I like the Alley one best... I wonder do they actually come with something that HOLDS them up and CONNECTS them together.. It'd suck if they just sent you flat boards that you have to come up with ways to 'prop' them up.

They look cool, but $40 is kind of pricey for just a cardboard picture.

Went to the parents house this morning, and they were stepping out to go to walmart. I decided to tag along. Got there walked to the toy aisle and expected nothing new. Started looking at all the shelves, and i literally bugged out when i saw these on a bottom shelf hidden from the rest of the legends.

No wolvy or deadpool i did snag rogue though and she had crisp paint and her eyes werent stupid looking lol

Spyne98 08-18-2016 08:45 AM

Nice find! ^^^^

Dr Kain 08-18-2016 08:46 AM

So if anyone is willing to buy either Dreadknight or Spider-Man from me for $40 each, send me a PM. If that is more than you want to spend on them, understandable.

Byrnes 08-18-2016 08:47 AM

Just want to give a shout out to Captain Nash for helping me out. I grabbed one of those Black Panthers he had picked up to help us out. Another great example of the awesome people in this forum.

I'd do Dreadknight for $20, but anything higher is a bit too much for me right now XD

Cool! They sent an email that said their Cap Wave 3 figs are on the way to them from Hasbro, so those should be soon.

************************************************** ********************

Got my Raft set today and my thoughts and subsequent actions:

KEEPING:

1. Abomination - He looks decent, to me especially from the waist up. I think some of the BAFs have weird bottom proportions. It's like this with Rhino and Juggs too. The legs feel shorter than they should be and i believe around the quad area should be bulkier. But I still like the figure. This probably means the BAF from the new Cap Wave is getting sold. (but of course once that is in hand it could be a game changer). I like the paint app also.

2. DreadKnight Cool figure. Don't know much about the character so I'm going totally based off of his aesthetics...

3. Purple Man - another cool looking figure. This one might actually have the slight edge of being my favorite. His head sculpt and paint color/tone are great. . Also I have a head cast for Tennant, so after it gets painted..he's an easy swap for the Netflix Purple Man which i'm SURE will be released at some point.

SELLING:

1. The package itself. (someone will buy it)

2. Enchantress - This would have been an easy keep if the single release with the Doc Strange wave wasn't coming out. I actually like the paint app on the single release better.

3. Spider-Man - While i did want to keep this. I just have a feeling in a few years this will just be one of the multitude of Spideys i have that I probably'd want to get rid of. Probably better for me to make a quick buck off of it.

4. Sandman - I like the head sculpt. I like the pants and boots sculpt, but the body section does nothing for me without showcasing his powers or at least be the green sweater if he's NOT doing anything sand related. I could def see someone making a cool custom out of him..but that's a lot of work so...meh.. I kinda feel like he'd be a figure that in the future you'd be looking for, for a base custom sandman...which becomes moot if they actually make a new / good sandman fig... ah..life's decisions...

Monica's digital sculpt was revealed at the SDCC panel, and I vaguely remember a youtuber at SDCC mentioning the rumor of a Blue Marvel figure. Monica and Blue Marvel are also both members of the new Ultimates series, which I've heard is getting a lot of praise. I'm definitely gonna have to check it out.

OH yeah...one other figure, quirkily enough, that i'd want a really good custom of is Jewel.

i was just shocked to even find these this morning.... i've told you before it's like a rarity to find new waves around here. some Walmarts near me are stocking the all father wave still, this walmart which i frequent at least 2-3 times a week, still has some of the rhino wave, absorbing man wave, and red onslaught wave. i still don't get how they only order one case of them and that's it. i saw last month the giant man wave and it was there then gone and they never reordered those again.

I'm still in need of
Nick Fury
Wolverine
deadpool
Namor
new walgreens punisher

I have the extreme sets wrestling arena...these are high quality thick board print outs. My wrestling area a is like three feet tall, it is so freaking awesome. It stands by just folding the sides like those presentation boards. I have two of the that connect together, takes up a huge amount of space when I have my area a set up.

I maybe in for the sector nine set on here for a gi Joe Dino and the alley set as well.

thanks for the input.. i think i'm gonna try out the Alleyway set when they are available..

Hemanguy 08-18-2016 01:41 PM

I spent eighty on my two wrestling pop up sets, the box came with a corner mashed in, but the card stock is so thick and the corners had a protector on them that the display was still perfect. The company didn't pack bad, the post office threw it around to cause the smashing.

Spent eighty and have no regrets it is a quality product for just being thick stock, the print is printed onto the stock as well.

I am pretty stoked to see bbts carrying their stuff because I want the classic ring mat as well and bbts is selling it shaper than extreme sets eBay store and site.

Tim 08-18-2016 02:41 PM

I think they made that sandman in the Sdcc set is a little too tall.

My local card/hobby/collector shop has most of the wave (no Silk, Hobgoblin, or Electro). But as far as in stores like TRU, Target, and Wal-Mart, nope.

He's in sand form, so it's okay with me. The problem will be when they do the regular one as then he will be too tall, but we all know he's coming in that style. Hasbro wouldn't have sculpted all of that detail in his hair if they weren't planning to do a regular one.

That alley is pretty slick. The Sector 9 set looks pretty cool, too. Thanks for the links

Yeah true and even though he is going to use the same mold I definitely buying the Normal version cuz I'm a big spidey enemy fan.

Diana, the toy section manager at our local Walgreens, comes through again! We didn't even ask her to keep an eye out for this one (we weren't planning on picking him up), but she set him aside and gave us a call. Once we checked him out in-hand, we had to get him.

She said that the rest will be put in the shelves in a couple days, so start your engines, kids!

Damn...in my area, not likely. Namor has been peg warming HARD at most of my stores, and a few of them just got resupplied with more of the Hulkbuster wave.

Actually, that's also true here. I guess it depends on the ordering habits of that store's department manager. Either way, at least some stores have begun ordering him.
