Well, for starters, OnyxPhionix has upper thigh or upper leg replacments for the big figs that let Apoclypse or Hulk become their proper, intimidating heights- that's badass and available now.
(cant wait for the new Hulk so I can upgrade him).
http://onyxphoenixproductions.ecrate...thunder-thighs
I've seen replacment lower legs with rocker ankles for Hulk too!

The other stuff is not out yet but there are great new parts makers live Vortious selling stuff like the Hush trenchcoat with AIM arms to upgrae any normal MU (like Madrox or Phantomex).
Which TOTALLY kicks ass! I have two and both the casting and service was flawless! He's got a Iron man head with fflip up faceplate almost finished and I need like I need air meat and women.

Lots of new custom heads out now too. I got that badass Baron Zemo head and tomorrow I start painting him into his T-Bolts outfit- and I have a great Ares head on the way too- lots of customs for me!

It's a good time to be a customizer!

It would involve making a new head and hood at least- all new interior plastic packaging too as something like my custom would be much taller.
Comparison with the MU version:

Still...it really needs to be done! Maybe make the armored suit or Fist of Konshu version- that would rock.

That being said, I prefer new characters to revamping old ones- there's a crazy amount of great characters that still need MU plastic love!

DogFashionDisco 04-15-2012 12:26 AM

That retail Moon Knight looks terrible compared to your custom.

Jason Abbadon 04-15-2012 12:30 AM

Yeah- I never noticed how tiny the MU head is before I made my own!
It's impossibly small!
Really though, that old DD/MK/Punisher buck is very outdated- might work for shorter charcaters though.

The other big thing I noticed is how dingy the MU MK is

One of my Wal-marts that stopped carrying MU has a Quicksilver/Wonderman two pack and Spiderman/Captain Britain two pack at $9 apiece. I haven't decided if I want them or not yet though, maybe I'll just pick them up for the heck of it if they're there the next time I go.

wow, at those prices I would be all over them even though I don't want the Captain Britain figure. Then again they sell for $19-$25 up here.

You've made a ton of great customs, but this could be my favorite! It's simple and elegant, yet an ideal mix of parts. Great job! Hopefully, hasbro takes note.

Tiberius 04-15-2012 11:37 AM

I want to make one.

http://images.wikia.com/marveldataba...616%29_008.jpg

I'd do this one instead, to be different.

Yeah I ended up picking up Wnderman and Quicksilver after all so I have a couple more Avengers. My MU stuff is packed away for now but at least I'll have them once I decide to rotate my figs again and pack my TFs away for a bit so my Marvel stuff can be out for awhile.

Tarooster 04-15-2012 04:09 PM

What's the best place to pick up some flight stands from? I started looking but didn't see anything concrete that was decently priced.

Symbiote 04-15-2012 04:47 PM

Nice Emma Frost USAgent. Looks good.

I like marvel universe figures but has hasbro ever addressed why their legs fall off, or are frozen......I don't understand why they don't use the gi joe articulation with the legs??Whenever i open a new figure my first thought is please don't let the right leg fall off!!!what's up with that??

To be fair, the Joe legs can be loose and different lengths. And overall, MU legs hang on much better than many of the Showdown figures. I think this is just a problem of manufacturing. I have a 4" Street Fighter figure that I have used all the tricks that exist (superglue, green stuff, etc) and that legs just won't stay on! The current articulation really works a lot better with the legs - check out the Jim Lee Cyclops - and seems much more stable.

Hello and welcome.
A better question is why are all of these new folks asking the same question about legs falling off, quality control and how the line is dead or dying.

My only suggestion is don't pull it out of the bubble by its legs. I have only had this happen once out of 100 times. All figure lines have quality issues. It just seems odd that this question has popped up once a week for the last month.

yeah, seems youre right...I think this tends to happen with the original iron fist buck, and it seems to be happening with the namor....but other than that...no other leg issues...

Many of the newer Joe figures come with so many accessories and such for the same price. My guess is that because they have to pay Marvel for the license they try to save money on other stuff.

I had leg issues with my Scarlet Spidey and Bullseye [from the two-pack]~

BTW, to anyone who had the DD and BE 2pack...did any of you guys cut the line thats holding the holster in place on their legs?..that thing restricts a bit of the movement..planning to remove/cut it but thought of asking first...

1andonly5711 04-15-2012 06:27 PM
