It's cool dude. Just don't rant here. We've gone off topic a lot before but drama is a big no. Especially when it doesn't have anything to do with the thread at all.

Wish we could get a series of figures for the animated Guardians of the Galaxy series, similar to the Avenger Assemble figures that came out. The designs are based off the cinematic universe, so they could be fudged with the cinematic figures or not. Nebula would be an amazing inclusion as well.

We might eventually if it keeps growing in popularity.
Wait until a non-star wars movie year though.

Two things....
One, glad to see you got your loose Tigershark! Been a long hunt for you.

And B, Red Skull is chillin' by the fireside. Why does everyone have to try attack him? He was just wanting S'mores ...... Can't we just leave HYDRA alone? They like cuddles too ya know.

I loved that quick teaser line. It was meant (at least as I understood it) to just be filler material I between MU and the rebranded MI. A lot of good figures came from there. The best (sorry Ninjister) Black Widow and the comic coloured Fury. A nice Falcon and some great villains too.

Question... When does the Guardians cartoon come out?

kylactus 11-08-2015 12:57 PM

four or five weeks ago in the US.

I have 7 episodes on jayflix ;)

Psycho Pirate 11-08-2015 01:32 PM

Is it any good?

Kernel 11-08-2015 01:54 PM

^ I like it (only watched 1 episode tho). It's a continuation of the movie seems like.

Funny I was just thinking the same thing. It was cool to see drax wielding Ronan's hammer. I wish hasbro would cool it on the 5 POA stuff, and at least do it like the AA cartoon or 2012 avengers movie figures.

Pilkster 11-08-2015 01:55 PM

i think its quite good, i like avengers assemble and even most episodes of hulk agents of smash

Kernel 11-08-2015 03:35 PM

Malekith came up recently so I figured this would be a good time for some dark elf appreciation:

Toy Biz figure.

"Marvel History: The Dark side" was the name of the line it's from. Uses the same mold as Sasquatch.

No, the big thing about that was people that don't listen and don't understand what it represents even contextually in the story.

Sort of. It's an amalgamation of movie and comic like Avengers Assemble is. Same universe as Avengers Assemble too like Ultimate Spider-man, and Hulk Agents of SMASH is. It's a united animated front, but each are also taking place at different periods of time. Like Agents Of SMASH takes place after Avengers Assemble by a few years, though Ultimate Spider-man is kinda sorta running concurrently to Avengers Assemble. It's a very loose-knit continuity since some shows used cameos of older designs before the newer series was made. Like the GOTG appearance in AA last season being different than the designs being used in the show now, but still being the same continuity in the overall animated universe. Or the Captain America designs in AA being different than first season Ultimate Spider-man, but then adjusted to match in later Ultimate Spider-man.

Kamatayan 11-08-2015 05:39 PM

NJCC was a blast! I won the Gentle Giant Snake Eyes!

Ah, well the first series of USM aired the same year as EMH season 2, hence a different costume, but the same AA/USM cartoon universe cast, different to EMH. AA hadn't even had concepts by then I'd wager. Fancy having two sets of cast running simultaneously on two shows. Nonsense.

Yeah, it's a fluctuating continuity thing to keep them united as they can. Kind of tends to happen as plans evolve and grow.

Though actually, the GOTG show may even be a prequel series to AA. They haven't worked with Nova yet, and Nova in USM is already long been friends with the GOTG. I guess we'll find out the next time they cameo in AA or USM or if the others cameo back to GOTG. That'll place them in the timeline like it did for Agents of SMASH.

ukmu 11-08-2015 09:59 PM

Congrats Kam!

I will look up the new Guardians cartoon now, see if I can find some episodes online. Thanks for the heads up.

Great DARK ELF appreciation Kerns. Looking good.

Kamatayan 11-09-2015 05:13 AM

I have an awesome story from NJCC which ended with me getting Galactus. I'll tell you guys later.

Trevor Fitzroy
Random
Pyro
Avalanche
Calaban
Corsair
X-cutioner
Quark
Strong Guy
X-treme
Rictor
Lady death strike
Death bird
Grizzly
Senyaka
Comm Cast
Ch'od
Gideon
Genesis
Exodus
Brood
kylun
bone breaker
shatterstar
cannonball
killspree
raza
commando
Nimrod
Forge
Eric the Red
Douglock
Wolfsbane
Morph
Sauron
Krule
Banshee
G.W. Bridge
Forearm
Marrow
Polaris
Stryfe
Tusk
Spiral
sunspot
slayback
X-man

I was thinking it would be awesome if Hasbro stole a page out of Neca's playbook and made a retro line of modern 3.75" figures biased on the classic 90's Toybiz figs.

I love theses characters but I cannot see the bulk of them getting made, They seem hesitant with X-Men in general let alone 90s obscure characters, that being said, Polaris, nimrod, corsair and caliban are characters I could see, and Cannonball and Sunspot being avengers could show up any time.

I see they have Gamora finally in a minimate based on the cartoon, but I'd even take a crappy 5-POA figure. Nebula too, but then again I do love the SDCC nebula

Kamatayan 11-09-2015 01:27 PM

Story time! So at NJCC, I saw a Hall of Armor Stark for $30 and I knocked it down to $25 and bought it. Later that day, there was this huge bag of of IM2 drones for $30. I knocked it down to $20 and traded some of the drones for a Professor X with his chair. I was happy with everything but then I decided go big or go home. I went up to this guy with a Galactus and told him if he could give me Galactus I'd give him all the drones and Prof. X. He wasn't fine with that so I had to give him Stark. Thanks to that, I got Galactus.

Also, I won the 12" Snake Eyes figure and I really don't know what to do with it. Thinking about selling or trading him now or waiting it out. After all, he's arguably the best Joe so he could fetch a pretty penny later on in life. Thoughts on what I should do with it?

Dark/Ultimate Alliance Galactus, or regular Krusty-O?

I would too but I would have to part them out to make a good one. SDCC nebula is great but I would like a cyborg one too. How friggin long do we gotta wait to get a gamora in this scale lol

@snowflakian thanks for the info. Now I kind of want one of those man things, or the legends one. I remember going to my LCS as a kid and picking up a man thing back issue and getting violently ill afterwards. Odd that character is associated with that in my mind.

I've gotten hate before for this, but I'd be happy with 9 POA for figures. Of course I'd rather have GI Joe level articulation, but I could live with knees, elbows, neck, hips and shoulders. I think that adds up to 9 POA!

You know, I'm the same mostly. The Avengers line had fine articulation. Sometimes we'd be treated with a little extra, sometimes wrists sometimes ankles, but it worked for the most part. Now, I'd like IM2/Thor/TFA level artic, but failing that I can deal with Avengers/TDW/Winter Soldier artic for the next few movies.

Of the lesser MIs I've bought, Chameleon was piss-poor, Bishop was actually pretty good, and Korg was an old buck anyhow.
