I feel the thunder machine should be a regular release, like the vamp, locust, skyhawk etc. i mean if mattel can make those buzz lightyear ships and be 40 bucks then hasbro can do it for roughly the same amount.

You can't really compare the Lightyear toys, they are different lines from different campanies. A better example would be the Fortnite boat that just released was $80 and had no figures and no wheels. I think if they did a HasLab for the Thunder Machine it will be priced along the lines of the Ghost Rider car.

I got my Serpentor in the mail today, and it's nice. Although one of the elbows on mine is stuck and I'll have to take a heat gun to it since I don't want to force it. I haven't got to the air chariot yet, but the packaging is nice, and the picture of him in the throne on Lincolns lap made me laugh.

I can give Sarge an extra coat of paint. But nothing can fix the TERRIBLE geriatric, skinny, no teef Valaverse figure. It practically makes fun of itself.

flansered 11-21-2022 02:56 PM

This is a dumb complaint, but I'm kind of disappointed that they didn't include a blueprints sheet like the old toys did. I mean it's just a pointless piece of paper, but it was one of the things I liked the most about getting vehicles in the 80s line.

Tarkin 11-21-2022 03:54 PM

I guess now the hullabaloo about Hasbro being unwilling to give people a hooded Cobra Commander can now be done with. That was just ridiculous from the start. We really had people claiming a hood would be controversial.

If you're referring to a Reddit post from earlier today, that's fan art man. Impressive, but still bogus.

If they made the Hisstank Haslab, then the Thundermachine would certainly be, because the Thundermachine is actually bigger overall than the Hisstank. Hisstank got height, but Thundermachine is longer.

Ripper has already been name-dropped. That said, I'd be totally down for a TM Haslab with any 'noks included. The Thunder Machine is one of my top ten vehicles- it may not be what most would consider among the all-time greats, but it was one of the first vehicles I got, so it holds a lot of nostalgia for me.

Looking at my Serpentor on the air chariot, and it's impressive, but then I had a realization of how much bigger the HISS is going to be and how much space it is going to need.

flansered 11-22-2022 07:56 PM

Got a shipping notification for Mindbender today.

Well the Hiss tank voting results are a total disappointment. Talk about picking the most boring color scheme imaginable. Some people have no understanding of theatricality.

Kirathis 11-23-2022 10:56 AM

My least favorite offering but absolutely what I expected to win the poll for two reasons. 1, it is overall the closest in color scheme to the other figures. 2, people have a weird obsession with the black/red color combination and some belief that it makes someone or something "awesome" or "more badass" or any other random phrase someone chooses to apply. Personally, I would have preferred the purple or blue for something different. Either way, I will still happily take the extra figure, even if it is not my preferred choice.

It's hideous. That's what happens when the philistine mob gets to vote on style.

It looks like a shitty custom. I can see it now,"Hey guys! First post! Tell me what you think of my work!" Then 20 people simply post,"AWESOME!" or "Keep at it!". When everyone but the dipshit posting knows it looks terrible. However, no one will be honest because the "artist" will get their feelings hurt. Got news for folk...if you want to work in the art world check your feelings at the door.

I wanted the entirely black figure with silver Cobra logo. All black is OG tactical.

In communications class (Com 101, not public speaking) years ago, we were taught that red/black is typically used to depict evil or bad while blue/white is typically used for the good guys. Another common visual was good guys always come from the left and bad guys come from the right. It is weird that these little tropes are still used today. I always notice when good guys "attack" from the right in a scene and think it feels off!

For the record I can think of way too many examples that don't stay true to this standard, but if you have never heard this before it is certainly something you will notice going forward.

Kirathis 11-23-2022 12:27 PM

Surprisingly, I had actually forgotten about those tropes and my degree is in mass communication.

Because if there is one thing Cobra is known for, it is being completely tactical. :D

I assume some people are mad the correct color won.

I picked it because it matches the others so it looks like a team. If Cobra Commander hadn't been the final tier, I would have been more open to the other colors. Black looked like Snake Eyes.

Anyway, Serpentor!

I really like him and his ride. The body is solid. Something Marvel Legends needs to borrow.

If the cape had a little more room, a person could put in a wire into his cape. I tried to feed one but not enough room.

It would be nice if for Vehicles and such that they'd include port holes for stand adapters or hanging.

GizmoTron 11-23-2022 07:17 PM

I like the black and red because it actually matches the other figures and I'm not for all the troops to be uniquely dressed under the evil colored rainbow, so I think it was the right choice.

ScottyHawkeye 11-23-2022 07:21 PM

Serpentor looks amazing

Cyclopswc 11-23-2022 08:35 PM

I'm also one of the philistine mob that have no understanding of theatricality, but I will be getting the figure that I voted for! A win is a win.

Ha! My Serpentor arrived yesterday, and I've only been able to mess around (play) with him today. At one point I had the exact same thought as you.

I saw on twitter that people have been able to insert 24 gauge wire through the seams on the ends of the cape. I am tempted to try it myself on it and the Snake Supreme Cobra Commander.

What stand are you using for the air chariot?

Kirathis 11-25-2022 01:29 PM

The Blue Ninja pack is presently $31.49 on Amazon if anyone is interested.

tierneygreen 11-25-2022 04:50 PM

When Serpentor arrived Wednesday I thought to myself, "This is the best Classified figure EVER." Today Sergeant Slaughter arrived, and now I'm torn...

Of course, I jest. They're both stellar figures, and I'm loving this line more with each new acquisition. I also love this new waist joint the Joe team has introduced. Here's hoping that design finds its way into Legends before too long.

Anyhow, I also got charged for Mindbender earlier this week. If he shows up in the next day or so, this will end up being a most epic holiday weekend.

CosmicCreature 11-26-2022 04:02 AM

Happy to read eveybody getting their serpentor .
Hasbro screwed me and shipped it ups even though i payed for shipping for usps which is always reliable on my route. MY package has been sitting at ups less than 100 miles away for over a week now its delivery day is changed several times overnight.worse is they moved it to when ill be out of town now also. ups wont let me change the date. I Dont know what to do now ? Package thieves make daily rounds here so Guess im out 100 dollars I dropped for this.
Im going to beg my neighbors to check for it hopefully.
