Impersonating a character you predate by two decades is pretty impressive.

Point made but feels like that actually happened to a bunch of established characters during the 90s.

Do you read comic books and how old are you? Just curious because Grant Morrison’s Animal Man run is one of the best

I'm 40s and I don't read DC much. So you won't sell me on non Batman/Superman stuff. How old are you?

Booster Gold is a time traveler so it's not that impressive. Some dinosaur probably also saw him and copped his style in the Cretaceous.

Atomsmasher 11-14-2023 06:32 PM

Animal man and red tornado are easy pick ups.

jayvee 11-14-2023 07:00 PM

First Animal Man, and now Red Tornado. Another instant purchase. McFarlane has my undivided attention right now. I can't help but think that if/when Zatanna, Huntress, Hawkgirl or Power Girl are ever released that it will have been worth the wait. The DC Multiverse line seems to get better in detail and colors with every announcement.

40 years old and you should definitely read a bunch of Grant Morrison. I’m not the biggest DC fan but you are missing out if you only read Superman and Batman from them. Animal Man, Alan Moore Swamp Thing, Green Lantern Emerald Dawn, Green Arrow Long Bow Hunters, Neil Gaiman, and more are some of the best comics or even fiction.

Nope, no time for those other stuff since I barely have time to read even read some of my fav Marvel stuff. Gotta work and take care of the fam first. You would know all about that fellow 40 years old.

If I was you, I’d get off the Internet and go do some reading.

VashTS 11-14-2023 07:40 PM

What a terrible pic by Mcfarlane of Animal man.

That but flap, come on. There are better photos that they could have done.

Just like you are? I didn't know some guy I don't know was going to limit my internet time today. So this is how my kids must feel lol.

mort 11-14-2023 09:38 PM

I am very happy to see Animal Man is a Target exclusive. I gave up on Black Lightning since Walmart made it basically impossible to get him.

I wish DC Icons hung on long enough to make an Animal Man, but this should scale well with my Marvel Select Sue Storm.

But with over half the line as some kinda bs exclusive, stores not stocking (stores here still have that stupid duke thomas batman at full price ) and his stupid “collector” bs at ten bucks over what it should be it just turned me off. I collected his figs because there were several i loved and the price point was low. With the highr price now 30 bucks, the same figs languishing on pegs and the aforementioned exclusives its just too much hassle.

That makes total sense, my man. If I felt "forced out" by those that make the things I want to collect I'd be salty as well. I agree the the new $30 price point is utter bullshit. The only time I haven been bothered that much is with Firestorm. Because he includes 5 sets of hands.

Dude, why are you ALWAYS suck a dick? Jesus, it's so uncalled for. You're in your 40's and actively find reasons to be offended by total strangers.

Do you know where she was found? And what happened to her sword shown in the promo pic?

EDIT: NM. It's there. Positioned horizontally across the top. Hidden under glare.

Tbh, I think Superman with Krypto is kinda worth it. I tried to find a cheap 1/12 scale Labrador retriever dog that looks similar to this and the cheapest one I can find is the 1/12 dollhouse pet dog, and that’s about $10 just for a generic, non-poseable dog, and that’s without the cape and the Superman collar.

There have been poseable Krypto dog toy, but they were all Scooby Doo cartoony.

This is really the best realistic 1/12 Krypto figure we can have right now. It friggin’ sucks that this is a statue, tho. I wish the front legs and the head are poseable, at least.

deecee4 11-15-2023 12:27 PM

I'm digging the captain carrot variant but, I dont get why Superman & Krypto are green. Something to do with composite superman?

That's a good point. But I have no interest in Krypto. Especially unarticulated. So, the value isn't there for me. But you've made me think I can probably sell him off to recoup cost.
