Found some of the new 3.75 SW Black Series figures at Walmart this morning. The Captain Phasma looks okay but she's such a weak, one note character that I couldn't see spending $13 on her. Han and Leia just looked terrible though. They just looked like shoddy figures with horrible paint. They were on a par with their Indiana Jones figures from several years back. I miss the days when Hasbro put love and care into 3.75 inch figures.

Yea I recently saw these in store but didn't pull the trigger for the same reason. Outside of slave Leia is their a ready to kick ass or lead troops into battle Leia seems like every fig I seen or have is unable to hold a weapon and look cool or just he slave outfit. I don't really like the bounty hunter one since the bomb is molded in her hand

redx24 08-05-2016 04:26 PM

I saw Mattel has wrestler zombie figs. Could be cool for those that collect 6inch figs to make a zombie dio. I saw the rock triple h undertaker and a few other guys in the line. Undertaker had cool glow effects on his hand and triple h had a crown. Plus each plastic holder looks like a coffin or a dug hole which made the packaging look extra cool

A fresh case on the shelf, except for the scalper bait of course. Didn't even see Wolverine or Deadpool on my hunt all day, the only two I might get after seeing the gloriously boring paint apps on this new series =/

*Updated with picture...even compared to the peg warmer swarm of Red Skull and other older figs these pale in the paint department.

estylez23 08-09-2016 06:37 PM

Same here, no pics but the entire wave was there except for one- Deadpool.

Just my opinion, but The Power of the Jedi Bespin Leia looks great but isn't very poseable, The Vintage Collection Hoth Leia is just about perfect but doesn't have ankle articulation, the Vintage Original Trilogy Collection Endor Poncho Leia is really great but bears no resemblance to Carrie Fisher, and the Saga Collection and most recent Black Series Boushh Leia figures don't have the Thermal Detonator sculpted in their hands. I think the old 5 POA Shadows of the Empire Boushh Leia is the only one who has the Detonator sculpted in her hand.

was at walmart earlier looking for something, didn't take a pic, but I saw the WWE Zombies lol something new??

JokerArkham 08-12-2016 04:30 PM

passed on the wave 4 "Flashback" Joker from arkham knight
wasn't a fan of the paint apps, there wasn't enough definition in the face, it just kind of felt like they were in a hurry to paint it

Does it come with anything besides the camera? No gun = no buy

These 12" figures are still so odd to me. The sculpting and paint aren't notable improvements over the 6" figures and the joints are just as visible plus each one had some degree of paint smudging or slight misapplication so for $50 these are very strange. If they were trying to be adult aimed collectibles then they aren't done any better enough than the 6" figures to pull me in but they're also too costly I think to be have been meant for anybody younger.

Yeah I thought the same thing when I saw those. I'd buy some sentinels or master mold or other big marvel characters in that size tho.

Lazer 08-13-2016 09:56 PM

I liked the Spiderman 99% of the way, if it came with an oversized slice of pizza that would've been awesome. Not $50 awesome, but I think if I walked by it enough times and it had a slize of big pizza I would eventually cave.

305Batman 08-14-2016 07:24 AM

In a perfect world the 6 inchers would cost $15 and the 12 inchers $30.

On the plus side at least, once the 12'' reaches some of the size shifters, they may get more sought after. I'd definitely consider heavily on getting Ant-man and Giant-man, or even Atlas from the Thunderbolts in that 12'' size class.

I bet slot of customisers will Do this with iron man.

Wasn't there a similar 12 inch line a few years ago that had an iron man that a few people painted sentinel colors?

3.75 and 4 inchers would be back down to $7 too.

Not by choice, but I had this in hand at Target tonight and it wouldn't ring up. The manager said that the item had been clearanced out to no inventory so the store shouldn't have it on the shelf anymore...even though it's just been released. Drove home feeling a bit salty, but there were several on the peg so I will just get it some place else.

Zorn88 08-22-2016 08:06 PM

Saw these at Walmart today. Really tempted to get both of them.

I think the ax accessory would go well with the latest ML Iceman.

I passed up on a FO Stormtrooper Finn more than a couple months ago when I saw a fresh stock. Haven't seen one since. Last night I passed up Jyn Erso and Kylo Ren (unmasked) at Walmart and they still have that sale.

saw these at a local walmart here in east texas! not sure if they should be out yet or not! last time i tried to buy something that was out way too early (not my fault, i blame the employees), they refused to sell it to me and i was in my work clothes so to speak (im a vendor kinda sorta) so i didnt want to start any shit with them! lo;

trowa195 09-28-2016 11:55 AM

Yep, I was all happy when I saw this today...

Then the cashier said they could not sell it, then the manager said they could not sell it, then the other manager said they could not sell it. They were all jerks about it. If it is on the shelf they should sell it, to say there is no way is a lie. They blamed Hasbro for a street date restriction. I called Hasbro right in front of them and they said there is not a restriction on the street date for any of these toys and that they could sell them when received. Then they blamed their inventory system.
I understand that people make mistakes, but don't treat the customer like crap because they want to buy something that is sitting on the shelf with a price tag.

By the way, this was in Austin off of I35 and Parmer.
