multi-episode stories. Also, the G1 cartoon was great for it's time. And all the little foul ups and bad writing just gave it character. |

I was correcting your misunderstanding. |

I grew up with G2 the series, but I was referring to the second generation of transformers. It's a bit confusing, to say the least but I think we're on the same page. Bottom line is, the time skip could've been handled better. |
